    Love this video, the conversation with your grandmother was so sweet! I’m also trying to learn dari to communicate with family, but like you said, there’s not many resources. I’m going to give Pimsleur a try! Thank you for sharing :)

      Thank you! 🥰❤️. Lemme know what you think of the course and how it goes! My mom is still teaching me a little bit each day. So, you can use your fam as a resource, as I am sure you know :). Good luck!

      Thank you! :) I think it’s a tough language to learn bc there’s not a lot of resources, unfortunately, and when I talk with my mom, she uses different words for things and uses very casual words. What resources are you using?

      Thanks for the Rec. I just downloaded the app. There are some words that are part of the free lessons that I didn’t know. So, thank you!

      Yea, I’ve heard Farsi, and to me, it sounds different compared to Dari.

    amazing, you can speak very well Farsi language. In what languages do they use Farsi language?

    • @LivingListed
      @LivingListed  2 года назад

      Thank you :). I'm not sure what you mean by the question.
      If you're asking what other languages are influenced by Farsi, according to a Google search (haha :) ), "Persian has likewise influenced the vocabularies of other languages, especially Arabic, Armenian, Georgian, Indo-Iranian languages and Turkic languages."
      If you mean what other countries is Farsi spoken, it's spoken in Iran. It is also spoken in Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan (my parents are from Pakistan).
      I didn't know this until I made this video, but the term, Dari, is actually offensive to people who speak that "accent"/dialect of Farsi.
      People who speak it "Dari" Farsi--in my limited experience of this language/culture--just refer to "Dari" as Farsi. I kept on calling the language "Dari," when I was talking to my grandmother in later conversations, and she was like, "what are you talking about? What is Dari? I speak Farsi." So, I'm very sorry about calling it Dari and for being offensive, if anyone else sees this.
      I'm still learning about this language and culture. So, I'm sorry to anyone if I'm being offensive, and to anyone who's reading this who knows better, please feel free to correct me here :)
