I'm about to take my time from work for a week in a remote place with my computer. I love the idea of getting out, touching grass and continue my game. If I start my youtube channel, I'll mention this video for sure❤

At lunchtime I often go for a walk around the cemetery across the road from us (not as morbid as it sounds - I promise!) It's a beautiful green space full of so many different kinds of trees and animals. WITHOUT FAIL I come back refreshed and full of new ideas and motivation (perhaps it helps that the theme of our game is "trees in the Bible"?!) So I definitely relate to what you are saying here!

Bro I think you might actually be my doppelgänger. I'm like positive that 90% of all my games/ideas were either thought of on a hike or in the shower. LOL. Amazing video, high quality editing, you never cease to amaze. Keep going broski.

Love this video. This is for me one of your better videos. I think a lot of the gamedevs today neglect the importance of a balanced lifestyle. Good job with this video.

Hike looks awesome, really digging the drone footage! Totally agree about enjoying games driven by immersion and world building rather than violence or conflict, excited to see your game launch!

Great video! There's two things that I always imagine doing with my son once he's older (he's 19 months now) - play video games and explore nature.

    Hey Thomas,
No truer words spoken. I am a software engineer and I can honestly say that, if it wasn't for the many nature walks that I take, I wouldn't even be able to do my job. There is no better cure to a mindblock than just going for a walk. Thankfully, we have a nature walking park very close to our house that my wife, kids, and I will walk religiously. It is so important to get outside and, as you rightfully mention, "feel small." It's an immediate stress reliever and shows you that the stress you're going through, in the grand scheme of things, is truly insignificant. It can be overcome.
I am a recent subscriber, but have loved all of the content I've seen from you so far. Keep up the great work; you're doing awesome things!

It also seems like a lot of game developers take way more inspiration from other games than from the real world
