@Kritz_Reads omg I highly recommend Imossible Creatures it's one of my biggest surprises of the year. I still need to read The Reformatary your review had me intrigued too 😀
Great list! Tender is The Flesh was an interesting read for me. Yes it was disturbing, but after reading a number of extreme horror novels and the cold, detatched narrative style, I was not moved as perhaps I ought to have been. The body horror in The Hellbound Heart is certainly next level! Personally, I found the body horror in The Troop a bit repetitive. My Throat An Open Grave sounds very interesting!
I hadn't heard of Impossible Creatures, but you have me intrigued! Great list of faves so far! I think the Reformatory is still at the top of mine

House of Hunger! YES! One of my favorites, too. I've added several others to my TBR after hearing your thoughts on them. Great video!

Whalefall is so good! Grief horror at its finest.
Completely 🎉 it was great, grief horror is becoming a favourite subgenre for me. What's been your favourite read of 2024 so far Lauren? 😊
