Amplifier is a rock band from Manchester, England. The band has released five albums and four EPs since its inception in 1999. Their self-titled debut album, Amplifier, was released in 2004 by Music for Nations. Their second album, Insider was released in Europe in 2006 on the SPV label. Their third album, The Octopus, was released to fans in December 2010 ahead of a full release in January 2011. Their fourth album, Echo Street was released in 2013, and the fifth album, Mystoria, was released in September 2014.
Amplifier's sound has been described as "Soundgarden, Tool, Black Sabbath, Oceansize and Pink Floyd taking copious amounts of mind-altering substances and venturing on a trip through time and space (to another dimension), and back again. Their music is characterised by guitarist Sel Balamir's effects pedals, extended heavy sections, atmospheric compositions and philosophical lyrics.
I'd also like to add I discovered Amplifier EARLY 2020. They are now my all time favorite band. Always will be. I grew up listening to TOOL which has pretty much been my go to since forever. Now, Amplifier has taken that place. Hard thing to accomplish in my opinion. These guys deserve all the recognition in the world.

Underrated and lesser known in the U.S., definitely worth listening to though!
This band is so good but not that well known, a travesty in my opinion. I have all their albums but not seen them in concert, so thank you so much for posting. Brilliant.

Amplifier are excellent live Jacob. I'm a long time fan but have only been lucky enough to see them once, in Manchester in 2018. The DVD of that (2 hour) show is available on their website and bandcamp if you haven't already got it?
