Hi Jeremy which color to use on grey hair roots I natural have dark brown but I’m having lots of grey hair now and when I color the roots they turn redsh sometimes I want to go lighter and I don’t care for the results please help

To go lighter you will have to bleach your hair to a yellow color and then put the desired lighter shade on. You’re going to need to look for a light ash brown or dark ash blonde to get rid of the warmth that you called red. Color will not lift artificial hair color so any parts of your hair with box color on it will have to be bleached with hair lightener before you can get the lighter shade that you want. Go to a pro is my best advice.

You actually have to take thinner sections over the whole scalp to get the most even coverage
