@APJ's Experience I think most people understand that when a company offers a "$14,000,000 giveaway," that fourteen million represents the total amount of prizes, not that one person is going to receive fourteen million dollars. And you'd have to be a real dolt not to know that a thousand dollars a month for the rest of your life isn't going to add up to fourteen million dollars even if you lived for two hundred years after you win. What a lot of people might not consider or understand is that it's a thousand dollars _before taxes,_ which boils down to a measly seven hundred to eight hundred a month, and that that amount doesn't adjust for inflation. So even the winners might not be getting everything they think they're getting.

The next day all my neighborhood buddies & I couldn't wait to get off the bus and go home to watch it. So all my buddies get over, my mother had left snacks & soda for all of us, we all get settled in...there was no Superbowl! It recorded the wrong channel or something, I don't really remember, but I remember all of us being so disappointed & I of course felt like an idiot. We got lucky though, one of my buddies found out his dad actually knew how to use the VCR correctly & had it recorded, so we did see it, but it wasn't as loose & fun of environment at the other peoples place.

Any 80s food commercial seriously reminds me of simpler times. I loved family dinners from places like KFC, which seemed like a huge treat.

Which is where some of the most comforting times of my life happened. Thank you for always supplying us with the good stuff Dave. & Stevie Wonder singing a catchy jingle is something i thought i'd never see lol

These commercials bring back amazing memories of the 80s junior high and high school. Riding motorcycles, having fun with all our friends making minimum wage 335 an hour, but still had money to buy the majority of things we wanted. What a simpler life then. I knew how good we had it the best music cool cars, cool motorcycles, great rock concerts , cool, hair and clothes ,and by the mid 90s all the above kind of just stopped and now everything is so expensive. It’s ridiculous ,but watching these commercials. Take you back long live the 80s.
