Seems like 7hz followed how moondrop does to the Chu. But for the zero 2, looks like it still keeps the overall neutral style of zero with some bass. Very interesting and reminds me of the EW100P. Great Review btw 🙌🙌
I really hope that their fit and comfort will be just as good as the originals. Out of all the chifi IEMs the Zero's are the only ones that consistently seal in both my ears and don't hurt after long listening sessions. Sound wise I loved my Sony MH755's and from looking at the graphs the Zero:2 is pretty much the same as them. Since the MH755's are so hard to find nowadays, have really bad cable microphonics even when recabled, and don't consistently seal in both my ears, having something that fits just like the original Zeroes with the MH755 tuning would be my dream pair. I was also hoping they'd be up for pre-order during the Linsoul Black Friday sale but that's not the case. I can't wait till I can get my hands on these!
I'm really excited for these, they originals fit perfectly into the BT20XS case and are easy enough to drive at a decent volume. My only complaints were that they could do with a few dBs of bass and were a tiny bit sibilant, the Zero:2 looks to provide exactly what I want
Yep! Using them as my primary earbuds for everything and I totally agree. I think the bass is a tad weak (when making music, I notice that I usually feel comfortable with the bass when it's at +4 dB), and I definitely agree with you about the sibilance being harsh. I remember calling friends on discord (they didn't have pop filters) so it hurt my ears haha I'm a pretty noob when it comes to this stuff but I vibe with it, and I think $20 is super cheap
Does the salnotes zero 2 comes with mic? The 3.5mm version... does it have mic??? If not can i buy the salnotes zero 1 replacement cable with mic and use it in salnotes zero 2? Pls help... already ordered... pls reply
The graph look identical with the original one but I don't have any problem with the sound, the only problem I have it's just need 1db more bass which can easily fix with EQ. I guess if it's not broken don't fix it, at least not alter it too much.
currently have this dilemma and want to upgrade from my KZ ZSN Pro X, and also interested getting Salnotes Zero 2 or Moondrop Chu II.. still cant decide but leaning towards this Zero 2, also have my fav color orange.
Slightly better but the neutral signature of the original Zero makes details a little more obvious. The newer (Zero:2) natural-warm has an edge but isn't as obvious.
Okay, seems to be more of a tonality "upgrade" then, which is appreciated but i am looking for more details with a slightly warmer signature than the OG zeros. What you can get for $25 is truly amazing though, i got back into the iem game after a few years and it is amazing!
@@andr192 Really though if you want greater resolution, you still have to move up the ladder. Perhaps look at things like the Truthear Nova or Simgot EA1000! But for the price with a slight bump in resolution and newer tonal colour, I'd call this a win.
I have both versions. If you want a solid, bassy sound don’t buy these. The 2nd version has a tiny bit more bass but it’s basically the same as the first one. There are much better alternatives around for the same money.
Looks like I will get this soon lol, I like the OG ones for music but I find them lacking sub bass for movies so these would be perfect for that use case.

Its a very different take on the Zero from the original. So if you are not a fan of the original do give this a try! It still has the resolution but in a different signature class.
definitely zero 2 is better cuz it dont has a lot of peaks that makes some frequencies stand out more than others and also this has more bass but also the treble is there but less distracting so it will be very good for valorant and such games
"Does the 02 have too much bass? I'm looking for something 'neutral' but slightly warm, with neutrality being the main focus. Will it be a good choice?"
Neutral and warm are 2 ends of a spectrum. I found that the Zero 2 sits kinda in the middle of that while the original zero leans to neutral a bit more. The Zero 2 has a friendlier signature that more people can accept.

@@hello_2221 8:54 He literally mentioned in the video that it's $25... It's not yet available to the public but these reviewers with early access know.
@@roundabout9452 Even then that's not really a big difference, maybe if it was 10 dollars I would shy away from it but 5 dollars really isn't much. Also, on Amazon at least, at some point they raised the price of the original zeroes from $20 to $23 but then basically perpetually gave it a coupon for a discount that brought it right back down to $20. Would not be surprised if they ended up doing the same to the Zero:2s. Also, regarding EQ, I am definitely not against it, but (at least for me personally) I have situations where I cannot use it, since I switch between many different devices, and some of them don't support EQ. Neither do I want to go through the hassle of setting it up on a bunch of devices. Definitely can respect your decision not to get them since you can just EQ to them, but for me, since the tuning basically gives exactly what I felt was missing from the original zeroes, I think I will get them.
I also wish they'd made changes to the build, but otherwise it's a really nice upgrade. They changed a driver for an improved version, which is evident in lower measured distortion (stunningly low regardless of the price) and a significantly decreased the ~10 dB resonance peak in the treble around 12 kHz, which you can't properly get rid of with EQ (you can easily make the sound significantly worse instead) since it shifts depending on the insertion depth and seal. It's as good as it could get for this price.
