I always thought they sounded harsh but didn't know why until I saw the new graph. Mine died after getting moisture build up. The filters are made of nylon and don't like humid environment at all.
I think it's cool that vtubers are also audiophiles. Keep up the good work! ( Also, I used to own some Moondroop Chu's which are also pretty good for a similar price. )
I got my Zero 2 and I think it's the second best tuned IEM in the sub 100 dollar category, only surpassed by the truthear red with bass adapter, loved it, but as usual with 20usd iems the cable and tips are really meh
Hi Salad, Tangzu Waner or Zero 2, which one sound better, I’m struggling to choose one for myself, your channel are so cool btw, love it 👍 Oh and my main source are iPhone with apple dongle hehe .
I think Zero 2 is tuned better, but I prefer the fit and finish of the Wan,er. Zero 2 would probably be better overall if you also invest in some different cables that are less stiff and feel better, and also some different tips that don’t fall out of your ear as easily
maybe i got lucky with mine, or i have a high tolerance to treble, but I found the zero 1 to be practically a perfect neutral for me. The zero 2 seems to be completely dull in the air region on the 4620 graph, which seems kinda like a fairly large flaw for me, does it sound like that irl? (also missing 02 on zero 2 is a massive flaw im glad you pointed that out)
I agree they do sound a little dull in the air region. I made a passing comment in the video that I would like a little more upper treble, but as well, they could have reduced the sub bass a bit, which might help as well.
@@sidesaladaudio one of things i loved about the original zero 1 and also the moondrop Lan was the way they did the air region. Some of the few 1DD iems that I found had a nice air region which sounded really pleasing to my ears, the lan being really smooth and the zero having a single peak that was just small enough that it isnt piercing but added something extra to the music relative to other sub 50 dollars 1DD. probably gonna skip the zero 2 then considering its just going in the complete opposite direction to my taste.
I'd say the salnotes l is softer sound but overall the dcmeka AO9 beats it in my opinion but I can see the 7Hz 2 being ok depending on the amp as i've only used an LG V50 for sound
I'd agree cause Zero:2 sounds a bit muddy and congested now. They should've only reduced the treble and retained the bass since reducing the upper freq emphasizes the lower freq. Doing both made the bass sound pillowy and less tight. Plus there's more masking to female vocals now cuz of the added mid bass. I still enjoy listening to the wan'er and tanchjim one more over the zero:2
my first thought is "hmm it's tuned very similar to hola but with worse comfort, less accessories and more expensive, I doubt it would be able to replace hola" and then truthear hola is discontinued coincidence?
Feels like due to the market moving so quickly iems are discontinued left right and center. Probably updating the hola to match the new wave of truthear releases. We had zero(collab), hola (budget) and hexa (midrange) for the first wave. Perhaps now it would be red (collab), nova (midrange) and another budget set.
Needz moar cartoon child!
lol
-- Go back to 4chan. You probably say rude crap to Furries too, I bet. Furries can be Audiophiles too.
Great review! They look like a great starter iem 😄
Thanks! And yeah, they are definitely a safe buy for any beginner
Every iem needs a waifu. Let the boomers weep
I saw the joke coming and I still thought it was funny

The biggest issue for general recommendation is nozzle size. Everything over 5.8mm should be a no-no.

I heard complain that Zero:2 should only fix the treble or only add 1db more bass, and not both.

I agree, I'm glad that the treble is improved, but I think they could have lowered the sub bass a bit

coincidence?
I was suprised that Hola was discontinued. It was a very well rounded package for the price.

It's tuned better than the hola
Which one would you prefer between Truthear hola and 7hz zero 2 and why ?
Hola had better accessories and comfort, but I think the Zero 2 sounds better. Unfortunately Hola seems to be discontinued now
@@sidesaladaudio Hola is still in stock but i will buy Zero 2 cuz my first priority is sound.
Thanks btw subed !
i need your top ultra budget iems this month, im planning on buying one but im still not sure what to get
Edx lite. Shi is the same price as a big mac and sounds ok after eq
Seems like foam tips are better compare to other tips for iems for a perfect fit for any one.
real
Preference: wan er or 7hz zero 2
Stock: Wan'er. But with the cable and tip upgrades, than Zero 2 edges it out in my opinion
