  • Watch Pararescuemen assigned to the 83rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron conduct training on tactical insertion and patrolling as a unit to hone their skills.
    Pararescuemen (also known as PJs) are elite Air Force Special Operations specialists tasked to conduct the full spectrum of Personnel Recovery operations. These highly trained operators undertake rescues in all types of terrains and participate across every aspect of the mission, from search and rescue to giving emergency medical treatment in hostile or otherwise difficult environments, in order to save lives and aid the injured. Whether shot down or stranded behind enemy lines; surrounded, engaged, injured, or captured by the enemy, PJs will do everything it takes to get our troops home to fight another day.
    Pararescue Creed: “It is my duty as a Pararescueman to save life and to aid the injured. I will be prepared at all times to perform my assigned duties quickly and efficiently, placing these duties before personal desires and comforts. These things we (I) do, that others may live."

    To All Of You, I kindly say thank you so much for the job that you signed on for. The route that you have to take to rescue the injured, as you know, is to fly into the battlefield, and that is SO Dangerous. The enemy knows that you'll be flying in to airlift the wounded, and await your arrival so they can hamper and/or take your helicopter down. Such bravery and devotion to all of you that puts you in harm's way to save a fellow serviceman. Thank you for being so brave, and thank you all who have chosen to join the military to keep us, at home, safe. No words can say how much you are appreciated. To all that have served, to all that are serving, to all who will be serving in the future, thank you. I want to say a special thank you to all of you that survived injuries that happened, for your bravery and service. To each and every person that lost their life serving our country, who have, in the pursuit of keeping us safe, and free, paid the ultimate price for each one of us, there are no words to express the sincere appreciation and sorrow for your life being taken. To the families of the fallen, I give you my sympathy for having to live without them. We, the American people, feel for your loss. Your loved ones will always be in my thoughts for the sacrifice they gave.

    You never want to be the casualty. You think it is going to be a easier day because you're getting carried instead of running around, but instead you worry about getting dropped, have needles stuck in you, and have your head and arms immobilized and tourniquets put on you. Zero fun.

      @PacoTaco0404040 3:26 and I believe this is just practice so it answers your question lol. From the info I’ve gathered around their trainer knifes a pig in the non vital area and the PJs have to patch the pig up, and as for the human guinea pig… they’ll just use a poor ol’ private, but hey… at least it looks fun trying this for the first and last time lol

    I was looking around the internet and came a cross a picture that had a para -rescueman and it said even SEALs need someone to call. Is that true or are para rescuemen feeling them selves too much? Not being funny actual question.

      Pararescuers save everyone in the special forces community. Green berets, seals , raiders, etc remember that the military is build to help each other.

      I HIGHLY DOUBT that an actual PJ was sitting around making memes and putting together pictures about themselves and other PJs. More than likely it was made by a highly motivated kid who wants to be one, or just a fan. So, no, I don't think PJs actually think that about themselves because they're quiet professionals whose jobs are to rescue other service members which happen to include SEALs.

    Is the time to ask “do they have any allergies” AFTER they’ve been shot? Shouldn’t they have that info on their bodies somewhere..

    • @allanlarsson2311
      @allanlarsson2311 6 лет назад +7

      Mick Funny it's the procedure well at least in the royal medical corps here in the UK so I presume the same in the US. Blood type is on a patch for emergency blood if its needed. Most of the time its quicker ato ask for allergies in emergencies because most of the time they wont have any than looking through their emergency heath records somewhere in one of their molle pouches.

Much respect to ALL of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines gun slingers out there putting it all on the line, especially our elite SOF operators behind the lines.
