We played this once for husky band day, where we would go to the university of Washington and play with the Washington huskies. Now, we play it as a pep tune, and it’s SO much adrenaline when the low brass hit those whole notes in the beginning. I love playing it so much.
Same!
I LOVED HUSKY BAND DAY SO MUCH
We went to the WSU state champs in October, we didn’t win (we’re Naches) but the pain I went through was worth it. (I am in a boot since September 2021 and the one I had during the competition was a faulty and ended up physically scarring my ankle and a bunch of walking made it so much worse.)
I'm an alto saxophone and I play at the beginning. It has become a tradition that the oldest 2 altos get to play it. And me along with the girl I've played with since 5th grade finally get to shine. We're freshman and the only 2 altos for now
nothin like playing the bass with this song at pep band
Or halftime at games
Facts
I played this in pep band as a trombone one of my favorites
awesome
oh i see, all the marching band arrangements dont have a bari sax part. as a marching bari sax im offended
Zach C there's no bass clarinet either
@@emmalinethompson6517 I don’t normally see bass clarinets March… our bass clarinet plays regular clarinet in pep/marching band
your band teachers letting you march bari sax 😢i wish
There are parts for it - they’re just not in the score. It’s usually a copy/paste of the tuba part, with the octaves changed as needed.
