I reccomend using Toothpicks for the perfect circular Black Dots. And it's unrelated but they might also work to paint Sculpted in Spider-Webs or possibly paint them on a black body. It worked for me when I painted Raised Webs on my Raimi Figure.
Why was the original not this way? It's so much better! I've never seen any art with his pupils so large so I don't understand what they were going for. It just looks hilarious on the original.
I like the eyes on mine, it's so crazy, and maniacal looking as he was insane. But the repaint looks good, but I don't have a problem with the way it came.
It looks good ,but I don't have a problem with the way it came, wish it had eyes underneath and it had yellow lenses over the eyes, like the way alex Ross painted him. Think that would be alot better.
Gabriel Watts I low key wish this figure had lenses too cause I quite like the Alex Ross design. Toy Biz made a figure with lenses, I wonder if those are transplantable somehow...
Smaller pupils are accurate, but I agree, the bigger pupils do make him look a bit more maniacal and stand out to other Green Goblin figures. Not to mention, I could never attempt to paint mine since my hands aren't very steady.
Am i the only one who thought without the pupils it looks freaking badass?? Dont get me wrong I still think his repaint is sick but without the pupils it’s extremely unsettling to look at!! 🔥
Watching cause the thumbnail alone made me and five friends laugh so hard we all ended up wheezing, and anything that makes up laugh that hard deserves a watch.
All great tips if you used a fine marker to get the placement right before you paint you won't wipe the yellow away. They definitely look better it brings out the evil streak great content
You need to start a business that allows people to send you their figures with a check sheet of changes they like made. You could have a website of a large variety of choices to change all the way from eye color to the color of the shoes all the way to the hat that the customer could look through and decide on.
Darn it! I didn't even notice how bad the eyes were until you said something... and the weird thing is I JUST got him today and this HAPPENED to pop up in my feed... YT is scary.
How much time do you think factory workers can spend painting each figure? How do you think the multimillion dollar company became a multimillion dollar company? The amount of time a collector spends detailing one figure would not scale for thousands of figures.
In 200 years: "Despite this figure looking incredible. this is actually an alteration. They originally looked terrible. In original condition, its fair to say that this could easily reach 5000 space dollars. With the altered eyes as they are "200 glumbles, give or take"
Dude I have watched this video at least five times now and I still can not get my yellow to cover smoothly with no clumps like yours did. How on earth did you do that ???
You killed it with this one! You did a way better paint job than Hasbro ever did on this figure. Love it man. Don't stop doing what your doing P.S What materials did you use to do this repaint? And where can I find them?
Only thing l think would've made this customization better would be a black wash over the whole figure. I feel like the just green body is a little flat
it's surprising, very good job! I have my retro figure of the green elf, I could send it to you so you can modify mine! and if so, how much would it cost?
amazing job! could you help me with two questions? 1) Which brand is the magic eraser / where can I get it? 2) Which brush are you using for eyes and teeth? Thank you a lot!
Oh yeah! The custom job is way better! The original version looks too kiddish like. Too pre-schoolish. The custom job looks more adult and SINISTER looking! It's AWESOME!
It's weird because everyone keeps painting the eyes yellow, but they were white in the original run, at least through The Death of Gwen Stacy. If I was going to go and repaint the eyes (which I won't because I don't have any paint skills whatsoever), I would get rid of the yellow and make them white.
Yeah they were white in the 60s but most modern takes on Green Goblin has the eyes yellow. It might be something carried over from the 90s show but regardless I feel like yellow just pops more.
I get that, I just figure if I were to go to the trouble of repainting the eyes, I'd just make them Romita Sr accurate since he's my favorite Spider-Man artist.
The rest of the body should have a wash to it also, like the chainmail on the arms for example. Give it more deepth. Face looks a thousand times better now

It’s amazing what a little bit of paint can do
And passion, patience, dedication, ect,.. Lol
@@VulkHead Indeed
Especially when you go to the nightclubs. 😂
Pupilless Green Goblin looks neat, reminds me of the Raimi one
JRJR draws him like that
This came out amazing. I think this is the best repaint of that Goblin head I’ve seen, love all the details
Thanks man, highly appreciate it!!
nice pfp
Not gonna lie, I find the clear all yellow eyes at 01:16 the best. It looks so cool on the figure.
Those horrible Yellow EYES!
😅😅😅
“Deliver us!!”
Ultimate Slinger finish it!
“From evil!!”
FINISH IT!!! FINISH IT!!!! 🎃

Thank you for this. I thought I was the only one that hated those eyes. Plus you showed the struggles of painting eyes. Final product looks 👍
Before the custom he did meth instead of math
Hahaha!
What amazed me most was with the original, someone looked at it and thought "I did a good Jobs"
It was probably one of the two people in the comments who posted to say that the original looked better.
Probably some underpaid woman in China that has to paint a dozen per minute.
The original eyes made it look like a children's toy. Your re paint made it much better.
Thanks1
Full yellow eyes look creepy, man your repaint is absolutely awesome
I like the eyes on mine, it's so crazy, and maniacal looking as he was insane. But the repaint looks good, but I don't have a problem with the way it came.
Yeah same here

I tried doing this and it worked very well thanks for the tutorial on fixing the eyes.
Glad it helped!
Light years better, honestly. Hope Hasbro is taking notes!
Am i the only one who thought without the pupils it looks freaking badass?? Dont get me wrong I still think his repaint is sick but without the pupils it’s extremely unsettling to look at!! 🔥
Plenty of people have said that. I agree though lol
Genius! Honestly, those eyes...
Those eyes! Those amazing yellow eyes!
Love the custom head badass
Looks like Norman recovered from an acid trip
Such a small change makes a HUGE difference. Great work!
Definitely looks 10x better.
So purday. Can't wait to give mine this love. Thanks for your tips.
Ah the heady excitement of trying to get both pupils to point in roughly the same direction. As a miniatures painter I can completely empathise.
Watching cause the thumbnail alone made me and five friends laugh so hard we all ended up wheezing, and anything that makes up laugh that hard deserves a watch.
Glad I made you guys forget about the misery that is life for a moment!

I’ve got a good tip for painting small dots. Use a pin instead of a paint brush. It works better.
Pupils line up with the ends of your mouth so if you line them up with his mouth you can find out where to put the dots easier.
Thanks for the tip but I don’t think it applies in this particular instance with his exaggerated grin
I would legit pay you to do this for me bro! FANTASTIC JOB.
I take commissions, message me on twitter or instagram. =)
A fine tip paint pen is best when painting the pupils
Wow that really did make a huge difference! Great job on the custom man!
Wooow, this looks stellar. Fantastic work.
That looks phenomenal man
Thanks!
Great work! Massive improvement on the original.
I'm really impressed you freehanded the pupils with a brush.
KatlikeRider Thanks! I freehand everything because I’m too lazy to add more steps to it. I got an aneurism fixing my retro Spider-Man’s weblines...
For the pupils, a fine point sharpie would have been easier and just as effective as a small brush.
Wow you made the eyes look better I got the same figure, I like the green goblin he’s my favorite Spiderman Super villain.
Looks 1000x better
Absolutely incredible work 😁
lol Instead of all those resets, I'd have just marked it with pencil first.
did you mark what you were going to go over with black paint
I love the change. Great job 👍
Brush on primer and then paint to avoid clumping. Also yellow is a breeze if you paint it pink first no idea why it works but it does
Damn looks so much better, and less goofy!
Now it truly looks retro
Nice... What I did was use the toy biz head of green goblin and match the color green

I needa get myself a custom like this lol.
Darn it! I didn't even notice how bad the eyes were until you said something... and the weird thing is I JUST got him today and this HAPPENED to pop up in my feed... YT is scary.
Quedó excelente!
Looks good.
that's an understatement
This is fucking amazing
Looks really great! I totally love it!
Im going to do the same when i get mines, idk what they were thinking making the dots that big and adding the white was not needed
you should be hired at hasbro
Great, man ! Amazing job.
Hello from Brasil !
Obrigado!
*that moment when a small youtuber with under 100k subscribers can make action figures look better than a multi-million dollar company*
You're comparing a grown adult to an armada of overworked 12 year olds.

@James Lin hmmm good point
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sick! Wayyyy better

I think you should do the Peter Spider Sense head
Man awesome mod! I'm looking to do the same to my green goblin. What kind of paint did you use and what size brush.
god, i needed this thank you man. your vids are so helpful. i want to try and work on a pattinson batman. not looking forward to sculpting lol
Really went from a goofy looking to a much more comic accurate.
Those factory painted eyes are WONKY. Hasbro has the colors nailed but Toybiz released the better figure long ago.

Those eyes! Those horrible yellow eyes!
I was thinking about this
Good job man
Before: Kawaii Goblin
After: Badass Green Goblin!
"I will get you Spider-Man-kun UwU"
They looked so much better before... YIKES
I like the repaint but those previous “disney” eyes makes him look really creepy 😦
This looks much more accurate than hasbros.
Great job!
Am I like the only person who likes those eyes?
Okay, now that I’m really seeing it, the original face does look dopey.
Dude I have watched this video at least five times now and I still can not get my yellow to cover smoothly with no clumps like yours did. How on earth did you do that ???
Several coats of thinned down yellow paint. Yellow sucks but don't just cake it on, as tempting as it is.
@@VADtoys got ya, I think my problem is I’m going in too paint heavy and not waiting long enough for more layers
It’s amazing to me why they wouldn’t make him this way out right

Leve the white eyes man.
I dunno, i kinda liked the derp goblin eyes🤷🏾♂️
Bro I will do the same! But where I am can't find that paints😉
What paint brush is that?

Why didn’t they do that in the first place, you’re version looks waaaaay better!
Because it takes so much damn time for mass production
excellent job! Maybe you answered this a lot of times...but what kind of kind are you usiging? water based paint?
Citadel and Vallejo mostly. Check out my "Tools" video for a rundown
The before looks funny as hell, he looks like he's on drugs hahaha
Take notes Hasbro!
Or you could use a pencil to get perfect placement?
Could you please say what brand of paints you used.
That GG can use a green wash over it.
I know but I also sort of like him looking like a tasty jellybean.
So much better
You vs the guy she tells u not to worry about.
Nice job! Do you seal it afterwards?
I do! I use a spray on acrylic sealer for cars.
Excelent!!!!!!!
What paint do you use to paint hands
