    The wonderful thing about Bruce
Lee was that he trained anybody he felt was worth training, regardless of color, race, or gender. Some Chinese officials had warned him against training Blacks and Whites, but he basically, in his own way, flipped them off and told them what to go do with themselves. He was a great admirer of Muhammad Ali, especially his fighting style. When a reporter once asked Lee if he could take Ali in a fight, Lee said that Ali could easily beat him strength for strength and that he would never challenge Ali in the ring out of respect and for his own health (Lol). In fact, if you look at Jeet Kun Do, Lee's original style that he crafted himself, check out the footwork - he got that from Ali's famous foot shuffle.

Lee was in total control in the sparring matches. He maintained his balance, never lunged unless he maintained balance. This film is probably 30 frames per second. Maybe faster. But my point is, the frame rate is too slow. The frame rate missed a lot of the strikes, parries, footwork, etc. Now if we filmed it today at 120p (120 frames per second) or more, we would have had even more valuable footage. But this is all we have and it must be archived for all times.

I boxed for 15 years. One of the first advanced techniques I learned was how to set opponents up for counter punches. The idea was to get just in range enough where you could instantly get out of range without overextended and putting yourself in a position where you’re off balance and can’t counter attack. Bruce shows this off perfectly. Bruce was always at a safe distance but also just close enough to have time to react to his opponent.

Bruce Lee had it all, the perfect bodily proportions for a gungfu fighter. The perfect reflexes and neurological “ ability “ that allowed his repetitive practice of hitting and kicking to become part of his muscle memory. The ability to develop an automatic response to hour upon hour of “ sensitivity “ training. The intelligence necessary to develop an effective training routine and the ingenuity to create new and effective training equipment. He was blessed with extraordinary strength that he further developed with resistance training when at the time most athletes disregarded strength training for fear of becoming “ muscle bound “ or unable to move due to excessive muscle.
The courage to seek his own way, to leave conformity behind and create his own style, his own gungfu.

Opposite to fast destructive waters that create disaster and devastation. They are strong but don't hold that strength for a long time. Hence: "Quiet waters cut the shores". Be patient, be disciplined and have consistency. Persistence and perseverance pays off. Keep working on yourself, to get strong in mind and body. In the end you are not strong to just physically fight but you are gaining life skill of endurance that will last.

Those who don't know him can only condemn him and doubt his capabilities. He was trained by Master Yip Man to acquire his martial art skills during his teenage years. Later on he began to develop his own technique, the intercepting fist Jeet Kune Do. In his early 20s, he established martial art centre in US before he moved on to pursue his career in movie industry. He even demonstrated at Long Beach tournament. His performance there got the attention of a producer and later offer him the role in Hornet. He wasn't famous yet during that time. His fame came after his release of the movie Big Boss and Fist of Fury. Most people know him as only actor and deny his capabilities in martial arts. His supernatural ability in martial arts even received recognition from several martial artist masters, with one of them being Dan Inosanto.
