I think if someone wants to it’s 100% possible. Get a redbull sponsorship and set up the perfect jump for it, which is probably an insanely large step up so you have less impact on crashes.
Yo man awesome video ! Just wanted to ask if you checked the air time of the "120ft mammoth jump" (when the guy overshoot) or the 160ft jump from the movie "same difference" they might be big enough aren't they ? (update): In the trailer you can see a frame of a blue print form the jump, saying that, in theory, you could reach 4.5sec. According to your data: - 4 flips = 2,866 sec => 0.7165 sec per flips - 5 flips = 3.500 sec => 0.7 sec per flips All of those numbers to say that we could theatrically reach 6 spins and almost 6.5 spins. In that regard riders could easily reach 5 spins... (sorry for my english)
If that snowboarder at recent X Games can do a triple tamedog front flip off the knuckle, then how would two more flips off a proper jump be impossible? It's an 1800 except more dangerous and harder to land because of the axis, but I still think it's entirely possible. And I think it'll probable happen within the next five years, ten at the most.
matej never did a quad at xgames lets be real here guys, i love his riding and like him and he did a switch quad in saas fee which was proper but all the attempts at the xgames were "just" triples
In my opinion, yes, the first clip you showed was in no way a quad. For me the definition of a cork is that your head is, at the very least, BELOW the majority of your body. So basically, the head has to be below the legs, even if only a little bit. Only the last few clips you showed, for me, were quads. And yes, i think we will see a quint at some point. It may require something like classic ski jumping, a purpose build structure with a steep leadup, perfectly angled ramp, and an extremely long , extremely steep landing in order to massively increase air time. Think of the structures that have been built so that BMX bikes can do quad flips, and super size it. Like a hundred meters of extremely steep slope to land on, so that if the trick isn't landed the rider still has a chance to not hurt themselves.
Love these in-depth skiing videos. Not unnecessarily long either.

if anyone can do it I think matej will. He's got bigggggggg sponsorships and is more and more on the rise each year
Randomly found this. I watched the whole video and enjoyed it. So im just commenting to say thanks.
This or next year ✊
The best ski jumpers/ski flyers are going 250m+ (820 feet +) in Vikersund and Planica. Their airtime is 8 to 9 seconds. Might try a quint there, lol
quint cork mentioned rahhhh
Amazing video
What an enjoyable video !

ollie James martin arguably did a quint on his back 21
You want big jumps? Legs of Steel - Same Difference
awesomje
I think the quint will be done.
My buddy Dylan deschamps who just went to Xgames said he is gonna try quint cork at Xgames next year
u for real
💥
maybe just naming quirk but how does a quad tripple exist where does the last cork come from if its only a tripple?
On snowboard there is alr 2 attempts to quint cork

let me try this tomorrow(i will update)
w vid
If any flip is corked, they all are If you disagree , come to my CO mountain and prove it
Just build the JOI jump from 2007 then it would not be a problem
skipuff quad?
I wont comment for the algorithm.
