Fleurs de Lin is French indeed ( linen’s flowers in English) and I don’t know either why this pattern is gone, it was very sweet.

A Murder House Mystery - Love it. What you can do is let the property manager know that since you are in tornado ally that you want the storm cellar to be cleaned out and inspected for safety. I it's deemed unsafe, they will need to contact the owner and have it brought up to code. You won't have to go in there until it's all done. Maybe the neighbor forgot the 2 ladies lived there because he never or rarely saw them. Congratulations on 4K, and it's only August - hasn't even been a year. 🌻
To be honest I would be checking out that storm cellar asap. Plus I totally expected your word to be murder 😂 🌻

Hey Stephanie, I reached out to a friend of mine who is a licensed realtor (in AZ). I asked him about your murder house conspiracy and he told me that in AZ, realtors are not required to disclose a death in a home during the sale. This is the law in AZ, so you would want to find out what the law is in your area. He mentioned that you can contact your local police dept for more details about possible crimes in your home. You can also research local news with your address or street name to find out if there is a real story there. I hope you find out that no. Murder happened in your new home, but if you get creepy vibes, try a safe smudging of your home. You can order sage sticks online and look up videos of how to do a smudging of your home to rid your new home of old, negative energy. We did that when we first moved in to our home, and it cleaned the energy and helped us settle in. Good luck! Keep us updated on your research.

Totally get what you said about feeling robbed. My grandpa who I was really close to cause I was the first grandkid passed away when he was 64 and I was 12. I treasure the couple of things from him I have ♥

As someone who once lived in a house with areas boarded shut and a deadbolt to the basement somehow locked from the inside after maintenance left it unlocked in case my circuit breaker flipped again, you are in good company for murder house vibes. I was just in Guthrie last month! Hope you enjoy living there, nice town. I stitched that nice Santa on the front of the magazine back in the day - i remember it being loaded with back stitches, even when we back stitched everything! I can’t believe it’s already August! 🌻

Congratulations on 4k. Lol I had to laugh when I saw that binder. I have that! If I remember correctly the binder and tabs were free, but each month you got the leaflets that were curated for you that you paid for. You didn't get a choice in what they sent, so you didn't always get a leaflet to fill in the tabs. It was a totally 90's thing and most of the patterns look it😂😂. I can't remember if I quit the "club" or if they just stopped sending the leaflets.🌻

I am so happy to get a murder house update! Looking forward to learning more about the SAL! We are going to Philadelphia for a long weekend in November. Santa got my hubs Iron Maiden ticket and we're going to visit a lot of the museums there. I'm an archaeologist turned museum professional so we're affectionately calling the weekend "Maiden and Museums" I am so bummed I missed the Stitch4Pride; I did not know about it at all until this video. Thank you for the link to your free chart video! It may be August but I am already working on spooky stitches. Just finished stitching up "Probably Haunted" by Little Stitch Girl. Given the state of your house.... you should stitch it 🌻

Today, I started the process of changing my address! It sounds reasonable to me that it could take a while for the previous tenants to get their COA ducks in a row. Nothing is simple anymore.
The post office has tightened up their requirements for a COA because of concerns about identity theft. If you fill out the COA form on-line, you have to pay something like $1.50, because that gets paid by your bank and the banking information confirms that you really are you. Or, option two, the one I'm doing, is you go to your local post office and they confirm you are you by your driver's license. Apparently, for people with the latest driver's licenses, there is a strip on the back that they can then run through their computer and it automatically updates the address right then. Ta da, mission accomplished.
But I have the old-style driver's license that doesn't let me easily get on an airplane, so she pitched my COA form into a box and said it had to go out for manual input.
The previous girls are probably not moldering in the nailed-up shelter, but, WOW!, what a great camp fire story!
August is a crazy busy month! I had 2 babies in this month, now they are 28 and 30... can hardly believe it. Congrats on your 4K
