yes it works. You see those numbers in the video at the lower left? If you have Google Earth, you can type in the coordinates and get a highly detailed map of the exact location I am at during that point in the video. The numbers starting with N and V.
@Paul...Something just occurred to me which I am sure is not novel. But should Haiti ever improve her infrastructure, if only slightly, as that would be an improvement over what we see, do you think that a railroad across the nation, connecting Petionville to Labadee, would spur tourism? The train? Years ago while studying in the east of the US, I took a temporary job guarding the turbo train, with no more than five carriages, all articulated, which became successful in Canada. Not so in the US. But my point is that two of the trains running opposite one another could provide jobs and at the same time lighten the air traffic over Haiti. But the first consideration would be to provide views pleasant to tourists. I think the project would be doable. And with someone of your mobility and obvious business acumen, not to mention your excellent video, I think this is something that would help generate income without resorting to loans which carry severe interest rates. Quoi pensez vous de cette idee? Vous avez de la chance?
Paul, I noticed the streets are lined with walls. Is there a reason for this? No traffic signals at intersections and no street signs? What do you like most about Haiti and why Petionville?
HI, GPS just tells you exactly where you are on this earth. It does not have anything to do with streets. A Garmin GPS you would see in a car to give a driver directions would need a built in map of Haiti streets, I don't think there is one for Haiti. For this video I was using a DashCam that had built in GPS.
petion ville oh I was of the opinion that you were using one with built in street maps and voice commands etc. I planning a first time trip and trying to figure out how I will be getting around. Is it difficult to navigate? I will be in Petionville but will want to visit Jacmel, Labadee and as much as I can squeeze in in 7 days.
It's probably one direction or the other, and Jacmel might be your best bet. It's got the ocean, mountains, and stuff. I know someone who has been to Gonaives and it takes five hours to get there from Port-au-Prince. From what I think, it might be an all-day drive to Cap Haitian and Labadee on Haiti streets since the infrastructure is a lot different. But it's your choice.
Paul Dembowski Maybe you should look at the Video you posted before this one and compare VIEWERS liked the other one more . I always hated RAIN in HAITI Lots of our Our Roads are not PAVED and SUNSHINE reminds you that you re in the Caribbean . not the BLEAKY weather
@Paul...Rainy days never bothered me. On the contrary, they're very much part of Mother Nature's narrative, aren't they? Where would we be without rainy days? Continue with you most interesting work. I envy your mobility.

@@ccaammiinniiito2 In the past, Haiti had a pretty extensive rail network including freight and passenger trains.
Paul, I noticed the streets are lined with walls. Is there a reason for this? No traffic signals at intersections and no street signs? What do you like most about Haiti and why Petionville?
