I seriously can’t believe it. I talked with my friends before how I think One Piece might’ve been so different if it was a seasonal anime . Where it’s not a weekly episode. And they actually did it for the East Blue Saga. I kinda expected this few years after the series ended
If they adapt like 12-15 chapters with 1 hour long episodes it would be like 73 episodes. That's still a lot of one hour eps but not impossible considering the large audience

@@m.a.dmatt6689 Honestly at the rate the manga and anime is going, I'd argue that if they pace it really well (I mean REALLY well), you could cover all 1k episodes of One Piece in 300 episodes. HxH released 148 episodes from 2011-2014, by MADHOUSE, with great animation/art, with practically every episode holding up well, and amazing pacing. HxH was redone as an anime, just like with One Piece, by a credible studio, so I think that's a good comparison. If by miracle they can do good pacing and release weekly (highly doubt it, probably going to be seasonal and broken up into arcs over years), then it could be caught up to current day in about 6 years or so. However this is a lot of ifs, and realistically it's probably going to be a 10 year production like AoT was. But with Netflix budget, who knows, maybe it will be weekly and Wit will get a huge amount of resources and talent given to them to make it faster.
I'm assuming one of the reasons they do this is to make a One Piece Anime but without all the fillers, which means, it'll be significantly shorter. They might also fix some of the pacing, in which case, I'm all for this.
Early one piece was really well paced but now Wit Studio can animate it to modern standards and fix all of the inconsistencies in character designs, silhouettes, haki usage etc. I never thought we would get a remake while the original anime is still going on. I thought a remake would happen like 50 years from now.
thats what i was thinking, if all goes well they could retroactively update the buggy flashback to what we now know is the oro jackson, with rayleigh and gaban aboard and their updated designs, as well as character designs all across the board (the art style in general).
I just hope that they can adapt the cover stories since most anime onlys get confused in some arcs of where characters of other arcs are in other arcs and wondered how that happened.
@AnyMEmdq from what I've heard, the only cover stories they animated were the worst preforming episodes and this was looking before cover stories really became relevant so they just stopped animating them
I predicted years ago that when One Piece ended it would get a reanimated adaptation. They called me a madman. They said I was insane. NOW ITS HAPPENING, AND ONE PIECE HASNT EVEN ENDED YET!
As someone who just rewatched the dub, and am happy to have a version that could cut the bloat. Desrossa was soooooooo painful! Consistency in the animation would also be great!
Yeah this is insanely hype lol. A true to the source material WiT animated adaptation is something I also didn't expect for a long while, but here we are lol. Netflix really going ham with One Piece and Oda related media in general, which you love to see. You do here Luffy's VA at the end there so I would assume the same VAs would be present. Also hoping they adapt the cover stories when we get to them and definitely make it a seasonal endeavor lol. Excited for more info 😂
I'm pretty sure both Toei and funimation kept the same voice cast when they did kai too. Kid Gohan was changed in the funimation dub but that was pretty much it from what I remember.
@@bantha2890 I'm sure it'll be ok for both versions neither cast is shown signs of slowing down right now. Hell Ikue Otani can still pull off her Pikachu voice after all this time it's amazing.
Honestly this might be a bit of hopium but I wish they would mostly just reuse the already recorded lines from the anime we have now, only getting new recordings here and there. If there's one thing they did right, is the voice acting. This may sound a bit morbid but a lot of them are already pretty old, I'm not so sure Mayumi Tanaka can still do so much screaming for a shounen anime for another 10 years. I don't even think she can still do the same "ATARI MAE DAAAA" scream NOW, so imagine it in 5 years when they reach Enies Lobby again.
Wow this is completely unexpected, I’ve always wondered what a seasonal One Piece anime that has a great studio (happens to be my favorite studio) would look like and we’re gonna be getting something along the lines of a remake. The reason it’s so unexpected is because you’d think something like this comes when the anime ends but I’ll take it for sure. I’m now very excited for how this is gonna look and how it can expand the fandom because a lot of people dont watch it because of the older animation even if people like me like old school animation.
It feels like a nice way to get new people in to the series since a lot people get put off by the whole "over 1000 episodes" situation. So if they make it more streamlined, maybe 1 hour episodes, no filler, solid pacing etc. it'll catch up relatively quick, get new people on board and probably sync up around the very end of one piece so we all can experience it together!
Hour long episodes is a lot to animate. That's like making a movie which takes a long time to make. This new One Piece is most likely going to be seasonal which is just fine. Either a single cour or double cour season.
yeah man, I've gotten endless people into anime over the last 2 decades, and many people into One Piece in particular, but most of the people that I couldn't get into it literally just said "100s & 100s of episodes is too long, I can't commit that much time to it. I don't have that much free time"
I hope Megumi Ishitani is a part of the new remake. Her vision is amazing and adds to the manga . Shes normally in Toei but i love her work. Also, GoatHawk a.k.a Mihawk vs Zoro gonna be fire.
Megumi Ishitani is a genius. Toei may not be a high-quality company, but the quality of the stories she handles is exceptional. Just her participation as an observer in remake projects beyond the company would further enhance their value!
Seeing Tekking mention The Ancient Magus' Bride made me happy. It's one of my favourite anime & I'm glad to see someone else mention it amongst the catalogue of WIT studio. Great 1st season (the second is being handled by their branch studio Kafka). Good job Tekking.
Ive always wanted an "episode of marineford", that way haki can be more apparently. Like imagine white beard letting out black/red lightning and everyone freaks out just for the lightning to suddenly die out because he has a coughing fit. Or his blade having present day armorment when he impales Kuzan! We may never get that but hopefully we all live long enough to see Marineford re-animated in "The One Piece"❤
My most hyped factor to find out is - are they going to stick to the manga palette? I know there are a few characters who got a design remake - Marco being a prominent one overall, but two others off the top of my head being Mihawk and Law for their eye colors - and I'm just wondering will they keep up with the changes or will they revert to Toei's adaptations? (I think Mihawk's change in eye color is great, but I wish Law had kept his golden eyes as well.)
I really feel like the cover stories could easily be added as like a 10-20 second long post-credits type scene. Maybe they might have to merge 2 or 3 cover stories into 1 in order to make it work, since they're like single panels, but I do feel like some of the cover story panels have enough content to create a 10 second scene fairly easily. And they wouldn't necessarily have to do it after every single episode if they were running out of cover story panels (from any amount of merging they did or something). I've watched several anime now that have post-credits scenes and many of them don't do it for every single episode. Idk, I just honestly think that's probably the best way to go about them because if they were just fully animated episodes between arcs or something, it could kind of end up feeling like filler, especially to those who've never read the manga or have any inclination to do so, which is a good amount of people. Tbh, even to manga readers, I feel like some of the cover stories could kind of just be a drag to watch thru week to week if they did it that way. Yeah, post-credit scenes just feel to me to be the most optimal way to include them IMHO...
Post credit scenes don't have to be that short, sometimes they're like 2-3 minutes long and it's still reasonable. And there are very few ones that would demand so much time, like Enel's. If they wanna do it I'm sure they'll have no problem with it.
Not to mention the Dressrosa arc replays Rebecca's story a million times. Hopefully they make it amazing, I would love to see Enel cover story animated too!
I am super interested in seeing luffy vs crocodile redone, its the first fight where luffy is really put on the ropes against a serious opponent and seeing the much higher detail sand sand fruit will be super cool
Now I need to stay alive for who knows how much longer... Jokes aside, One Piece is incredible, man. People who love anime but feel too intimidated by OP's lenght, now they can watch it season by season, with consistent animation style and quality (don't get me wrong, I love the changing styles from the original), without stretched scenes, no fillers, and actually good pacing. The part I want to see the most in Remake East Blue, would be Sanji vs Gin. I always thought that fight was cool AF. I CAN'T WAIT.
Actually, if they keep it fast paced, no unnecessary dragged out reaction shots, no recap at the beginning of every episode... They could catch up pretty damn quickly. Imagine a 4-5 chapter to episode ratio, they could cover all of East Blue in just one 20-something episode season. They could reasonably reach Wano in season 10. I'm sure they wouldn't take on such a huge endeavour if they weren't planning to keep it brief enough, WIT studios isn't known for long running anime (isn't AoT their longest adaptation so far?)
I personally hope that they will take time and don't rush it for the sake of catching up and hopefully don't over work their animators to death! Corent anime went down hill as soon as it started to catching up with manga
@@rubberman3226 norm 2-3 chapters series, above 4+ means the pace is higher than usual a prime example is Tokyo Ghoul or Bleach: A Thousand Years of Bloody War, Pierrot Studios does not care about the quality of the plot, the main thing they care about is money when they are trying to invest in a TYW arc with 206 chapters in episode 52, It is clear that they have deadlines by series, It is clear that bleach is not profitable for them, depending on how they made Naruto Shippuden + Boruto.
Yeah, that reanimation done by toei was worse than the original. I have believe in wit studio, especially after seeing their direction choice in attack on titan where they nailed it. Their musics and sound effects are also top notch. Although the original one piece musics are good, (some are even my favorites), but some are outdated. And they are still using the 90's dragonball sound effects in a 2023 anime.
I was actually thinking the other day about how a remake for Marineford would be really good since haki wasn't as fleshed out as it is now, and it would be cool to see that arc with more of the current continuity.
putting on the record now that I always thought a cool thing the anime could have done is make the eye catches little animated adaptations of the cover stories/color spreads/fan requests before each chapter. two an episode before and after break. I think that way anime onlys can know things manga readers do in a fun and snappy way instead of trying to make filler arcs for it or just flat out not including them, all without halting the story. dunno if they can do that for this since Netflix wouldn't have commercial breaks, just a fun thought
I've dreamed of this day!!! And it's surely gonna be seasonal, which can be a problem (trying to make OP arcs fit the pre-established length of a season when they are all over the place can be a challenge). There's only 2 things I'd like to be kept the same: 1. Oda to make G-8 arc canon, because its extremely good and deserves to stay. 2. I'm almost sure this will happen, at least with the main cast. Of course, I'm talking about the Voice Actors. They are such a big part of the brand itself that I don't see WIT recasting (and we do hear Mayumi Tanaka in the teaser)
They are all getting older though I’d rather they went with newest cast that is sure to finish it out. I am already worried about Luffys not making it to end of series.
I would hope that with the massive backlog and another running anime series they would be given leeway to have seasons be varying lengths even if it meant some seasons are delayed...but I guess we will see. They could also do some restructuring by adding thing in the cover stories and other offscreen events if they need to keep strict season limits
As someone who dropped out of the anime when Alabasta ended & has been reading the manga since 2010. I'm really hoping this new adaptation just faithfully adapts the manga with good pacing 🙏
Been following One Piece since like 13 years ago and it feels like a weird dream that we are getting closer to the reveal of the One Piece. And seeing Roger and his crew achieve his dream. Never thought the day would come but it did lol
the benefit is they have all the content, so they can probably make this a 300-400 episode series, since theres no reason to add filler/padding and can probably fit 2-3 chapters per episode
As a long time op fan.. I hope Wit hits the more impactful moments right. Like gin crying eating sanjis food, Nami asking luffy for help, nico robins, I WANT TO LIVE!!! Chopper crying after luffy yells shut up! Let’s gooooo! Etc.. because with faster pacing those scenes would hit harder! So grateful to have our own great series of adventure like One Piece!!
These were Oda’s really early concepts and designs. I think we’re going to see settings and people that look very different than what we’re used to. This is 25 years later. That’s a lot of time to thinking about things you wish you would have done differently. Even in the live action that was apparent. I’m curious how involved Oda is in this and how much freedom he’s giving to the team making it.
This is potentially going to be really nice to see. Wonder if they are going to go for the more gritty dark art style or the more cutesy simple art style.
It is pretty nice to go back to the start and just see the show progressively evolve as time went on and those early episodes are still pretty good in my opinion. However there is something to be said about going back and updating it to reflect the current times too. Plus now this new studio is starting from scratch and won't have to worry about catching the manga possibly ever. So it's a nice compromise for people upset over the current one's pacing, I personally don't have an issue with that as I don't find it that slow and think people tend to exaggrate it a bit, but now they have what they want.
"The One Piece" will be done by Wit Studios. Wit Studios has done the animation for Spy x Family, some of Attack on Titan, Ranking of Kings and more I don't know of.
I love rewatching one piece. But i would love to see the animation and hopefully they will add things like Haki the way it should’ve been. Oda definitely would love to fix certain things like that.
To be fair isn't like haki invisible, the black coating in armament are only able to be seen by people who uses haki or as a way for the reader to see when haki is being used
I'm kinda confused on this , shanks most likely used Haki in the beginning but besides that when it appeared for real we knew. What else are they supposed to do with it?
I liked that we only started seeing it after luffy learned haki in timeskip. BUT it would be cool to show a small tidbit of it when the main characters use it without knowing like zoro cutting mr 1. It could be 2 second subtle scenes where you would miss it if you didnt know about it.
i love that one of the main problems to people to star watching the anime ist both the length and the the haters always point the pacing in latter arc, and now whe are gonna get this and theres now theres not gonna be a single valid excuses to not enyoining this wonderfull story, this is all a miracle from Nika
My favorite anime from the 90s is Rurouni Kenshin... I was highly skeptical of its new run, but thoroughly enjoyed its first season. Saito and Kenshin fight was top tier. I have faith that they will do great things with OP, and can't wait for it. Merry Christmas
This is actually going to be like the 3rd time One Piece is going to be animated. There was a studio even before Toei who did it (I don't remember but they probably only did Romance Dawn, not the actual One Piece Romance Dawn, but the oneshot) and there was a yt video about it but I forgot which studio it was.
One thing I'm worried is that Netflix will release all episodes at once. I actually want them to release the episode weekly, so people can have weekly discussion and the hype last longer. I'm afraid it will be like Jojo part 6, the hype died because netflix killed it.
I'm the one who did it. Have been doing it for the last 8 years or so. Wishing One Piece would get a remake with 0 filler and good phasing. Was even considering starting founding's on Kickstarter or something. SO today I'm a very happy fan 🏴☠🌞👒
I want them to start introducing haki properly. Show the armament haki effect as early as in Amazon Lily, maybe even earlier. With the knowledge we have now, fixing the haki retcon would be great for the series.
Be nice if at rouge town if we can see Bartolommeo in the background as now we know he was there during the events but he wasn’t thought up during the original run I’d love small things like that put in
I love you’re already talking about this tekking, I just found out when I woke up and you already making a video as you found out. I’m like so freaking happy man, I’ve been wanting this dawg I’ve been praying for this remake dawg
Live action and anime wise I hope they flesh out coby a lot more. Like getting to know hibari and groose earlier on to fill up odas characterized story as you can feel he cuts corners to hurry along which isn't a bad thing the anime can use that for filler too
I don't, honestly. I don't want the story re-written, that can be added when the time comes, maybe expanding on the flashback that introduces her or something like that. But I'd hate to have to Koby parallel story running through the series. Wanna make a gaiden with his story? Fuck yeah, go for it!! (should start after Enies Lobby, thought, to not spoil his reveal or Garp's)
@@AnyMEmdq Less Coby and Garp, we don't want a live action part 2. Just keep it to the source material, make it well animated, well paced, and it will easily go down as the best anime in history.
@@readifdumb There are some things from the live action that I'd welcome, though. As the story progressed Oda added elements retroactively into the story (like Zoro's fight with Mr 7, or Arlong Park being based off of Sabaody Park, just to point the ones the Live Action took for season 1). If they showed or hinted at those elements I'd be perfectly OK with it. Things that are faithful to the source material, even if not to that specific chapter
And I reply to myself, because this is a massive spoiler, chapter 1101, so I'll leave a bunch of blank spaces . . In the Post War flashback we get Luffy's past since we was dumped with Dadan until he sets sail. If the new anime wanted to include, by the end of it, when Luffy is already training alone, a ship in the back with Kuma's Jolly Roger, that'd be amazing, for example
I have only watched a few key moments in the anime so far, as the animation quality is all over the place and there is far too much padding for my taste, so this remake is potentially a godsend!
i did not know Tekking liked The Ancient Magus' Bride i loved that anime i did not know it was getting a season 2 though thanks Tekking for the The Ancient Magus' Bride update
I always dreamed about a one piece anime that had similiar pacing to something like Jojo where it compresses 1100+ chapters down to 200-300 episodes. It would be awesome if they did something like that and be brave enough to take out some parts of the manga to keep it concise instead of trying to make each episode in a way where it magically doesn't even cover the contents of a single chapter like toei does. I don't know if this is the direction they are going to take though.
@@AntiCanchiyou’d be surprised. GOOD pacing in an anime is 3-4 or maybe more depending on the chapters (there are some really low page count chapters), so just saying 4 and doing the math puts us close to 300 episodes.

I hope they use the same voices as in reusing the audio, but I dont want them to start over with the voice acting. Luffys actor already said she's retiring when it ends
I hope that the new anime tightens the pacing and cuts the filler. I've always been of the opinion that the anime could be compresed to ~500 episodes. I hope they don't just make all the episodes 1-1 with the toe episodes
I really hope this is what I think it is and it's basically One Piece's version of Dragon Ball Z Kai. And that if we get through enough of it, they adapt all of the cover stories. Edit: The better analogy would be Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The One Piece: Brotherhood.
I really, REALLY need the music in this one to be amazing. If we’re really lucky it’ll even evolve with the series as it progresses and evolves. That’s my biggest gripe with the Toei version. The og music is iconic, but much of it doesn’t fit with the current story and visual style as well as it used to.
You know ever since the manga officially entered its final saga, shueisha has been trying to get as many new eyes on one piece before it ends. First they introduced a live action show for people who really aren’t into anime and people who might be intimidated by the anime’s long ep count and now they introduce a new remake of the anime for people who prefer animation but don’t want to deal with the problems the toei anime has gone through, bad animation quality and especially super slow pacing
Oda introduced the live action, not Shueisha. And he's been working on it for like a decade. He first announced his deal with Netflix in mid 2017. Add at least a few months of negotiation, add any other team proposed previously, both by Netflix and by any other company who might have wanted a piece of one of the biggest IPs in the planet, and he's easily started working on it in the early 2010s
Imagine that is like a third of the original Toei's adaptation. 300-400 episodes. That's like a 6 or 8 years of interrupted emission. So if the manga is ending on 10 years, this could be a slow production for a big fat anime on Netflix.
Luffy vs Lucci was the fight I immediately thought about when you brought up what fight we'd like to see reanimated. Because even including Wano, it's still the best fight in the series
What I'm most excited about is the pacing changes. This will be the most true version to consume an anime adaptation of one piece by the time it finishes and by the team I'm like 35 years old (currently 26), I will be there watching the whole thing
It was meeeee! I wished upon the star! Unironically, just a few days back I was talking with my friends and explaining that I want a reanimation of the story.
Its nice to see WIT Studio take on One Piece. They have done a phenomenal job with Attack On Titan. Just out of curiosity, why did WIT Studio stop animating it? Was it really due to production issues or was it something else? Favorite fight im excited to watch is Zoro vs Daz Bones in Alabasta. Im also hyped to see skinny boy Luffy beating people up again. They really dont be confused because if the character comes back in the story they give their flashback aka their cover stories
For sure, especially rn, like the aokiji in WCI cover story
@AnyMEmdq from what I've heard, the only cover stories they animated were the worst preforming episodes and this was looking before cover stories really became relevant so they just stopped animating them
But think about characters that haven’t made their way back to the story yet, Enel, Bege, Bon Clay.
Wit is such a good animation studio I’m so glad they are doing this they are amazing they are gonna kill this
I predicted years ago that when One Piece ended it would get a reanimated adaptation. They called me a madman. They said I was insane. NOW ITS HAPPENING, AND ONE PIECE HASNT EVEN ENDED YET!
You're only half right, One Piece hasn't ended yet xD
Your a madman cuz you thought they would wait till one peice ends
It's not even ended. Well that's power of One Piece.
So you were wrong then... Idk what you're getting so excited about LOL.
That's so true. People would try to fight me if I said this a few years ago.
Kid Gohan was changed in the funimation dub but that was pretty much it from what I remember.
kai was just a re edit with some music changes . @@Cloud-dt6xb
Yeah hard to believe the main cast wouldn't be coming back, unless some unforseen circumstances happen that makes one of them unable to come back
@@bantha2890 I'm sure it'll be ok for both versions neither cast is shown signs of slowing down right now.
This 100%
Hour long episodes is a lot to animate. That's like making a movie which takes a long time to make. This new One Piece is most likely going to be seasonal which is just fine. Either a single cour or double cour season.
_Dude._ Seasonal One Piece is like a dream come true.
@kingtrax5759 it happened to Pluto so it not impossible
yeah man, I've gotten endless people into anime over the last 2 decades, and many people into One Piece in particular, but most of the people that I couldn't get into it literally just said
"100s & 100s of episodes is too long, I can't commit that much time to it.
Shut up
i doubt it. they would not really need her for an early saga one piece
Seeing Tekking mention The Ancient Magus' Bride made me happy. It's one of my favourite anime & I'm glad to see someone else mention it amongst the catalogue of WIT studio. Great 1st season (the second is being handled by their branch studio Kafka). Good job Tekking.
I just want a well paced one piece anime!!
Hopefully they can do the cover stories
Cover stories animated each episode would be really cool I didn't even think about it
I'd love it as a small part after the outro. Yes separately over a few episodes
Crocodile fight with the orchestral track at the end. Can't wait for the HD treatment.
Ive always wanted an "episode of marineford", that way haki can be more apparently. Like imagine white beard letting out black/red lightning and everyone freaks out just for the lightning to suddenly die out because he has a coughing fit. Or his blade having present day armorment when he impales Kuzan! We may never get that but hopefully we all live long enough to see Marineford re-animated in "The One Piece"❤
would be really cool

Now they just need to get a book for every major arc. For example, a big book for Impel Down + Marineford arc and a book for Wano.
I absolutely ADORE The Ancient Magus Bride. Such a beautiful, complex, and emotional series.
Luffy vs Rob Lucci will be *FIRE* reanimated. That gatling always gives me so much chills
Imagine having the cover story included in the correct timeline
I assume its just gonna be a condensed version with no filler and the added visuals of haki to make it appear as though it was present from the start
I need that Marineford arc remake!
One piece: *1100 chapters and 1090 episodes*
Wit studios: yo,you wanna run it back?
I was actually thinking the other day about how a remake for Marineford would be really good since haki wasn't as fleshed out as it is now, and it would be cool to see that arc with more of the current continuity.
0:35 that would be me. I genuinely wished it last night hoping for it to be announced this jump festa
The pacing alone is going to make this infinitely better than the original anime.
Can't Believe I'm gonna be 50, 60 maybe even 70 years old and still be looking forward to the next One Piece episode
I've been saying this was going to happen there aren't a lot of new gen Manga / anime that can carry Toei and other studios right now.
putting on the record now that I always thought a cool thing the anime could have done is make the eye catches little animated adaptations of the cover stories/color spreads/fan requests before each chapter. two an episode before and after break. I think that way anime onlys can know things manga readers do in a fun and snappy way instead of trying to make filler arcs for it or just flat out not including them, all without halting the story. dunno if they can do that for this since Netflix wouldn't have commercial breaks, just a fun thought
It could be that cover stories are a short segment before the opening
It’s still gonna be on TV since Fuji TV is also signed on for the project
I've dreamed of this day!!! And it's surely gonna be seasonal, which can be a problem (trying to make OP arcs fit the pre-established length of a season when they are all over the place can be a challenge). There's only 2 things I'd like to be kept the same:
The english dub I want all the new cast from the live action would be cool lol. 😂
My dude Any they gotta keep the same musical scores and osts as well, that's a must to me too.
I would hope that with the massive backlog and another running anime series they would be given leeway to have seasons be varying lengths even if it meant some seasons are delayed...but I guess we will see. They could also do some restructuring by adding thing in the cover stories and other offscreen events if they need to keep strict season limits
I will never understand the obsession with g-8 its alright at best.
I love the Davey Back fight!!!! Zoro and Sanji team up, promoter Usopp, and Afro Luffy!!! That shit epic
To be fair isn't like haki invisible, the black coating in armament are only able to be seen by people who uses haki or as a way for the reader to see when haki is being used
@@dum-e8628essentially yes but it still woulda been nice for the viewer to have seen it as soon as it started showing up.
@@DTPandemonium 100% that’s what I’m saying. But Could you imagine the paramount war and seeing Whitebeard or Mihawk or any of them would be amazing
JJBA Stardust Crusaders also had an OVA adaptation
My main issue with the toei animation is that they add about 5 to 10 mins of recap and prolonging scenes in many episodes
i love that one of the main problems to people to star watching the anime ist both the length and the the haters always point the pacing in latter arc, and now whe are gonna get this and theres now theres not gonna be a single valid excuses to not enyoining this wonderfull story, this is all a miracle from Nika
I was waiting for this video the moment I saw the trailer
14:36 I'm ready for a redo of Skypiea, Enies Lobby, and Thriller Bark. Those were some of my favorite arcs.
There's no money is releasing all at once, they won't
Oh gosh I did not think about that.
Zoro used Hakim in alabasta
Haki*
Haki is not a retcon it was always around. He added the visual to make it more clear which they could do earlier but that is not a retcon.

I just hope Netflix does NOT step in to direct and just allows WIT to do their thing _🙃🙃_
For real. Let it be like with Edge Runners.
I hope they will also shorten it a bit and make it more compact without unnecessary long moments.
Live action and anime wise I hope they flesh out coby a lot more. Like getting to know hibari and groose earlier on to fill up odas characterized story as you can feel he cuts corners to hurry along which isn't a bad thing the anime can use that for filler too
Koby
And I reply to myself, because this is a massive spoiler, chapter 1101, so I'll leave a bunch of blank spaces

In the Post War flashback we get Luffy's past since we was dumped with Dadan until he sets sail. If the new anime wanted to include, by the end of it, when Luffy is already training alone, a ship in the back with Kuma's Jolly Roger, that'd be amazing, for example

If they can get The Walk to Arlong Park right, then we know they are on the right track animation wise.
Oh, they can... Don't trust my word, watch Vinland Saga, watch AoT. They definitely can do epic badass moments
More concerned with the fight scenes personally. The walk in the og animation was great.
It still bugs me that Netflix only has half of the original anime, as well as movies / OVAs that spoil people who have seen all of the seasons NF has.
I have only watched a few key moments in the anime so far, as the animation quality is all over the place and there is far too much padding for my taste, so this remake is potentially a godsend!
I bet the complaints is why they're doing this. Get rid of the padding!
i did not know Tekking liked The Ancient Magus' Bride
i loved that anime i did not know it was getting a season 2 though
thanks Tekking for the The Ancient Magus' Bride update
I always dreamed about a one piece anime that had similiar pacing to something like Jojo where it compresses 1100+ chapters down to 200-300 episodes. It would be awesome if they did something like that and be brave enough to take out some parts of the manga to keep it concise instead of trying to make each episode in a way where it magically doesn't even cover the contents of a single chapter like toei does. I don't know if this is the direction they are going to take though.
300 aint no where near enough 600 at the least
@@AntiCanchiyou’d be surprised. GOOD pacing in an anime is 3-4 or maybe more depending on the chapters (there are some really low page count chapters), so just saying 4 and doing the math puts us close to 300 episodes.

They won't adapt the cover stories most likely. Very low chance. The new show would be very fast paced

It's not. Kai was a re-edition of DBZ. They remastered it, recut it, and reshipped it. This will be an entirely new product done from scratch
The studio adapting it is the same studio that made Bubble, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and Pokemon Movie: The Power of Us.
It features a combination of anime and medieval Viking wich I love medieval Viking and anime
The Angel's in the outfield movie... man that takes me back
Imagine that is like a third of the original Toei's adaptation.
That was when the anime went hd too so it already looks super good but adding a more modern coat of paint to it will likely look amazing.
What I'm most excited about is the pacing changes. This will be the most true version to consume an anime adaptation of one piece by the time it finishes and by the team I'm like 35 years old (currently 26), I will be there watching the whole thing
The marineford battles with haki will be incredible

Its nice to see WIT Studio take on One Piece. They have done a phenomenal job with Attack On Titan. Just out of curiosity, why did WIT Studio stop animating it? Was it really due to production issues or was it something else?
Favorite fight im excited to watch is Zoro vs Daz Bones in Alabasta. Im also hyped to see skinny boy Luffy beating people up again. Like Baka Banana (Crocodile) or Ear Lobes (Enel)
