Great video. I agree that XLE is the best value but i wish it has two options. 1500w plug and parking sensors. I can live without 1500w, but parking sensors would be nice for such a big vehicle. It’s not easy to park a big vehicle like this in downtown.
I just purchased one a few days ago, GH Max Hybrid Limited and while it is really an awesome vehicle overall, there is one small or major problem, depending how you look at it. The fuel tank capacity and range Toyota advertises and is in the user manual is about 17.2 gallon tank with about 450 mile range. If you do some internet searches for Grand Highlander Fuel Capacity Issues or inaccurate, you'll find many are having the same issue, and it was a known issue with previous Highlanders and Rav 4. I basically can only fill the tank up on about empty to about 10 gallons, and it will only get about 370ish miles range. This is annoying, because it means more trips to the gas station and also, it was not disclosed to me this was an issue at purchase. ]When you pay about $60K for a vehicle, to a company that has been around as long as Toyota, you wouldn't expect to have this as a problem, yet, here we are... Toyota is falsely advertising a major feature with regards to fuel and capacity and needs to recall/make this right ASAP.
I own a Toyota Grand Hi Hy and also own an Lexus RX350. They both have this problem but I have a solution. Just pump the gas until it will click and will not pump no more. Now pull out the gas pump out slightly so air can ventilate. Then gently squeeze the pump handle so a slow trickle of fuel will Come out. Continue to fill the gas tank with this trickle flow until the gas is visible. Make sure not to overflow. With this trick you can put in another 5 to 7 gallons! It's a common problem in these cars. The fuel vapors will trigger the shutoff of the gas pump prematurely. I hope this helps.
I’m 6’0” and the lumbar support on regular highlanders hits my back too low for me and is uncomfortable. The Honda lumbar hits me just right. Did Toyoya use seats similar to Highlander or more for a bigger sub like Sequoia? Do you know if the GH lumbar is higher than regular highlanders?
Good review 👍 I like your new Grand Highlander except I prefer second row to be a bench seat and hybrid instead of gas, otherwise I agree with that most features in the upgraded trims are being optional and won’t make a huge difference though
TY for coming down to earth for most of us!! Unfortunate Toyota purposely limiting supply for $$$ Goodbye Toyota! I may have to buy a Chevy and that is bad but I won’t beg!!!
Companies definitely put a lot of thought into pricing trims to make sure they are worth it to customers but I feel like sometimes they add some really good value to trims (base trims even) that make them a really good deal
if u are thinking off getting this avoid the pano roofs they have multiple reports of them exploding and you will not get coverage except by your own insurance company
OMG. There is no LE Grand Highlander he mentions. All of these are AWD when he says he got the "AWD". Then he says it's around 60 cubic feet of cargo space and it is not.
Engine uses the Atkinson cycle which means Direct AND Port injection which means no worries about carbon buildup! Well done Toyota. Honda are you watching???
@@PushingPistonsyou’re incorrect in the beginning. The LE is not the base model on the regular Highlander. The L is. Somebody didn’t do their research first.
Limited adds led fog lights, led daytime running lights and turn signals, power folding mirrors, 2 position memory driver seat, heated steering wheel, real leather seating trim for 1st & 2nd rows, heated and ventilated front seats, heated 2nd row seats, removable 2nd row cup holder console, 12.3 inch full digital gauge cluster, JBL premium sound system, rear tailgate kick sensor, extra wide led center brake light, hybrid version adds 1500w 120v outlet in center row and trunk area. I believe all models have a spare tire inside the trunk storage area.
I just did a test drive. Pros: super space good for 7 adults. A big car and mileage is commendable for the size. Cons: engine capacity is too low for a big car. I am 50-50 on this car it’s too pricy for that engine.
Appreciate this walk around. Helps to know what comes standard with the base trim.

i highly recommend hybrid xle. if there wasn’t hybrid option i wouldn’t but it. pilot was good option. very good family suv.
I could be wrong but i think the 2.4 engine by itself will be underpowered especially when there is 7 occupants in it
Thats why better choice is cx90
Nope turbo engine will be fine loaded
@@edswrld upper trim is turbo, regular is in-line 6
Like everyone else, you forgot to show the ambient lights (evening interior lights). It would be a nice touch to see it.
Good point. We had the car during the day only so I didn’t think about it.
@@PushingPistons yes I know, most of the videos are, but other than that it’s a good video
@@PushingPistons and yes like literally no one does that but mercedes s class videos and bmw seven series because those have so much interior lights
Those tires are huge. I love it. I’ve heard the ride is cushy.
Ya more sidewall definitely helps with a more comfy ride
The only thing that bugs me about this trim is no fog light options!! Otherwise it’s perfect (w/ pano roof option).
Just get the pano as an option and install aftermarket fog lights after.

The seats look almost identical to my '23 Highlander seats.
How much spend gas?
Thanks for the xle. Great job!
thank you!
Totally agree, i wish they had a XLE-premium options for people who wants add ons like the pano roof etc…
You can add the pano roof to the XLE. it’s $1,350
Here in Canada, not an option per dealership!!
Looks like an updated 2024 hearse
Perfect for funeral

I hope the parking sensors can be dealer added. I don't want a car that big without them and a Sienna XLE comes with them.
Good video
It’s called a head-up display. “Heads Up” means look away and run for your life. 😂lol
Middle class suv ❤
Nice review. Can you upgrade the 18 inch wheels on the XLE trim to 20 inch wheels as an option?
i dont know but i was hoping to get a limited and get the 18 inch wheels haha. So i guess some people might be willing to trade
I’m pretty sure you can’t from the factory but dealerships might be willing to swap wheels if you want to negotiate that into the deal.
