We’ve just come across your channel while, looking at places to possibly visit in Thailand. We have been many years ago and want to return. We want somewhere that’s a bit quieter but obviously do need something going on. Koh Lanta looks perfect. How did you get there? Did you come from Bangkok? Thanks
We got to Koh Lanta by ferry from Koh phi phi then went on to Koh Life which approx 3-4 ferry again, take a look at our Koh Mook, vlog its a quieter island, but we like it
Morning Guys, we follow you two and have watched all the videos for our next trip to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. I have a question for you.. we are hoping to hire a moped to get around Ko Lanta as you did. Hubby has a bike licence, do we just need to get an international driving permit from the post office. How does the insurance work, do we have to have our own bike insurance or do you pay them for insurance? Sorry for all the questions! (We are also Motorhomers and love your trips) x
Hello to both of you.... When we went, we had our driving licenses from the UK, and our passports for them to see we were qualified drivers, everything else is taken care of. We only needed to apply for a special license when we were in Sri Lanka and had to learn to drive the tuktuk. When we went to Thailand they just wanted valid passport and driving licenses. This was 3 years ago and I don't think the laws have changed. Hope this helps, have an amazing time.
Thailand has the highest death toll on the roads in the world, Lanta is reasonably safe, but you’ve always got to keep your wits about you, i have a house in Klong Nin, I’m from the UK.
We only hired a moped for one day in koh lanta….. and a car for 3 days to drive to khoa Sok from Krabi. But we didn’t feel brave enough to do more. We will have to look up Klong Nin, how lovely to live in such a country. We will definitely be back to explore more.
Our passport and documents were checked when hiring the motorcycle but the Police didn't check us, although it's good to have copies on your phone when you are out on the moped
Thanks again guys enjoying watching your
Travels
Fantastic film, looked great views and enjoyed your bike trip. Take care guys.
Thanks, and for watching too, it was a quieter island but we are glad we had the chance to explore it.
