If you wish to just clean the fan, on the initial back removal, there are three very tiny screws holding in the fan itself. unscrewing those three tiny screws and unplugging the fan from the motherboard, you could completely remove the fan for cleaning.

My fan was making noise. After you undo the 3 tiny screws and 'open' the fan up, you can easily remove the fan blades and clean in and around the magnet and coils.

Wicked! Followed your help and.managed to deep clean it and I only missed one screw at the end!
I appreciate your time & your excellent work, but you need to add audio dialogue or just CC. Voice dialogue explaining the details of exactly where the screws are, what size are they, how important it is to separate them and give some idea for example put all the motherboard screws into a sandwich size baggie, etc. as you remove them. I am not needlessly criticizing the video, but I am trying to point out how to make a very, very good video into, perhaps the best one or certainly one of them, on RUclips.
Nice. I love you guys. My pc was overheating constantly before. After i put on some new mx4 temps are like 70° instead of 90 on my gpu. It worked great and thanks for the tutorial. But the part where u took the keyboard off couldve been shown a lil better. I took off the cover on between the keycaps, bc i didnt see how u did it, but it still worked at the end 😁👍

It took literally 5 minutes to just watch him separate the top frame from the chassis (10:40 to 15:40). Five minutes of fumbling around! That part should have been editied out or shortened.

Well...I have this computer. It's my brother's actually and he's let the dust collect inside of it so now my fan is making that sound. But I am unable to remove the side vent to get access to the screws. It is stuck! How did you remove yours so easily?

Hallo ich hab eine Frage und zwar hab ich mir einen gebrauchten Lenovo Y510P gekauft . wenn ich damit spiele oä wird nur einseitig gekühlt der zweite kühler den man im cd laufwerk drinnen hat leuft garnicht .

А вот! Может в курсе...? В этом ноуте есть программа для очистки пыли. Она разгоняет куллеры на максимум. Можно как то сделать этот разгон постоянным? Иногда когда играю и начинает дико лагать врубаю очистку пыли и лаги проходят... Но врубить её приходится раз 10. И потом всё равно начинает тупить. Пробовал устанавливать SpeedFan не работает.
честно говоря не уверен на счет существования такой версии программы, сам по крайней мере не встречал

Нет. Режимом очистки делает сам Embedded Controller (EC), напрямую вентиляторы не управляются. На англоязычном форуме это уже обсуждалось. Самое лучшее, что сделали это разрезали кабель на вентилятор и закоротили его физической кнопкой, чтобы всегда вращался. Хорошей идеей было бы подключить этот вентилятор через esp8266, тогда им действительно можно было бы рулить как хочешь.
Если все ещё актуально, есть прога ideafan, запускает очищение пыли по определенному градусу проца/видяхи автоматом, а так же есть ручной режим включения

+How-FixIT Раз ответил, то спрошу. У меня Lenovo Y500. Начал дребезжать кулер слева. Тихонько так дребезжит. Без нагрузки, просто старт Windows и запуск Google Chrome. Стоит лезть внутрь и чистить кулер?
rusTORKну возможно чистка поможет, просто если набралось много пыли и она нарушает ось вращения вентилятора, то ось расшатывается, и со временем куллер надо будет заменить. А возможно причина нарушения оси вращения не связана с накопленной пылью, но почистить всяко стоит.

I read the lenovo forum and this particular laptop don't allow to install w10 for example. Something to do with the boot menu. Way way way too much thermal paste! Holy Jesus! Spend a little more time cleaning up the processors. Get all that annoying old goo off, then use rubbing alcohol, then put the thermal paste on. Other than that. Looks good.

I try this on my laptop and now doesn’t power on, sometimes the power button blinked and cooling fan turns but display stay black, keypad does the same thing. Please help me
it was all fine and dandy until i assembled it back up and forgot which screws went into which so now the speakers dont work and my mouse sometimes glitches, but its fine i wanted to try this cause im switching to a PC anyway.

I like to place the screws on top of pieces of printer paper in the position that I removed them from the laptop. You can even draw a basic diagram and write how the computer was positioned when you removed the screws. You can do it for various stages of the disassembly process, you'll have an easy time. I like to have one piece of paper for the initial set of screws from the back cover. Then another on the inside, and another still for the screws near the motherboard.

Я весь испсиховался пока разбирал. Собрал... трещит куллер... Ну... не трещит... очень сильно шумит. И по ходу куда то вкрутил не тот болт хД Видимо вместо 2х4 куда то вхерачил 2,5х10... Не хочу опять разбирать. Пока пашет... А куллер и раньше шумел... Правда само собой прошло и щас опять...

nevermind i did opened the fan without removing the whole motherboard my laptop is lenovo y410p
the fan has some buzzing sound so i did some research and found out that i need to lubricate the fan
i just removed the three small screws from the fan and disconnect the fan connector and then opened the fan and im so happy
i cleaned the fan and put some oil (just search on yt how to lubricate laptop fan) and after putting it all together i opened my laptop and hoping it gonna work and it worked im so happy!
theres no more buzzing sounds and vibrations on the keyboard

One gpu you pullout with ultrabay the other one is on motherboard that can't be pullout. You put thermal paste on cpu and on gpu when you remove cooler.
зачем ТАКИЕ сложности?? Достаточно снять нижнюю крышку, снять кожух с кулера (три тонких шурупа), прочистить пыль и собрать назад! На 3 минуты дел..
Видно что чистит ноут не свой, а то бы сделал бы все качественней и аккуратней и термопаста была бы получше.

Just detaching the keyboard, it requires nothing special, on top and on sides it have some kind of fixators, you just need to apply a little of force to detach them, just do it gently to not damage them or the keyboard.

Хреновый ноут на разбор!
Ноутбук говно. Хотел купить на то время g52, но продавец развёл меня на это говно.
Помимо того, что стёрлась вся клавиатура, у меня дико дребезжит ёбаный кулер. Сдавал его в сервис через 3 года для очистки и замены термопасты.
Короче, больше никогда не куплю всё, что связано с леново. НИКОГДА.
