I saw your video for the first time several month ago. The mood in the video and color were all my favorites. These days, if i feel depressed or anxious, come and find your video. Your video makes me happy. My English is terrible because I am Korean. But I hope that my message will be conveyed. I love u!🖤
i understand nothing about, well... anything you just said, but i always watch your videos anyway because they're so calming and aesthetic and beautiful!!! thank you for your amazing content!
Omg this whole time I’ve been driving myself mad because of the outlines of my images... I’ve always thought to myself that I want my lines to be sharp and crisp! So just then I’ve just learnt how to sharpen my image and thought I was doing fine... until I saw your video I was like wth lmao my whole issue was worrying about the textures of my stickers when I could’ve just created a cut line for all my designs and that would’ve made my life soooo much easier like.....5 months ago!? You’re a life saver Cheyenne AND Jordan, i love both your designs and tutorials seriously! Life saver!
When you're selecting your images at 6:31, there's an easier way to do this. Hold ctrl+click the tiny thumbnail of your layer in the layers tab and it'll select everything on that layer. That way you can fill with white easier and you won't need to tediously magic wand everything.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I was so overwhelmed trying to make my first sticker sheet, all while being fairly new to Illustrator myself, and I couldn’t find the answers I needed anywhere. Everything I found explained it in ways that were over my head, including several Skillshare videos that weren’t answering my specific questions. Googling was turning up nothing, mainly because I didn’t even know what terms I needed to search. I was at the end of my patience and thinking of just forgoing sticker sheets for now, when I somehow luckily stumbled upon your video. It addresses every single question I had, and even explains some things I didn’t know I needed to know. It also pointed me in the right direction to have them printed, as I didn’t realise StickerApp (who I use for most single stickers) required additional bleed even on transparent designs, which really would have thrown off my entire sheet. Thank you so much for saving my inept butt. I’ve been binging your videos ever since. Hope you don’t stop creating them anytime soon, they’re of breath of fresh air. 💜🌿
Wow, I watched this video so I can learn how to do some stickers and I finished crying because you are so cute. Literally, I love you work so much that makes me wanna be more like you. Please don't stop fighting, you're amazing.
I think you're definitely my comfort youtuber 🥺 all your videos are so helpful and idk it makes me feel calmer and less overwhelmed about figuring out how to do confusing art shop things ✨
Hi Cheyenne, this was a great overview of how you create your sticker sheets. I'm a graphic designer, so I understood everything you said. I'm glad you're feeling better. Keep up the great work!
watching you fix the anchor points of ur cutlines is so extremely satisfying.. love seeing all the hard work you put into it!! super satisfying and love seeing the process✨

It's always a good day when you post a video. Thank you for cheering up my week with your wonderful voice and brilliant aesthetic. Enjoy your tea!
BIG INFORMATION HELP! Thank you, sorry I yelled. I learned so much; from the boo boo lasso in the beginning, to the words of you saying you take a long time arranging and cleaning up your stickers (because I thought I was doing something wrong when I took too long doing mine), you are so much help. I wish you an abundance of sales for sharing your knowledge.
Bernadette Banner is awesome! A while back, I got super interested in fashion and found her. I binged all of her videos and still can’t get enough. Thanks for sharing this with us! Hoping to get into making stickers sometime soon.
this video was so professionally edited and just so impressive to me as a fan of you and your business journey! it is so very kind and generous to spill some of your magical art wizardry tips with us!
Your videos are so calming and creative. I love your style and how hard working you are, you inspire my creative side. ❤️ Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
omg the things you are saying are totally making sense. i'm making stickers for the first time and this was sooooo helpful. thank you i love your work :)
This video is crazily informative and you're a really fun teacher :) Thanks for sharing your process, it's amazing how many steps and how much time goes into making stickers but the finished product looks SO great! YOU are brilliant, and I hope you're enjoying your January off
wow, watching this went by fast. (didn't notice it was 28 minutes) thank you for sharing your process, chey. i learned so much today! ♥ also: the miter limit at 15:10 is for how much the lines can extend past the original ones. this one is useful for stickers that are pointy, and if you set *joins* as Miter. if you increase this, it allows your stickers to be pointy instead of having chopped off corners. just in case you or someone might need them in the future. ^^
I actually gasped at 19:04 because we have the same background. Cute stickers! Thanks for showing the process. Even more appreciative now that we see all the little nit gritty parts you have to do.
again, I know this is an old vlog. but a tip for making your cutlines. after you have that image trace and expand it and make all the round corners, you can set it up as a stroke - then send it to the back of your drawing and increase the stroke until you get the size you want. after that go to object + expand and then delete what you are not gonna use with the white arrow selection tool. (not sure if I'm explaining this correctly sorry)
Hi! I’m never this early so, I just wanted to say that I love your videos! I play them on repeat when I’m doing work. Thank you for keeping me company while I do work!
no matter what video you post it's so soothing to listen to and watch!!! also, would you ever do a video about your favorite teas? I am an avid tea drinker as well and am always curious about what others drink!!
Hi Cheyenne! I absolutely love your videos they have brought me peace during a time when I’ve been grappling with who I am and what I want to do with my art career 🌸💕 you’ve inspired me to try to experiment with art & stickers to get started on freelance work 💅🏻 you are incredibly relatable and I hope you keep doing what you’re doing - Abel
Thank you soo much for taking the time to film this! It seriously helped me out so much!! I watched a bunch of videos before yours and wasn't figuring out how to create those die lines with just an illustration thats not vectorized! tyty
Yay for feeling better! I absolutely love your stickers and art! Thank you for making such lovely videos! I'm looking forward to your updates. Holiday gift order... coming your way!
Hi Cheyenne, happy to hear you're doing better! I hope you find a way to take things easy while getting back to it all, and sending love and light your way! Literally watched this even though I don't even have the slightest idea of how to use any of the software just because I enjoy your videos so much hahah, they always calm me down and leave me feeling inspired! ✨ (btw I wanted to thank you for an order I placed one or two months ago!! Couldn't reach out to you to thank you because I decided to delete instagram butttt thank you very much 💛) Anyway, I'm very happy you're doing better, best of luck in everything coming your way!
thank you for sharing your sticker-making process. so much work goes into arranging the release of your products and it's all very appreciated!!! I wish you luck on all your creative endeavors. Love you!!! 💖
I can’t wait to start doing my own sticker sheets in the future also can’t wait to purchase some holiday things from your shop when it updates so excited !!!!
This is pretty cool. I'm trying to turn my traditional art into stickers and it's such a struggle! Hopefully I can get it right some day :D It has to be so much fun to watch Connor play it for the first time!
ur so lovely and cute and ur art is so unbelievably beautiful that i'm watching all ur videos even tho i've never had any intention of making stickers. your entire aesthetic has just such a warm, welcoming, comforting feeling that makes everything feel like home and i highkey adore you and everything u do 💛
Hi Cheyenne! I don't know much about procreate or illustrator, but I'm always in the mood to watch one of your videos :) I feel like if we lived in the same town and somehow met, we would be friends. I hope you continue to heal from your colitis, and that the holiday season goes well for you! A break is a good thing to look forward to as well! A friend has been trying to get me to borrow one of their Zelda games, and I've never played it either...maybe I'll have to finally try it!
For making the cutlines, you could "record an action" in illustrator to save you time and many clicks. Illustrator lets you record and save a sequence of actions and then "replay" it, to do all those steps again automatically. So you could save: trace image, expand path, change fill and outline color (and probably even delet the "centerpiece") You can even set a function key for this action on your keyboard and voilà, just select one of your little designs, replay the action and you're done. Sorry if my explanation is not the best, my English is a bit rusty. But just look it up on how to record actions in illustrator.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! It’s freaking soooo informative and has helped me so much! ❤️🥰 You are wonderful! Your shared knowledge is forever appreciated.
@@toribian98 i got the 128 gb one and i've barely used half of that (and that's tbh just bc i synced my 25k photos from my iphone onto it alkdjfasdf) so i definitely don't think 32 gbs is too small!! and with the wonders of cloud storage, if need be you can shuffle things over to google drive xx
It's been a bit since I used illustrator, but I'm pretty sure if you hold shift when pasting it will paste directly on top of what you copied that way you don't have to realign.
Hi Cheyenne, Thanks for your video!! It's super helpful!! Here is a small handy tip when you duplicate something in AI, Use Cmd+C for copy, but not Cmd+V for paste, you can use Cmd+F for Paste in front, which you can paste something exactly in front of the original copy. And use Cmd+B for paste in back, which you can paste something exactly in the back of the original. Hope it's helpful to you!!
Hot tip! When you copy/paste your designs onto your cutline layer in illustrator, if you paste with shift+ctrl+v, it will paste in place so you don't have to fiddle with the alignment!
You did a great job explaining everything. My workflow is very similar and I can't say you missed anything! As others noted you can save time by "pasting in front" (its Ctrl+F on PC, not sure on Apple) and i'd say to flatten items in PS before moving to Illustrator to save time on your "cut line" process, but perhaps that degrades the quality of the print item, that's beyond my knowledge on this topic. You could also use the smoothing tool (grouped with the pencil tool) to smooth the cut lines, rather than deleting points. Might be a smidge faster for you. :) I love reading through the comments to see the tips everyone has. I'm all for learning anything the cuts down my time! Just an FYI for people that aren't Mac users, but do use an iPad, it's just as easy to file share without Airdrop. You can use Dropbox or Chrome and it works exactly the same way. I use one of these (mostly Google Drive because that's where I pay for more space) and share between my PCs, iPad and Samsung Note.
Hey Cheyenne I love this video!! Super informative and great for me as a beginner however with the photoshop update things have changed and I am struggling to move my drawings from Photoshop to Illustrator without a background and since I'm new to all this I don't know where to start, Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Or dare I ask for an updated video?
you're great! Thanks for this tutorial..it's awesome because you put the details on the side, so we can follow properly. it's a great idea. i just subscribed now. i should have discover your vlog earlier so i will learn more. I love it! I hope you can make a tutorial on Procreate too. Thanks for sharing!
I really loved your video. Thankss soo much for sharing the process. Ahh and also if u don’t mind i know a tool ( ctrl + c and then ctrl+. F )for copy pasting just on top of copied artwork. Like u did for cutlines copy pasted stickers on top and lined them. Also ctrl + shft + v (paste in place ) can also b used to do the same.
Hi Cheyenne! You are so funny and great teacher, thank you for this amazing video! I can feel you made it with love. Hope you and your family are well. I'm looking forward to seeing much more of you.
i'll try out your tea recipe lol! i know it's really simple and something a lot of people would find common sense, but i always tend to add too much milk or too much sugar to my tea. i always end up getting a stomach ache when the right amount of everything isn't added :') thanks!!
When you're pasting the pictures from sticker sheet layer to the cutline layer, try command+shift+v instead. It should stick them in the place where the original pictures were and you won't have to adjust them by hand). Thank you for sharing your overall process. It is much appreciated
Okay, first of all thank you for sharing your process, because as much information as there is online, sometimes it's really hard to find a simplified and good tutorial like this. Also, agreed, my hubby and I talk about wishing to play BOTW again for the first time. And I really recommend Octopath Traveler for a turn based RPG, it has a great storyline and it has AMAZING pixel art.
i loved watching this video! & i subscribed 💗 just a tip that i’ve learned, so maybe it will help you or someone else save time... go on the layer that all of the artwork is on and use the wand tool to select the background. then select > invert selection (cmd + i on mac) this will select the artwork as a whole. then you can go to modify > expand. that’s just what works best for me, so i hope it helps someone else!
Literally every single game you mentioned I have and am either working my way through it or haven’t started yet haha. Currently going through final fantasy though!
Omg I just started watching bernadette!!! Also thank you for making this tutorial! I think I'd like to give stickers to my mom for christmas haha Hope you are having a lovely day!

Misch Magnifique !!!! I HAD NO IDEA omg i’m gonna look into this!!!
I love your videos and your art style! You are one of my many inspirations for my own sticker shop
Im in love with that rose tea bag
Your approach to your production is great!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! It’s freaking soooo informative and has helped me so much! ❤️🥰 You are wonderful! Your shared knowledge is forever appreciated.
what I need is a video on how you edit!!! I love it!!
i'll put it on the list!
@@cheyennebarton Sweet!! Also quick question: do you think getting an iPad with 32 gbs is too small?
@@toribian98 i got the 128 gb one and i've barely used half of that (and that's tbh just bc i synced my 25k photos from my iphone onto it alkdjfasdf) so i definitely don't think 32 gbs is too small!! and with the wonders of cloud storage, if need be you can shuffle things over to google drive xx
cheyenne barton ah amazing thank you! You’re seriously so so helpful :)) final question: which version of the pencil do you have??
Oh my god, that's sooo useful, I always felt really awkward making those cutlines. Now I know an easier way to do it 😄 Thank you soo much! 💛
You’re so creative and the intro is so calming to watch. Keep on making new videos please, thank you 😊🙏🏽❤️

I’m loving your channel. Keep it coming!! 😍😍😍
Just found this video and you have the cutest office setup. 😊
Enjoyed your process 😊 Have you tried the smoothing tool for your cutlines? The pen tool could also help to make it faster and smooth 🙂
Hey Cheyenne, a tip for pasting in illustrator: if you press ctrl + F instead of V, it will paste in the same place as copied :)

i loved watching this video!
I love Bernadette so much! She’s everything I wanna be in life
Literally every single game you mentioned I have and am either working my way through it or haven’t started yet haha. Currently going through final fantasy though!
