I love how each piece represents either Eusebius or Florestan, the dialogue between them, the contrasts...
очень люблю этого пианиста
Florestan and Eusebius have taken me to their dreamland once again...
Beautiful! Schumann is simply wonderful!
I had forgotten how 'unsettled' Fantasiestücke can sound. Parts remind me of Scriabin. I forget that when I just think of Des Abends or Warum? (probably my favourite pieces).
which parts sound Scriabin-y to you?
Belissimo!!!
Parabéns!!!
ETERNA gratidão...
Beautifully sublime!
20:17 blues in the romantic period
Cziffra a sensational virtuoso? Yes he was, but he was much more than that as can be heard here in this beautiful and poetic account of Schumann'S lovely work.
I’m learning Aufschwung, super cool piece. Tricky tho.
The Main melody of No. 2 reminds me of chopin 28 No 18. Anyone Else?
Yes

yup
No
Imagine playing it like this now days..... You'll be kickt out of the conservatory.
Why?
@@firephilosopher7645 Its a very unconventional interpretation.
@@WalyB01 Hmm, I suppose it is in some movements, but can't imagine getting kicked out of any conservatory for it.
@@firephilosopher7645 haha no, imaging kicking Cziffra out your conservatory. Arguably one of the best Liszt interpretators. My point is that these type of choices are actively discouraged in modern interpretation at most conservatories. Wild tempo changes, over pronounced accentuations, no legato legato's, extreme rubato's, very short staccato's(although this might be recording artefacts), the large sudden dynamics changes. The exciting stuff
@@WalyB01 each musician has its own style, i think conservatories should encourage that variety

12:41 is too rushed!
