Many of us have been there, it’s so real and makes more people aware…..to help all you see that have it. We all are the solution, never forget that. Thanks Hap…. ❤️❤️

Great song that most of us can relate to. Brad Arnold has written a point in his life when he felt he didn't know when he would come back up again. You hit it on the head Hap. Perseverance.
    Peace J ✌ ☮ 💕

I think the song is about depression and he is talking about his experience as he has gone through depression. The words: "I'm over this, I'm tired of living in the dark, Can anyone see me down here? The feeling's gone, There's nothing left to lift me up, Back into the world I know." He is tired of being in this mental state, but as he states, there is nothing left to lift him up. I think the sun he is talking about is he does not have the mental ability to find the family member, or a therapist that can help him. The words: "Away from the sun, That shines to light the way for me, To find my way, Back into the arms, That care about the ones like me." I think he is so depressed that he can't function and get the help he needs. I think the song is a very personal song and I think Brad did write the song about his experience as he did battle with depression. I could be wrong, but having to go through this battle myself many times, I know and feel the pain he is talking about.

I was so waiting for your comment to the lyrics, turned out it was what I expected 🙂 ai was brought up by tough love, as the only child, my father especially never wanted me to be spoiled and as a real "macho" tought me to be tough, self pitty was no option..I am not saying that's a good thing and, of course, there were tender moments, but somehow I learned not to go to dark places for every hard moment in my life. Now, getting older, I know what would trigger that (my children involved) but for anything else - I just say to myself "Snap out of it! Life is short." So I agree, we are the ones who can help ourselves the most, although a comforting word helps, sometimes even a professional help is necessary, but that's another topic.

Brad Arnold, conveys the struggles with life's struggles and emotions when one cries out when all seems hopeless to anyone that can literally help them. from the bottom of nothing to seeing that glimpse of hope they once felt. When someone realizes help is needed they are the only ones that can really help themselves but search to find a way to go about it. A great song, one I wanted to share. HAP YOUR ANOLOGY WAS ON POINT, THANK YOU FOR YOUR HEARTFELT REACTION!! 💜🎵💜🎵

Three doors down is an awesome band!! To me, they have always had a very distinctive sound. I think even if I didn’t already know this song, I would know it was Three doors down. Amazing reaction….the lyrics are deep and relatable!! Great choice Deni!! 🌻🌻

Good song pick Deni! There are alot of people that need to seek out others, & get the help they are so obviously needing. Sometimes, they just don't see it themselves. Very very on point HAP! 🥰🔥🥰

Although I maybe down from the ☀️ physically and financially I am not down from the Son! I was brought up in the 50s and 60 s by fantastic parents, although we never had much money we never knew it and my parents loved and supported us we never got down. Thanks my dear friend for this great song! Love ❤️ from across the pond.

Excellent reaction and great song. I consider myself a classic rock guy. A lot of 60's, 70's and early 80's. A few bands I have followed into the 90's and early 2000's and this is one of them. A great band and a lot of gems you can react to. "When I'm gone", "Kryptonite" and "Citizen Soldier" among them. Oh, and "Landing In London". Or anything from the "Away from the Sun" album.

I was an abused child and thrown out on the street at the age of 13 by alcoholic parents who didn't want to deal with a teenager. Many times I fell down that hill and had to claw my way back up. I did some things I'm not proud of just to survive, and I wonder what kind of person I would be if I had a better child hood. Now I'm a 67 year old woman with many regrets, and no time to change, all I can do is ask God for forgiveness.
