Abbey Goes to Malibu & Tries Oysters!

Abbey & Cousin Mary head to Malibu on a Tuesday for an "end of summer" beach day! First we stopped in Paramount Ranch, an old western town built for movie sets- but it was mostly under construction. Then we headed to the beach and snacked despite the wind and clouds. Abbey was such a good sport about this unexpected weather change. It was perfectly warm and sunny in the valley, and then cloudy and cold by the beach. This was actually a really good lesson in making the most out of a situation by altering/managing expectations. Then we enjoyed dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, The Sunset- where Abbey tried oysters for the first time!

OMG! Also, I took my oldest to see Soul Surfer at the theater when she was younger. It was so sad but the part where she breaks off her Barbie's arm, I laughed outloud and nobody else did. I got some dirty looks. 😂😬🤣
