It's Great to know that seal kits are available to rebuild these ! I'm envious of your power steering ! Mine unfortunately was a Manuel steering car. At 70 years old , and having some shoulder problems , power steering would would be Great ! Hopefully one day I can find a carcus that I can grab a complete power steering set up off of for mine. Keep those video's coming , GREAT CONTENT , Excellently Prosented !
Your video was very good and helpful. I got my seals out....but my shaft was pretty deeply worn/corroded... so I will probably have to buy 😖.... unless there is a way to replace the rod... but it seems welded in. Appreciate your time making this video.
I am sorry to hear about that. With that many years I guess that's the chance we take. I thank you for watching and good luck on the rest of your project. 👍🏽
@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 Yes, that's for a rack and pinion. This is just a hydronic cyclinder. 2 lines going in, is there equal pressure going into it to fill it, then increase on the front or back as you turn.
Very nice job!
The way Dairle laughs when a seal or a spacer pops out, pure gold. I'm subscribing !
Thank you! 😁
Great video, simple to follow and complete the rebuild, thanks!
Keep up the great work. Very helpful videos. Slowly getting my 64 Galaxie 500 back to life.

what size snap ring pilers did you use? One tool I do not have.
I have changed rack and pinion but not one of these.
So when you remount it and hook up the lines, do they center them selves or is a trick to it.
@Herman-b4q That's a good question. I like to measure or count the threads. Either way it seems like it pretty much center itself.

I'm tackling a 69 cyclone gt this winter.never seen one like this.
Love the video. I would like to know if you use power steering fluid or transmission fluid.
