Don’t forget about the Center channel. That’s where all the Navi, carplay, notifications come from. I did this last year in a f350. You will need one more channel.
Not entirely "every sound that the Sony FMT makes gets reproduced via the iData Maestro." Collision avoidance "bonk bonk bonk" doesn't attenuate the music if playing and screen touches don't give the click feedback. And while I can't empirically prove it with known data, I'd swear that the sirius radio doesn't have any or as much buffer. So when you go under a bridge, it skips or goes dead almost right away. Love these videos and they inspired me to do my Ford Edge conversion to Kenwood, iData, and 1500w sealed dual woofer box. Still makes me smile. Your techniques and tips are very helpful.
The Sirius does that with my factory radio in my 2018 Hyundai. I could have 10 minutes in the buffer and if it loses signal, it will immediately jump to live when it regains the signal.
Great video so far guys looking forward to part 2 and thanks for doing the wiring of the amp rack slower not on fast forward lol I really look forward to those parts of the video but its usually way to fast to really see everything but the beautiful end result if possible please keep doing more like that Thanks guys
I looked up that particular box and one of the bullet points stated: For Best Fitment, Backseats will need to be moved forward 1/2". Was this done or did it actually needed to be done?
When doing an F150 with Sony system these days, what’s the easies way/best device to get signal out and leverage audiocontrol DSP? Is the AR able to be used with any amp ? Or is it better/easier to just get a DSR1 and use it’s DSP. I really wanted to leverage audiocontrol DSP but if it requires significantly more work, like using an amp Pro behind the head unit and out to a DSP, I’ll just go dsr1. Thanks in advance if you see this and take the time to answer, Clearwater/palm harbor native relocated in New England :)
What are the connectors that you guys use to cap off unused wires? They look like regular crimp connectors, but it seems that would just leave an open wire on the end.
First of all sorry my English but I want to ask you something. Why you put the sponge after the speaker? Which is the purpose? And the second one is what is the black thing that you out on the car? Thanks and congrats for the video
Flavio the black stuff is a sound deadener made with a butyl liner to help stop vibration. The grey sponge is to absorb the backwave from the speaker. Both are used to improve sound quality
Guys thank you for making this video!! Question; I have the same truck and I’m currently upgrading the crappy Sony system, I was planning on going with a DSR-1 instead of the one used on this project. Can you explain what is the difference between the DSR-1 and the Maestro Data link? I would think the DSR1 is better since it has its own DSP. Thank you!!
I put a DSR-1 in my 2017 F350. The difference is that the DSR-1 has the Maestro Datalink built into it. All you have to do is buy the correct harness, flash the system on both the Maestro website and the Rockford Fosgate program (only works on windows) and then plug it in and connect the rest of your stereo. It's super easy.
These 2 stay kill it every time with those professional clean set ups.

I wanted to see the final set up and seeing how you did that and you left us hanging like a TV show to be continued LOL great job guys
Badass Video , very clear Explanation for the Viewers who doesn’t have the Opportunity to do this for a Living like we do 👌🏻👏👌🏻👏👌🏻

Aww man. To be continued! Love these full install videos.
I'm jelly of how much aftermarket support there is for these vehicles.
Awesome work again guys. Looking forward to part 2
Nice. Seeing more iDataLink units is asesome.
If you use forscan you can turn on line level outputs and not use the integration piece, but it is nice to see they have this module now.

Well that was an abrupt ending! LOL
Love the background music!
as always, a great show!!!
I need to buy that speaker foam
Great video
Are the tweeters wired to the amp? If so, how?

Where's the mustang you published on facebook?
Did you run new wires to tweeters from crossovers or is there a way to tie back into factory wiring.
Any reviews on that massage parlor?
Great video watched twice👍
Why do you not have a laptop in the bay to flash the modules?
Does the center channel still work?

what kind of zip ties are those with holes for screws?
I have a 18 plat. with Sony sound. Which ar module do I need?
quick question do you know were i could find the amp integration harness for a 2011 yukon sle
Great job guys! I have a 2018 F150 lariat crew cab with the B&O sound system. Do they have a Maestro idatalink set up that fits for my truck?
No not yet. There is only the Nav-tv Zen-a2b adapter out for your truck. We will have a video next week on it.
Five Star Car Stereo Ok, thanks for the fast reply and I'll be sure to check out that video next week!👍
Do you know where he ordered the box from?
www.supercrewsound.com/product1389.html
I need that box!
Just curious, why the AR instead of a DSR-1 and a 801-5/901-5?
It was not out yet when we made this video
Hey guys would that same setup work on a 2011 f150 king ranch?
Nice guys
Do you have to use the amp that is meant only for the datalink? Can i use a different amp?
With the AR you have to choose one of the AR compatible products. If you use the PAC Amp Pro you can use anyone’s products. Www.pac-audio.com
So I can get a massage next door while you guys install a radio in my vehicle?
Where did the sub box come from?
www.supercrewsound.com/product1389.html
Be careful, the rear seats apparently don't fold up with their design...it's not shallow enough.
Gotta question.. lp7-2 both the rear and font speakers play full range. The front are louder then the rear so do I tap the front speakers or the rear?
Outbreak 956 front
Up early just 2 be 1st

Really... I understand you are a Mac guy but come on now... You should have a windows machine also
