How To Grow Rose From Seeds

Rose's Are Beautiful Flowering Plants. Flowers Are Available In Many Different Types And Colors. It's Different Color Petals Adds Beauty In The Garden As Well As Invites Many Beneficial Insect, Bugs And Butterflies. Some Roses Petals Use In Cooking As Well As In Making Beauty Products, Making Perfumes Etc. Rose Can Be Propagate Through Seeds Or Cuttings Or Air Layering. You Can Creat Your Own Hybrid With Hand Pollination Or You Can Harvest Rosehips Which Already Available On Plant's. Rose's Are Self Pollinate So Hand Pollination Not Necessary But If You Wants To Make New Variety You Can Cross Pollinate Two Different Rose's. Rose's Can Be Naturally Cross Pollinate By Bees Or Butterflies Or Wind.
How To Grow Rose From Seeds:-
1. Harvest Rosehips From Rose Tree Or Plant Which Are Fully Riped. Fully Riped Rose Hip Color Will Be Yellow, Red Or Purple Depends Upon The Variety. Do Not Harvest Immature Green Rosehips Or Dry Rosehips.
2. Sterilize Tools Well With Hydrogen peroxide. Cut Rose Hip And Extract Seeds From It.
3. Wash Seeds Well With Water And Remove Pulps With Nails Or Cutter From Seeds Carefully Without Damaging The Seeds.
4. Soak Seeds In One Cup Water For 12 Hour's. Add Tea Spoon Hydrogen peroxide In One Cup Water.
5. After 12 Hour's Strain Water And Keep Seeds On Tissue Paper (Keep Tissue Paper In Box) And Moist Tissue Paper With Water. Use Double Folded Tissue Paper. Keep Box In Refrigerator Untill Outside Weather Is Cool And Tempreture Goes Below 25 Degree Celsius (Nov Dec Month In India).
6. For Seeds Sowing Use One Part Cocopeat, Half Part Sand, Half Part Vermi Compost And Tea Spoon Fungicide Powder. Sieve And Sundry Mix Well Before Use.
7. Pot Size Choose According To Quantity Of Seeds. Make Sure Pot Have Drainage Holes And Cover Drainage Holes With Broken Pieces Of Clay Pots.
8. Fill Pot With Above Mix. Keep Some Gap On Top For Watering And Seeds Sowing.
9. Moist Mix With Water And Keep Seeds On Mix. Keep Some Gap Between Each Seeds.
10. Cover Seeds Lightly With Same Mix. Give Water Again And Keep Pot In Full Sunlight.
11. Your Seeds Will Take One Month To Three Months For Germination. Some Seeds Germinate Early And Some Takes Time.
12. After Five Seven True Leaves You Can Separate And Repot Seedlings In Six Inch Size Pot Or You Can Plant Five Seedlings In Ten Inch Size Pot And You Can Repot Them Again In Next Season.
13. For Transplanting Use One Part Soil, Half Part Sand, Half Part Vermi Compost, Half Part Cocopeat, One Handful Neem Khal, Tea Spoon Bone Meal. You Can Add One Handful Rice Husk (Optional)
14. Cover Drainage Holes And Fill Pot With Above Mix. Keep One Or Two Inch Gap On Top For Watering. Dig Small Hole And Plant Roots In It. Cover Roots Properly With Soil. Roots Should Not Be Visible. Give Water And Keep Pot In Shade For One Or Two Day's Then Keep Pot In Sunlight But If Sunlight Is Harsh Or Summer Arrived Use Green Net.
15.Prune And Fertilize Plants With One Handful Vermi Compost And Tea Spoon Bone Meal In It's Growing Season.
16. Check Insects And Pest Attack Daily. Invite Lady Bugs In Your Garden To Safe Your Rose Plants From Aphids. To Invite Them Add Various Flowering Plants Like Marigold In Your Garden. You Can Also Use Garlic Chilli Spray.
17. Keep Fungicide Powder In Your Home. Rose Plants Mainly Die Due To Fungal Infection Or Die Back. Apply Fungicide Powder Monthly Once To Save Rose From Fungal And Die Back Diseases. Add Tea Spoon Fungicide Powder In One Liter Water And Spray On Plants Monthly Once.
Note:- Rose Seedlings Starts Flowering After Four Five True Leaves. You Should Remove Flowers At First Year So Plants Can Focus It's Energy On It's Growth. Seeds Grown Rose Plants Have Beautiful Trunk. You Can Make Rose Bonsai With Rose Seedlings.
