is possible to upgrade the display to a 17.3 inch one? Including the display cage ofc, and i don't care if the display will end up bigger than the laptop's boddy after. Thank you!
Still dont get why to open the all thing when you can just do it from the screen itself waste of time
why was it necessary to take the body compartment out? why not just the old broken screen?
Personally I replaced the screen and not only does it not work, the external monitor I had it hooked to no longer works.. so I'm assuming I pulled a cable too hard and now I'll have to open it up as shown here to reattach the other end of the ribbon. ..at least I hope that's the issue

hey i know this is an older video but i was wondering if i could replace my screen with a 144hz screen from a 15.6" legion laptop? they have the same connection type afaik(40pin) and i was just wondering if it could work or do i need to get a screen specifically for the y510p?
how my task manager (Y510P) shows 4 slots and 2 in use when there are only 2 slots on the board. did i miss any slot? Also can I go higher than 16GB RAM?

it should be possible, the GT 750M can totally work with 1920x1080, although I'm pretty sure it won't support 4k
No, the Motherboard is different for the laptops with the 1080 screens. I know this is an old comment, but it may help others.

if you want to replace only screen start from the part when he opens screen cover ... Then you got several screws on top, bottom and sides of the screen... Unplug connector on the back.
