    I convinced my wife to choose this over Denali and Escalade. So far we love it. 15-16mpg around town and we’ve averaged 18mpg on 200 mile highway trip so far on the factory 21 inch wheels running 80-81mph. I cancel the cruise control on long steep inclines so it won’t drop a couple gears and maintain speed with my foot. Reliability and Resale were major factors as well. Also we added a Lsailt Apple CarPlay device to give it a modern feel since it’s not offered from the factory. Smooth, quiet ride.

      It's a nice truck, JustHavingFun. One of the few remaining large SUVs with luxury and off-road chops. Enjoy it and thanks for watching!

    I have a 21 LX Sport with RC interior and absolutely love it. Before the LX I had the 20 GX, and although I love the power on the LX better than the GX but LX is showing signs of it's age. I have put 21k miles in a year on mine but I am excited for the new 23 RR Sport and have placed an order for one.

    Good review, how do you adjust climate control from 2nd row if someone’s sitting in the middle? I like it, you can feel the good build quality is so solid and quiet in the interior

    • @AutoAcademics

      It can still be adjusted from the main infotainment screen, so 2nd row passengers will have to ask permission if they can access the console. 😅 Thanks for watching, Fou Uili!

    Are you recording this by yourself or do you have someone with you?
    The camera work is really really good, specially the wide angle cameras.
    Also, what cameras are you using for this? The clarity is amazing!

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 года назад +2

      Thanks, Usman Tariq. This review was recorded entirely by me. I use a Sony a7c as my primary camera, a Panasonic HC-X920 as b-cam, a GoPro Hero 8 for driving commentary and a Hero 3 Black for driving B-roll. I'm happy to hear the quality upgrade is noticeable. The Sony cam is fairly new and I'm still learning its ins and outs. 😅 Thanks for watching!

      @@AutoAcademics You're welcome brother. Wow you're using so many different cameras, that's really interesting. Yes the quality difference is very visible. The clarity of the image, the HDR (specially when you were recording from inside the car, you can clearly see the outside scenery with sky and inside of the car at the same time which was really pleasant to the eyes), the wide angle lens in the back seat (really gives you a good perspective of the car and it wasn't distorted or fish eyed) and the fact that you've recorded all this in 60fps is really cool! I'm guessing, you also do all the editing by yourself.
      Anyway, great review. Hope you reach 100k soon. Best of luck! 👍

    If a person was going to tow heavy trailers etc and would be going on rough roads this is a good vehicle for that use, otherwise a suv non body on chassis , unibody vehicle would be good.

    For over 100K and has mediocre graphics, too few powered folding seats, too much brake travel, and truck-like steering, this will be a deal breaker for lots of well healed customers, I believe.
    Thanks for the honest review, as usual, Chris.👍🏻

      And that's why they make Escalades and Navigators, Ron LHeureux. But for those who prefer that old school, rough and rugged feeling... and off-road capability, here ya go!
      If I may be totally transparent, you get used to those quirks after a few days, and it's not as big of a deal, similar to when you drive a Wrangler. But if you're used to something that's been more refined, such as a Suburban, Escalade or Expedition, you'll notice the difference immediately. Thanks for watching!
