These videos are so refreshing. Now that I’m getting older and these guys are getting older it’s nice to see them still making it as a tech reviewers post kids, covid and burnout.
Nice to see vlog of BokeBros in Kansai region of Japan 🍻 I'm thinking of Lumix S9 / a7C II for traveling photo / vlog camera, also love watching your travel vlogs. There are lots of express grades for trains in Japan. They mainly divided by number of stations stops at, and the special train with confortable seats / special themes. (Extra ticket / charges for the "true express" trains) p.s. Compare to Tokyo / Kanto region, cost of train rides / tourist in Kansai is usually cheaper because of competition between JR West and private train companies. (e.g. JR West - Special Rapid Service (新快速), which is 2 grades less fast than shinkansei, but there are not charge extra express charge, good for budget travel between Kyoto - Osaka - Kobe - Himeji)
A sub-express train is an express train that has more stops. So it’s faster than a local (which stops at every station) but not as fast as the “real” express. 😄
Good question 😂 I'm only guessing, but I'd assume 'sub express' and 'semi express' are actually just a different translation of the same thing, with 'semi express' being the more common one and 'sub express' being the rather weird translation. 🤔 In Japanese that would be... - 急行 (kyūkõ) = express - 準急 (junkyū) = semi (or sub??) express ...then sometimes you got a... - 特急 (tokkyū) = limited express ...and maybe even rapid trains (快速 / kaisoku)... Overall these train types are handled differently depending on the railway company (which ones exist, how express and rapid trains are "ranked" against each other, which ones require express ticket fares etc.), so the best is just to look up how the company/route handles it that you're using 🥲
I love all of mine! I'm the furthest thing from a "hipster" As far as i'm concerned there's not enough Leica talk... I have to go to certain Vloggers to see anything current.
It's great to see you both together. I miss the DR days so much! 😭

@@SenpaiinJapanGood point that different train companies may have their own definitions and translations!
No Jared Polin this time?😁
thats local artist janksey :)
Electricity in Japan is the most confusing thing. I don't get why they never standardized it.
