      To be fair (I am in no way defending Tesla IN THE SLIGHTEST) the C6 Corvette has that battery problem lol. Had a moment where a battery died on one and I realized the door handles were electric. Had to look up a video to get into it, but that shows it's still doable on your own and therefore better than the Cyberdump.

      Not too far, but damn do we sure recover the same ground every video. He could reduce these videos by 50% and still have the same current information. It would probably even increase his engagement. I find it hard to traverse through the same issues every video just to get to the current issue. Phil sometimes isn't very ADHD friendly. But I still agree with his position on Musk. I just think there is a lot of redundant information on every video. Literally, we could cut it down to 20 minutes just to catch us up on the current Elon MuskHap. (mishap)

      After COVID-19, public transit is not the place you want to be, around so many other possibly infected people in an enclosed space where your chances of catching COVID-19 are approaching 100%. Here in L.A. they're adding more security cops to the public transit to reduce the violent crimes committed on riders.
      What they should do is take the money spent on public transit and use it to subsidize a program for low income people using taxis, Uber and Lyft.

      @@paulhaynes8045 That's actually a sorta kinda true fact that got misunderstood and garbled. Feynman was at Los Alamos for the Trinity Test and was sitting in a car to watch the blast. When asked about why he felt safe there he said that given the distance the type of radiation left off by the bomb which would reach him would be stopped by the pane of glass. Which is true. People have mistold that story for decades now. Which has in turn made people think silly stuff. Which marketing people then used. And here we are.

      Sounds like the PS3 incident from last year, two years ago? Since they were shutting down the servers the consoles couldn't validate the date/time and as a result wouldn't be able to play any games at all. Even the games bought on disk..
      Yeah. Really hope that the noise about games will be seen as an issue invading every aspect of our life rather than people complaining about toys.

      SpaceX has the most advanced rockets on the planet. Many of the tests performed are expected to fail because the intention is to stress systems to failure so that they know the limits of their product. There is a reason NASA contracts with them.

    What aggravates me is that the people getting conned don't get mad at the conman, but they instead get mad at the people who are trying to save them from being conned - because they've developed a parasocial relationship of sorts, so it's sort of like Stockholm syndrome. You can clearly prove how they've been duped, year after year after year, yet they keep defending him. Maybe it also has something to do with sunk cost. Who knows? It's frustrating though.

The reason they defend Elon Musk is mainly derived by having a lot of loyalty with the brand they buying, Elon Musk is a brand and he gained lots of trust from a certain number of people over the years with his lies, it is no surprise that they will be loyal to Elon Musk even when he consistently fails time and time again.

    The only thing I disagree about is the undermining of the work at SpaceX. The scientists and engineers, not Elon, have really made some notable advances in the field. Them being excited about a failed launch isn't so much about the outcome but having succeeded at one further step to getting there.
