Stuart, your personal life is way more important than the RUclips life!! I'm wishing you and your family, all the strength, to overcome this horrible disease🙏🙏
I've just caught this video, Stuart, and would like to wish you and your family all the best as you face a very challenging time. I hope that in a couple of years this is all behind you and you can build on the success of your gallery and focus on your excellent photography.
It seems somehow wrong to "like" a video such as this but it does at least show some appreciation for the update. I truly hope that Jo gets through the treatment successfully. Wishing you all the very best, the new gallery looks inspiring too from the brief glimpse. Take care.
So sorry to hear about your news Stuart. I hope Jo's treatment goes well. Your gallery looks brilliant with the short part you showed us. Take care and look after yourself and your family. Wishing you all the best in the future.
Hi Mate, nice to see you back online, I wish you & the family the best. I am sure Jo will knock the illness into touch. I look forward to my Keswick visit later in August & hope to pop into the Gallery for a look.
So sorry to hear this Stuart - Hope all goes well with Jo's treatment and recovery. The only upside is that I always find June and July hard going for landscape photography here in the UK so at least there is that small consolation.
Stuart, Thanks for letting us all know. This RUclips thing is strange because I know that all of us out here are really strangers to you. At the same time, after (virtually) going out on so many photography trips with you and watching your gallery business grow, many of us feel a real camaraderie for you, and we really do care a lot about you and your family. So, I'm really touched that you would share all of that with us. I'm sure that was difficult. I'm deeply sorry to hear about the difficulty that you and your family are and will be going through. You and your family will be in my prayers. Also, the gallery looks great. All the best from Virginia. Bill
Thanks for the update Stuart though it’s very sad news. Hope all goes well with the treatment and look forward to seeing the new gallery in person, looks amazing.
Wishing you and your family all the best. Have missed your videos but your loved ones come first. The gallery looks fantastic and I'm sure will be a great success.
Very sorry to hear this from you, Stuart. I wish you and your sweetheart all the best! A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago and everything went o.k. till now… I don‘t want to give you any unwanted advice, please don‘t get me wrong. But you have got such helpful skills for such a situation: your creativity and your love for nature. And you are living at the well. Please use this to get better, best regards from Germany, Martin
Glad to hear your fiancée has a plan for her and i wish her all the best , tough times indeed for your family unit. The new gallery looks fantastic im sure you will make a success of it. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the coming weeks. All the best mate 👍
Stuart - thought I would reach out to you as I really enjoy your videos and am a fellow former ‘nuke’- now retired. More importantly though my wife has just emerged from her breast cancer journey (surgery in November then 18 weeks of chemotherapy and has just completed 5 sessions of radiotherapy). I know this is a lot easier than the journey your fiancée has to undertake but I have to say that although the chemotherapy particularly is very hard and unpleasant, the health service and MacMillan support, for you both, is outstanding and both of you will come through it. I was lucky that my retirement coincided with my wife’s surgery as my new career became cook, dog walker, fire maker, chauffeur etc. and that filled my time. Photography largely took a back seat but does give you a pressure relief outlet which is also very important. Stay strong and I sincerely wish you both the very best of outcomes - brighter days will dawn!! Clive
Oh, Stuart, so sorry to learn about the challenges you and Jo are facing at this time. Sending as many positive healing messages to you as I can in this medium and hope the days ahead get better and better for you. So many people are pulling for all of you!!
Gee, one of those times when most comments I can think of just don’t convey quite how the thought wants to come across. Have only just watched this video, and I’m so sorry to hear your news. The great thing is the undercurrent of positivity that comes across. All the best to you and your family during these difficult times Stuart, like many other people I can only wish you all the kindness, good wishes and support that you’ve shown to others over the years. Take care.
Hi Stuart, thanks for letting us know. My wife (also Jo) was diagnosed with breast cancer 20 years ago. We got through that but she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer five years ago. That’s been more difficult. Every day is a blessing and you will have good days ahead. Sending positive wishes your way and hoping for the best for both of you.
Life chucks these things at us to test us. Adapt and overcome, its all we can do. Best wishes to you and yours. Hard watch that. Puts things in perspective. My wife is dealing with stage 4 kidney disease which isnt an immediate threat but as time goes on gets worse and we have to keep pushing. Think people forget that behind the scenes you never know what people are dealing with and to stay humble and be kind. Again, best wishes and good luck with the gallery.
Very best wishes to you and your family at this difficult time, Stuart. Look forward to seeing your inspiring photography videos when the time is right for you. Take care.
It’s good to hear from you Stu and I’m glad that Jo is feeling positive, even with such a difficult journey to face. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to checking out the new gallery when I’m back in the Lakes.
It was great to finally meet you and get into your wonderful new gallery the other weekend 👍🏻 and I’m very sorry to hear about your fiancé , im sure she is a fighter and everything will work out , take care buddy
I was amazed at the new gallery when I visited in June. How you achieved that with all those worries is a credit to the man you are. All the best wishes to you and your family. ❤❤❤
Really sad to hear your news Stuart. Wishing you both well whilst you try and deal; with what has come your way. Looking forward to seeing the new gallery next time we are up in Keswick. Take care.
Oh Stuart, so sorry to hear this. We were only wondering at the weekend why you had been away and were hoping you are okay. Our thoughts will be with you and wishing you and your family much better times ahead!
Hi Stuart, tough times indeed. When i saw you in the pubcast video recently I said to myself that something's not right with Stuart, so thanks for the update. I can't say I have the first idea of what it is like for you, but you certainly have your priorities set correctly from where I sit. I wish there were more but all I can do is wish you, your partner and family the very best. If I might offer one suggestion ... don't forget to occasionally look after you, since if you don't you'll not be able to help the others ... easy said, not so easy done.
I was so happy to see your thumbnail as I had been wondering how the move had gone, but so sorry to hear how difficult it's been for you and your family Stuart, sending best wishes to you all. I hope to get over to the Lakes after the schools are back and will definitely be popping in to the gallery, hopefully Mr R will treat me to a print for my birthday 🤞
Wow. I was only yesterday thinking I hadn’t seen anything from you for a while and thinking maybe you’ve been having problems with the new gallery or something, then this morning I see this video. I can’t begin to understand all you and Jo have been - and will be - going through but family and health obviously comes first so any break in social media is completely understandable. Really hope everything works out well for you guys and hope you have a very supportive network of family and friends (&maybe help organisations) to help you through all the hard times - that’s so important. Best wishes mate & take care.
Gallery snippet looked first class. Sorry to hear about Jo , just thought the lack of output was due to the new gallery. I hope all goes well with Jo’s treatment. Wish you all better times.
Life is never easy, especially when someone close to you is facing a battle with cancer. Everything stops and you automatically start running on auto-pilot being the supportive husband. I think we all understand that your priority is looking after your family at the moment and everything else will have to take a back seat until opportunities arise when you feel you can once again resume concentrating on the things you enjoy doing, which you also happen to make a living from. Take a step back from all the non-essential stuff and I look forward to catching up with you once again when you're past this challenging period. Keep positive and remember to take care of yourself and not just those around you. Gratefully accept any support you're offered and make the most of it. Thinking of you.
Your family comes first, takevcarevof them I know you need money to help them, but RUclips will be there take care, have Faith everything will come together ❤️
Sorry to hear of your news. Hope Jo's recovery goes well. I was in the gallery last month whilst in the Lake District and it looks superb with stunning pictures. Wishing you all the best.
Stuart, I saw your news several weeks back when you posted on X, so its understandable you rightly refocusing your time and energy into your family. I hope the treatment goes well for your fiancée and the photography momentum picks back up for you in the fullness of time.
You take care of yourself and your partner. Believe me I know first hand how something like this changes your priorities. I nearly lost my wife last August and everything has changed in my house since then. Your health, your child's health and your partners health come first.
Best of luck, my wife has been dealing with leukemia for the past 15 yrs and has just had a hip replacement I can understand what you're dealing with a disabled child as well 🥰👍
So sorry to hear your news Stuart. I dropped by your new gallery in mid june to see the new place and to meet the person behind the vlogs and incredible photography. Brave man, and brave woman. Family is always, always the first priority, no matter what. I wish you all the very best. As Winston Churchill said, “ if you are going through hell, keep going!”
All very understandable mate. Private lives are where we actually live and they are private, friends and family only stuff. Very sad to hear about your girls cancer and wish her the very best of outcomes. The gallery looks beautiful so, hats off to you Stuart. Best wishes - Trevor
Just wanted to wish you all the very best of luck for the upcoming months Stuart, not an easy thing to go through on top of normal day to day stuff we all have to deal with, then add your Disabled Child into the mix and at times it will seem like it’s too much. All I can say is don’t be scared of asking for help, I’m sure family and friends will be more than happy to help. Hope to get back up to Keswick soon, hopefully the Gallery will be open this time but if not, I’ll know why.
