I'm curious, of all the times you had to 'rescue' someone, how many could you have just kept them healthy as Ana and enabled them to keep being aggressive?
I’m guessing your character is like an extension of the flowers box? If you touch a wall it stops so you don’t glitch through it, if your touch a ceiling or touch anything it stops. That’s probably how it works.
Not looking forward to the desperate pulls when the LW is about to die. Just like pulling that Mercy into three enemies first point when you were dying. I'm going to be so angry as the other support when my LW pulls me to him when he's about to die to try to help. Ugh, man.
His kit is cool but his primary heal seems a little bit hmm. Ik "support not healer" but 65 is kinda rough, considering he has to charge to reach that and moves slower while doing so. Otherwise high ground utility & his ability to let teammates jump in a fight then snatch them to safety are really really neat. He seems especially potent for teams who are good at communication.
@mL7 Has it been tested if let's say, Cass has his ult and pops it, enemy team ducks behind cover where they are; though you are awaiting behind them to pull the cass to you now that he's charged up and he take's PoTG???
Am I the only one that’s worried? His utility is sick and all but he needs an unrealistic amount of teamwork, especially in ranks below masters. His hit box is massive compared to other supports and he doesn’t really have anyway of protecting himself without possibly fucking over other teammates. I feel like it’s gonna be super easy to accidentally troll teammates, especially if not everyone’s in voice. His cooldowns are ridiculously long especially considering his healing and damage are simply just kinda ass on their own. Idk I feel like other supports like Ana and bap have a more simple, helpful, and realistic amount of utility while also being able to heal and do a lot more damage than him. He’s cool conceptually and can probably make some cool plays 10% of the time (if you’re not GM) and the other 90% he’s just kinda eh. None of his abilities would make as much of an offensive difference as, say Ana’s nade, or baps window. Idk again he’s cool but I doubt he’ll be played consistently unless he’s buffed off release.
I think they need to throw out the weapon swap shit. Just make his dash a double jump like Hanzo instead of shift and then his heals and weapon can be right and left click.
Agreed I feel like it’d be super annoying to half to shoot swap charge and than heal to than swap to shoot again. 😂 imma have to learn his whole damn rotation.
I have a wild feeling they're gonna add a lot of QoL options in the settings menu for him. Or at least I want to cause the idea of swapping weapons ever half second while doing 90 other things just sounds exhausting.
One change I would t mind: increases healing blossom by 200% after you pulled someone towards you. Makes it easier to heal someone to fill after you rescued them. The healing does feel a tiny bit underwhelming
The pull is SO GOOD. I got in a game with a higher level LW, picked Rein, and I just got to int into the enemy like an absolute moron. My LW would yoink me back at the perfect time, correct my positioning, etc. I just had to trust my supports. We did this with literally zero voice coms. It may have only been QP but the game put me, a bronze tank, against a gold tank and diamond dps. I Never died. I, a mercy Main, felt like the most chad of the Reins. LW can literally carry by carting his dumb teammates around with pull.
After watching this, I feel like Lifeweaver could need some changes. I think the life grip could potentially have either 2 charges with 20 seconds CD or maybe reduce it to 16 seconds since it feels like it's a suzu type ability but worse since it's single target. The primary healing definitely needs to have better hps, either increasing max heal to like 75 or just have infinite ammo, maybe like faster change rate would do too. I feel like the platform could provide active healing overtime for allays on it only once it's activated too, like maybe 10 to 12hps? It could help compensate for his lack of aoe healing. and tree of life definitely needs more healing per tick, like maybe 60 per tick or increase the tick speed to 1 50 heal per 1.2 sec or sth. It somehow feels weird that the shift can't provide the small burst heal to other nearby allies like aoe, since it provides little mobility, it could used as a small aoe burst heal thingie as well. Overall pretty decent character, but needs a lot of buff I think. Great gameplay though!
Mate i guess you are one of those best 500 hundred players...but mate, for being new to the character you really do well. In min 3:25 to 3:35 was excellent. I wasnt even thinking to play with him but after just watching this bit...I will...gonna copy you a lot though lol
His kit is unique and allows a lot of saving and smart plays, but I still feel like his healing and damage is overwhelming in a way I'm not sure it pays off. I mean ok he can pull someone out of danger with Life Grip, but it's in a 20sec. cooldown, and still when you save someone with it, they can still die easily due to the slow heal he can provides.
Support is nice and all but does his weapon seem more a close range weapon like honestly its a fast projectile but it feels like the spread gets worst the farther it goes.
The only reason Lifeweaver didnt look that bad in these games is because the adversary also had lifeweaver, against two real supports it will show more.
Scroll wheel or reload are probably the easiest. Since your inactive weapon goes on its reload timer as soon as you swap. If you shoot a full clip and then swap and throw 1-2 flowers, your damage will be reloaded when you swap back.
I definitely think his heals could be a tiny bit better, but i actually like that theyre not amazing - cuz his focus is on his utility. So maybe a tiny buff to it would be a good balance. He's so fun to watch!
@mL7 I truly think that lifeweavers healing should b buffed and I’m curious if u feel the same and if not then Y? I’m not saying it needs to be even ridiculously strong but atleast enough to help top even a non tank up a lil easier like if when u charge it fully u can shoot up to 2 back to back fully charged heals or something
I feel like he's the definition of the word support hero. His kit is more towards supporting his teammates rather than healing. It feels like healing is more of a bonus in his sense. With him, people can't call them healers, it's support.
I think he should have some sort of a area healing like Lucio but significantly lower because of his other healing, just so he does a bit more to help out maybe idk
on the other note on ult voice. What Lifeweaver say in Thai translated the same as in English. But literally make no sense in Thai as a something we would say.
Lifeweaver definitely has the same problem that Kiriko has, in that he's too difficult to use for a lot of players. Especially on console. We need more supports, but I'm worried that players will bounce of this guy. I still play on console from time to time, and the que times for anything other than support are still horrendous.
I feel like they should make his dash ability into an air jump like hanzo and move the pull ability to shift. That way he doesn't have to swap weapons so he shoot more like bapiste. I'm curious, of all the times you had to 'rescue' someone, how many could you have just kept them healthy as Ana and enabled them to keep being aggressive?
he sounds so flabbergasted when he does the low hp gasp, he is so over dramatic lmao
Watching this gameplay, if your co support dies I feel like the fight is lost. He just can't heal enough
9:51 With the success of Wide Baptiste the overwatch team would like to announce WIDE BRIG
Lifeweavers pull could work nicely with the new Brig ult. She goes in aggressive and he pulls her back shortly afterwards.
“Go deep” is a new comms from now on🤣
The pull is SO GOOD.
THIS IS THE OLAF CONTENT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR 🎉🎉🎉
After watching this, I feel like Lifeweaver could need some changes.
Great gameplay though!
how would pharah ulting into pull work
Dude gave you 100% honesty at the beginning and I respect it
His Thorn Volley is so cool x.x
Mate i guess you are one of those best 500 hundred players...but mate, for being new to the character you really do well. In min 3:25 to 3:35 was excellent. I wasnt even thinking to play with him but after just watching this bit...I will...gonna copy you a lot though lol
His kit is unique and allows a lot of saving and smart plays, but I still feel like his healing and damage is overwhelming in a way I'm not sure it pays off. I mean ok he can pull someone out of danger with Life Grip, but it's in a 20sec. cooldown, and still when you save someone with it, they can still die easily due to the slow heal he can provides.
it's almost like there are two healers on the team or something...
Support is nice and all but does his weapon seem more a close range weapon like honestly its a fast projectile but it feels like the spread gets worst the farther it goes.
I literally cant wait to play him.. but those heals they need buffing
The only reason Lifeweaver didnt look that bad in these games is because the adversary also had lifeweaver, against two real supports it will show more.
What button prompt are you using for weapon swap to look so smooth? I need to come up with something that works for me.
Scroll wheel or reload are probably the easiest. Since your inactive weapon goes on its reload timer as soon as you swap. If you shoot a full clip and then swap and throw 1-2 flowers, your damage will be reloaded when you swap back.
@@user-et3xn2jm1u having it on the same button as reload is a good shout if it allows that, ty for the idea.
They would have died if there was a confirmation option. People take 5 years to press the interact key when I drop a Symm TP to escape Zarya ult
The yoshi sound for the yoink is iconic
11:47
Lifeweaver: Need a lift?
Cassidy: Need a doctor! D:
please these callouts
''go deep, deep inside'' i'm going to pull out'' 😭😭😭
I definitely think his heals could be a tiny bit better, but i actually like that theyre not amazing - cuz his focus is on his utility. So maybe a tiny buff to it would be a good balance.
He's so fun to watch!
saving people and hearing them say "thank you" is so satisfying to me idk
Thank you for making great overwatch content!
*Clap* *Clap* *Clap* Editors did a great job. *Clap* *Clap* *Clap* Keep up the good work.
What about using oetal to lift an enemy up then cancel the petal. So you can shoot them easily as they fall
Mad focused that second game lol
I feel like he's the definition of the word support hero. His kit is more towards supporting his teammates rather than healing. It feels like healing is more of a bonus in his sense. With him, people can't call them healers, it's support.
The lifeweaver and sym combo is going to be so fun, tp to high ground then pedal platform yourself even higher 😂
I think he should have some sort of a area healing like Lucio but significantly lower because of his other healing, just so he does a bit more to help out maybe idk
26:39 LMAO 😹
I can’t express how much I love the sound of his dmg weapon it gives me halo flashbacks😂
on the other note on ult voice.
I wonder if you can pull reaper when he ults to get more kills?
*clap* good job editing Olaf in, also great content as alawys :)
This was the creator I’ve been waiting to see lw content from
I feel like they should make his dash ability into an air jump like hanzo and move the pull ability to shift. That way he doesn't have to swap weapons so he shoot more like bapiste. The weapon swap seems clunky. Also, the dash ability already works in the air it seems so why not just make it an air jump ability
Wonder how are they putting all those abilities in a controller
Wait I though you couldn’t play rank with lifeweaver, is this a custom/scrim?
Bro had to put his whole weavussy into it
He's gonna comp well with symmetry in pro play because they'll figure they can follow the pulled enemy. But with symmetras traps, not a chance
Clap Clap Clap for the Olaf moment!
