      My old coach also use you laugh at me.. I was under a very traditional GJJ coach. Also use to have chuckle, asking me if I have watching Eddie again. He never minded, he would often ask me to try do it to him so he could see if he could defend against moves he has never seen before. He always managed to get out, even if he let me have something locked in deep. I think he was trying to prove a point. I loved playing with both styles though. I did manage to use some 10th planet moves effectively against the students at my level though.

    Wow I remember when we were kids, around 12 or 13 YO, my brother and I were friends with Geo and we would hang out at the B&G Club in San Marcos. He was the best break dancer there, better than dudes that were like 5 years older than him. I couldn't dance for shit but I would watch all the battles there and was impressed by their abilities. It's great to see him doing good so many years later. I wouldn't have thought he was capable of growing that beard back then lol.

    I take back my comment ripping on this guy;'s hipster BJJ. Check out Geo Martinez vs. Jeff Glover. Geo used a slam in ADCC and pretty much KO'ed Glover for a few seconds. INstead of capitalizing, he was almost checking to see if Glover was OK and went for a guard pass.
    Geo - you have gained a fan for life. A true gentleman and sportsman. Best of luck

    • @Merrick
      @Merrick 4 года назад

      he gave Jeff every opportunity to not get slammed, the second time he had him up it was like "damn, guess I have to" and then gave him time to recover on the mat.
      And then there are the Mat Lindlands of the world

    Man I hope Eddie just did this on Rolyer, but he did 100% to the back, I think it's fine but Royler manage to get to his knees so fast before he was able to get the back, going to the truck is really the best way from 100%.
    I'm talking about metamoris 3, eddie vs royler, 10p fans I know you know what I'm talking about.

    • @88unstopable
      @88unstopable 9 лет назад +2

      He did go to the truck. That's how Bravo almost made Rolyer tapp to a vaporizer. Search it. Eddie goes from the Truck position to trapping a leg and pulling an ankle. That was an awesome match also! Royler is a legend. Eddie is making his mark on jiu-jitsu for sure

    • @jettro5237
      @jettro5237 9 лет назад +10

    • @odinzraider591
      @odinzraider591 8 лет назад

      He would have to pass with a near side leg first. That crank is preventing him from using a far side knee pass. So you'd be briefly in half guard. So just hit that sweep with your inside leg.
