@@pasttenseofdraw5791 yeah I’m taking advantage of the short wipe to chill on it a bit. I’m on wipe 6 or 7 and took a break a couple of wipes ago to play some other stuff. Love tarkov but it’s really time consuming lol
Abuse this gun right now I'm telling you. Its the poor mans SR-25. 41 pen on lps which is good enough for a 2 tap for quite a while.
I picked up a SVT-40 less than a year ago, it was one of my bucket list guns. I like how most people think that all Soviet weapons are simple and easy to maintain. Tokarev was not present at that meeting where those rules were established. It was a little challenging getting the rifle to run properly but once I learned all of its quirks, it runs like a champ now. It's also long as shit. 5 inches longer than a M1 Garand, which is pretty long. Most of that length comes from the extra long receiver. Very efficient design Tokarev.
i like the SVT40 because it's like the G41 but good and the G43 but not German
or i guess the G43 is like the SVT40 cause they had to copy parts of the action to get it to work
@@nade7242 The G43 is overall better than the SVT-40 but the SVT-40 looks much better in my opinion and noncorrosive ammo is way cheaper for it. The barrels are very thin on the SVT to reduce weight, this means that it doesn't take very long for the barrel to get hot and when it does you start stringing shots. I like the shorter and thicker barrel of the G43. SVT-40 mags also need to be fitted to the rifle, where G43 mags have a better locking design and don't require fitting (as long as you buy mags from the 40s).

I traded my Glock Gen 5 and a 57 for one of these four years ago, I couldn’t be happier with the trade. It’s definitely my favorite surplus rifle. It hardly has any recoil when I shoot it. Unfortunately, my area of Louisiana doesn’t offer wifi that can run Tarkov. In the meantime, I’m happy with you annihilating

My friends grandpa has a svt-40 that was captured from russians during the winter war. I dont know when it was last fired but it is in mint condition 👌
And i emphasize captured, not stolen because the russian themselfs wanted to bring them over here :|

@@teabulls That i dont know lol, i managed to hit the target reliable at 500m with the iron sight of the svt40, that was my first time using it. Make of that what you will.
The recoil was pretty manageable.
@@teabulls according to my dad, the gun does jam easily when dirty. and the gas needs to be well adjusted for it to repeat right

Guns actually insane it's lower recoil than a meta SVD

Tips to improve directional audio? Tried Binural and 7.1 through hyper x app on/off. None of it helps.
don't use virtual 7.1, it's garbage. use binural in tarkov and you'll get used to it. only difficult thing is above vs below, for that you just need map knowledge

I one shot a level 35 with the SVT-40, I literally picked it up off a scav and blasted him with it as he came up the stairs. Lets just say I was surprised and he was NOT happy.
Him being a level 35 already is genuinely insane lmao, talk about Eat, Sleep, Tarkov
That is the beauty of Tarkov, you always have to respect these possibilities and be humbled by unassuming weapons

7.62x54 in close quarters is not a force to be reckoned with, atleast irl
While x54 guns are typically pretty heavy, and discounting lmgs, low capacity, getting hit by any of those rounds will probably Crack a rib and make you stumble, if you don't have good padding to disperse the energy on your body armor
If it pens, well, I'm sure the field surgeon will have a tough time if you live

Svt40s from what I've seen shoot pretty good so long as they've been taken care of. Not may were mad and few were treated like the Mosins, so they are in better shape than many surp rifles I've seen. I don't own one as they became crazy expensive before I was even 18, but I've seen a few on surp racks at shops and they are usually among the much nicer looking rifles on surp racks. Also, from what I've heard from buddies that shoot them, they are definitely capable of good accuracy.
Gotta add the g43 and m1 garand now
svt is 100% getting nerfed, it's cheap af and has less recoil than a 300k svd shooting the same caliber which is the best in terms of pen/dmg in the whole game atm
