Just because something is difficult to play or is complex doesn't mean that it's worth a shit! I would rather create something simple but beautiful versus something complex that only guitar heads will appreciate (boooorrrrring!)
@@sirsupersquare this guitar solo is in no way difficult. It's played with a slide and that's why it's awesome and different with distortion. So if you're point is that it's simple and that's why it's good, I agree....but not clear that's what you're saying.

Because he was playing with a bassist who couldn't really play and a singer who wasn't really a singer. At best, Motley Crue is half a band. Tommy isn't bad. Mick is just playing down with the other two in a big way. That's why he isn't taken seriously.

Best Crue album ever, for sure. A seminal moment in my life was when I was 13-14 years old and heard 'Come on and Dance' on the local college radio station in my parent's car one day. This album literally changed the course of my life, for better and worse. No regrets.
July 19th 2022 my son and I will be rocking at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City jamming out to some CRUE.. I'm 52 and he's 13 she's a bigger fan of CRUE than I am.
I have the very first album! My brother saw them in San Gabriel before they were popular and we have listened to them ever since. They have signed all my albums including my 2FFL album and they were impressed. It pays to live in L.A.
This song doesn't get enough credit! Great tune! Mick doesn't get enough credit as a guitar player either! This solo is Kick-ass! He's got a lot of good solos, and riffs!
The guitar playing is awesome and seriously heavy like! The drumming is pretty kick ass too. They dont get enough credit for actually being pretty good musicans.
Micks best playing ever...i find the best playing seems to be in a guitar player's formative years. Example...Yngwie. His playing around 1983-1986 SMOKES anything he's done since.
Kblogg777 I always thought that Leader of the Gang would have been a better Brownsville Station song for Crue to cover. I guess the Spice Girls are tougher than Motley.
Joseph Hickman my hearing is definitely compromised from this music! Good thing though, most of the "music" (or as I call it, Noise) they call music now SUCKS!
I still get goosebumps whenever I listen to this album. They were playing this at a time when record companies were all about new wave, yet these guys were successful in spite of it. Man did their popularity take off like a rocket when metal came into the mainstream.
This is such an amazing album!!! Nearly every weekend, we go over to my husband's cousins house, and sit in his garage (man cave) play Uno and jam. However, this is one album that we'll jam all the way through!!!
The early day Motley Crue music/Instrument play was fricken badass and definitely under appreciated. I go back n listen now and am in awe of the sound..👀👍
Up front and brutally honest...... Gets my respect every day of the week ....365 ...for sure.... And the leather pants ....hell yeah, I remember a rock star that wore those ......love it
Remember well them opening for Ozzy in Jax, FL on the Bark at the Moon/Shout at the Devil tour. Between the religious frenzy outdoors and the amazing show indoors, it was quite a night.
Everything just clicked for them back than... Success was in the bag.... They were on a roll... When they first came out.... Seen them before fame and fortune at the Sunset Strip in HOLLYWOOD
Early Crue is so much more dangerous sounding. From Theatre of Pain on, they were just a caricature; and that's why they ultimately get underrated as musicians.
This record is very good it's heavy and loud and one can bang your head.. Of course as a band grows the idea is to grow their music. The news everyone. Def leppard. poison. and The Crue are going on true in 2020 stadium only. Yeah bring those days back when it was great. To all remember the monster of rock. with Kingdom Come. Metallica Dokken Scorpions. Van Halen. . well let's is support this tour so other bands we grew in the 80's do a big tour. As for me the scorpions are my favorite band. So let's rock as a hurricane.
Mick's guitar solo on this fucking rules!! Actually, this whole fucking record rules!!

one of the best vocals by Vince here in this one
If I had a dollar for every time I listened to this album I wouldn't be driving a 14 year old car
Speak for yourself, mine is almost 33 years old, but it's an Iroc Z lol. I jam this in that car!!
Id have a few extra bucks for sure. But It would be nice for all the times I Jammed Def Leppard, Megadeth and Metallica.

I have been a Crue fan since I was 8 years old and still listening to them 34 years later. They will NEVER get old or played out to me. 🤘
Mick Mars is a very underated guitarist. Excellent heavy agro riff & solo!
They under use him.
No Mick is rated right, I mean the 80s had absolute beast players
Great memories smoking a bowl before school to this song in 1984 and I was hardcore punk .
I met Vince,he is as cool as anyone could ever be,he love's his fan's,I'm his biggest one.
Hands down one of the best solo's there will ever be. Mick is an under rated fucking GOAT of an axe SLAYER! Viva La Mick
im 51 been with the crue since they started amd this is still there best album probly one of the best of all time

The first two albums really ROCKED!
