(Hello I had to re-upload this due to copyright issues) I want to add that a lot of Marinette’s anxiety comes from feeling like she doesn’t deserve to love and be loved. This episode gives us one moment where she allows herself a little bit of room to be happy and she’s almost akumatized which reaffirms in her mind that her love is destructive.
The fact that you said that you want Marinette to have a healthy mindset before she starts seeking out love made me have so much more respect for you! Yes you go! It shows maturity and intelligence, which as a 19 year old fan makes me really happy.
In defense of Marinette "convincing" herself.... what I think she's doing is just getting used to the idea outloud. Because her cheeks ARE flushed multiple times around Chat Noir, she IS sighing and crying over him, and I MEAN SHE KISSED HIM. But it's also one of those thunderstruck moments where she's also like ~processing this sudden and powerful shift. Her feelings are real, but she's not quite used to it. And it makes her terrified and giddy and depressed and angry and excited all at once because she knows how difficult her love life is.
Plus after being kind of a crazy stalker to Adrien for literal months and planning her entire life with him before she even tells him that she likes him. She's kind of creepy but I love her. XD
The main problem with marichat here is that it's just SO rushed. The only reason why Adrien finds it a problem to date Marinette as Chat Noir in the first place is because they didn't have enough development! She describes herself as a fan for goodness sake, and while this make sense for us on the other side of the screen, in reality, they barely know eachother! This wouldn't need to happen if they were developed earlier, or if they got more moments together before kissing at the end. But of course, that doesn't happen, because we need to sink the ship as fast as we possibly can, while still appeasing the fans, amirite? Conclusion: Keep reading fanfiction boys, it's way better than this.
One thing that you forgot tho is that…Marinette and Chat Nior had been developing for a while…but not as Marinete but as ladybug. For her, it didn’t really felt too rushed because she has been developing this feeling for him for quite sometime now, both as Marinete and Ladybug. And that is why it’s weird for Cat noir because he does not know Marionette is Ladybug, even thought the audiences know that his old and “new” feeling still revolves around Marinate.

Chat doesn't ike that Marinette gained feellings for some dude that as far as he knows she's barely interacted with [himself as Chat] . Pllllus, he did just find out she used to like him as Adrien. The only pairings in the ship where they both are aware or recognize that the other knows them personally are Ladynoir and Adrienette. The main reason they can't date has always been tbecause Hawkmoth could use their love against them. But Hawkmoth would completely overlook his son and Marinette being together. Meaning that if they do get together before Hawkmoth is dealt with they llllikely won't know that they're not the two main holders.
To be honest: After creating those Rings, which have an A.I., work as telephone and can post things on social media, i expected Gabriel to heavily surveil Alya as former Miraculous holder. And the talk between Mari and Alya, that Mari is Ladybug, in the middle of the street is seriously dangerous for them. If anyone in the street would've listend to the conversation, Gabriel would've known, that Mari is Ladybug

He could've traveled back in time and steal the Miraculous from our protagonists in the past, after they defeated one of his minions and detransformed

There are a lot of flaws and things that could be better, but i also feel like a lot of people expect way more from the show than what the creators intended. I honestly don't feel sorry for Marinette. She wasn't always kind to Chat Noir. She was a hypocritical creep when it came to Adrien, and she kept emotionally cheating on Luka. She doesn't deserve any of them until she fully matures and owns up to her mistakes.
GIRL I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE SOMEONE ON THE SAME PAGE! We saw Chat Blanc drama, GIVE ME THE OTHER HALF OF THIS DUO ALREADY!!! But I have a theory. Maybe in episode 11 we could see Marinette akumatized because Gabriel will find out who Scarabella and Kitty Noire are, and knowing that they are both close to her they might hesitate a fight because they won’t wanna fight their best friend. That’s all in his mind but this could work because they haven’t had to go against anyone that close before. Connected sure, but only to Scarabella and not very well. Also there is some support to this since in Emotion (which comes after 7 episodes after Kwami’s Choice part 2) Ladybug quotes “Winning isn’t always what we think it is.” It’s a small detail considering as long as Monarch doesn’t win she wins but, she would have to be in her feelings for this to happen. Yet, I think I know what might be the matter, she misses Tiki, and all Monarch knows is she misses a friend
I think Adrein will let out more of his Chat Noir goofiness with Marinette because in way he tried to with Kagami in Lies and we all know how that went but since Adrein knows that she does like that side of him I think it will help/enable it even more
This show has some major loops. Hawkmoth's identity can't be found out because of the chat blank situation. Neither of their identities can be revealed because it always ends in disaster and they always end up sloppily exposing themselves like episode where gabe found out by hearing Adrien say m'lady💀. And hawkmoth is straight madness! He could have ended all by just going back before he gave the miraculous to his wife but he was crazy and chased after lb and Cn. A major plot thingy im confused abt is why if gabe finds out about Adrien that he'd openly try and hurt him? His whole motive is to get his wife back to return happiness to Adrien and Him? So why would he endanger his son to get to a goal that legit is meant to make his son happy? Also it's always if adrien finds out about gabe, would nice to to see a mari version
I think at first gabe's motivation to getting the miraculous was for his wife, but overtime his motivations changed and now he just wants power. Thats why natalie stopped being his partner in the train scene
Notice when they first kiss as you told the rose looks like the ladybug mask and that was a true loves kiss but when they kiss again marinette doesn't have the rose and it wasn't a true loves kiss

This video was amazing, and I just agree on so many of your points, I have just been waiting for someone to voice these. Marichat is also just the best ship, cause they have been friends for pretty long, and then they just became more. It is way less toxic than for example Ladrien, 'cause those two can't form sentences together. And also Marinette can talk sentences to Chat 😍🐈⬛ Edit: Also for Marinette and Adrien to get together they needed to fall for the others identity. They hadn't fallen for both identities in Chat Blanc or Ephemeral, however they did in Oblivio where their love wasn't creating the end of the Earth
5:50 this reminded me that I’m surprised that no one made a video on Miraculous Ladybug’s soundtrack. It’s criminally underrated and honestly is one of the best parts of the show.

The thing with Andre that kinda confuses me. He says in another episode that you don’t NEED to be in love to enjoy an ice cream together. And makes one for Luka and Marinette. Yes! This episode was brillian. I cant stop thinking about it! All I am missing right now is a moment of realization from adrien. U know, the "Oh shit, she isn't just a friend and she hasn't been for a long time" kind. Also the realization that he was buttercup!!!! absolutely, yes, 100% maybe even him revisiting or reminiscing memories he has with marinette from the show but from his point of view. Because all the moments we have from the past seasons, we explore mostly how marinette feels about him and not vice-versa, with some exceptions of course. And I have a hard time accepting that Adriens feelings changed for her during puppeteer 2 out of all the times they could have picked XD Maybe it would have made more sense, IMO, if adrien was more confused about his feelings, because here he said that he loves LB as a friend, but honestly I dont buy it, even though he sounded very sincere. So it would be more like "I love LB, no mari, no LB, no mari--- BOTH?" and wondering if he can even love more than a person at the same time. Then of course he would have to hide his feelings towards LB and stop flirting with her as much as he did past seasons because the focus is on the mission and the stakes are higher than ever but still. But honestly, I cant complain XD

Considering we saw Future Ladybug and Chat Noir in another episode, it’s safe to say that them together as any combination of Marinette/Ladybug X Adrien/Chat Noir will just never happen. Both of them will be stuck in a paradox of there always being Hawk Moth or Monarch, and they can never be happy. Unless something is different with the last episode of season 5.
Yes, I feel your excitement. This is what I wanted earlier! A deconstruction of their feelings and relationship with love. Honestly, I never thought Adrien really loved ladybug or Marinette was in love with Adrien. I think that ladybug was the first time Adrien had someone treat him as an equal and appreciated the real him so he fixated on that surface-level attraction he had even though the natural course would've been a platonic bond. Mari for whatever reason seems to be anxious-avoidant with love where-in she'll fixate on the person but never try for something tangible and fulfilling which is very fascinating. I love the fact that their fears when it comes to romance are interplaying Mari's anxiety that she'll never have a good romance and Adrien's power dynamic issues that come from how he was raised. I'm so hopeful in a way that I never was before for the romance in miraculous.

We have been waiting a long time, and to say it's been stressful and emotional would be an understatement. And while the show isn't perfect, there have been a lot of heartfelt moments and a lot of good has come from it. All the inspiration for fan art and fanfiction. I also want Marinette to be sure of herself, be content on her own before ever having a relationship, because love is not supposed to make you feel so stressed all the time. It's peaceful and comforting. And I hope that she gets that in the end. We've waited such a long time, I want to see the end of the show one day, and their happy ending. ♥︎🐞🐈⬛
also we've seen akumatized people go directly against gabes orders so even if mari was gonna be akumatized they would have the freedom to say not even like this would she ever give up her miraculous and just go to fight chat yknow
Honestly, these check all the marks I had hoped their relationship would go through. In fact, the show does do the moments I expect to happen for the journey of their relationship. The problem? Pacing. Either they rushed it like with the two dating Kagami and Luca for a while. Mari and Luca's break up is what I expected, but it ended too soon, for me. They should have given time to make things work. Have their parents teach them compromises and the basics of dating. things Mari would apply when she eventually ends up with Adrien. And as sweet as this kiss is. all the "What if" scenarios, at least for me, REALLY killed the ship for me. I still expect them to end up together. but I'm not as happy about it as I would if they NEVER did those bait and switches, and actually paced and handled the love square better than they did. It's good to see the fans that stuck to the show and feel rewarded for this. But for me... like when Mari revealed that she was ladybug to Alya. All I can say is "This could have been done sooner"
I would love to see a half-season put in where ladybug ends up being overwhelmed pissed-off has a nervous breakdown and very dark demonic way The next episode she's woken up in the hospital showing that she had her head like majorly hit her head like she was knocked unconscious and she wakes up in the hospital remembering nothing but the state of mind she was in when she was hit that anger that piss off all her emotions at that time are left and no way to deal with them to let them go monarch used to be known as hawk moth would have the ability to take Marinette most powerful akumatized person But she would have been should get back her memory and be able to go back in time to face so we see a storyline where Marinette loses everything she loves the most she hurts everyone she loves she goes back in time to stop herself But in the episodes it shows that cat noir ring ends up in monarchs hands which means the worst enemy of the episode is Marinette she helps hawk moth get cat noirs ring 💍 but goes back in time to deal with herself being so upset She has to calm herself down and get her to remember who she is without revealing that she is talking to ladybug even though she is ladybug 🐞 I think my story line could set up a mini just dedicated to this storyline which would also make more sense why there's a rabbit 🐰 miraculous holder within the time burrow which would mean this is marionettes trump card ♠️ her Ace up her sleeve which would mean that she'd know that somehow there is a way to win to have the ability to stop monarch by knowing the future I think it's extremely smart showing that this protect the timeline and protects everyone her sacrifice being the rabbit means that there's no way monarch could ever truly win
havent been updated on any episodes or anything that has happened with miraculous ladybug since well, before the pandemic. And I gotta say, is it just me or does the animation seem.. cheap? choppy? like every move is it's own take, but it's.. not? Idk ive heard that the quality had been less than ideal from the internet like a year back, but I remember how charachetistc the animation seemed when i first watched the show, now it looks like an 2000 gta game.. Im sorry very off topic but omg its too distracting to even focus on any story telling
Honestly it depends on the episode and who’s animating it. I especially noticed how rough it looked when editing shots elations shots next to the nyc special or the og balcony scene. It used to look so nice 😭 anyways it’s not a deal breaker for me but I definitely see where you’re coming from.

Marichat is also just the best ship, cause they have been friends for pretty long, and then they just became more. Edit: Also for Marinette and Adrien to get together they needed to fall for the others identity. They hadn't fallen for both identities in Chat Blanc or Ephemeral, however they did in Oblivio where their love wasn't creating the end of the Earth

Yes! This episode was brillian. I cant stop thinking about it! All I am missing right now is a moment of realization from adrien. U know, the "Oh shit, she isn't just a friend and she hasn't been for a long time" kind. Also the realization that he was buttercup!!!! absolutely, yes, 100% maybe even him revisiting or reminiscing memories he has with marinette from the show but from his point of view. Because all the moments we have from the past seasons, we explore mostly how marinette feels about him and not vice-versa, with some exceptions of course. And I have a hard time accepting that Adriens feelings changed for her during puppeteer 2 out of all the times they could have picked XD Maybe it would have made more sense, IMO, if adrien was more confused about his feelings, because here he said that he loves LB as a friend, but honestly I dont buy it, even though he sounded very sincere. So it would be more like "I love LB, no mari, no LB, no mari--- BOTH?" and wondering if he can even love more than a person at the same time. Then of course he would have to hide his feelings towards LB and stop flirting with her as much as he did past seasons because the focus is on the mission and the stakes are higher than ever but still. But honestly, I cant complain XD

Yes, I feel your excitement. This is what I wanted earlier! A deconstruction of their feelings and relationship with love. Honestly, I never thought Adrien really loved ladybug or Marinette was in love with Adrien. I think that ladybug was the first time Adrien had someone treat him as an equal and appreciated the real him so he fixated on that surface-level attraction he had even though the natural course would've been a platonic bond. Mari for whatever reason seems to be anxious-avoidant with love where-in she'll fixate on the person but never try for something tangible and fulfilling which is very fascinating. I love the fact that their fears when it comes to romance are interplaying Mari's anxiety that she'll never have a good romance and Adrien's power dynamic issues that come from how he was raised. I'm so hopeful in a way that I never was before for the romance in miraculous.
Between the two, chat is very mature compared to her.

We have been waiting a long time, and to say it's been stressful and emotional would be an understatement. And while the show isn't perfect, there have been a lot of heartfelt moments and a lot of good has come from it. All the inspiration for fan art and fanfiction. I also want Marinette to be sure of herself, be content on her own before ever having a relationship, because love is not supposed to make you feel so stressed all the time. It's peaceful and comforting. And I hope that she gets that in the end. We've waited such a long time, I want to see the end of the show one day, and their happy ending. ♥︎🐞🐈⬛

Honestly, these check all the marks I had hoped their relationship would go through. In fact, the show does do the moments I expect to happen for the journey of their relationship.
The problem? Pacing. Either they rushed it like with the two dating Kagami and Luca for a while. Mari and Luca's break up is what I expected, but it ended too soon, for me. They should have given time to make things work. Have their parents teach them compromises and the basics of dating. things Mari would apply when she eventually ends up with Adrien.
And as sweet as this kiss is. all the "What if" scenarios, at least for me, REALLY killed the ship for me. I still expect them to end up together. but I'm not as happy about it as I would if they NEVER did those bait and switches, and actually paced and handled the love square better than they did.
It's good to see the fans that stuck to the show and feel rewarded for this. But for me... like when Mari revealed that she was ladybug to Alya. All I can say is "This could have been done sooner"

But she would have been should get back her memory and be able to go back in time to face so we see a storyline where Marinette loses everything she loves the most she hurts everyone she loves she goes back in time to stop herself
But in the episodes it shows that cat noir ring ends up in monarchs hands which means the worst enemy of the episode is Marinette she helps hawk moth get cat noirs ring 💍 but goes back in time to deal with herself being so upset
She has to calm herself down and get her to remember who she is without revealing that she is talking to ladybug even though she is ladybug 🐞
I think my story line could set up a mini just dedicated to this storyline which would also make more sense why there's a rabbit 🐰 miraculous holder within the time burrow which would mean this is marionettes trump card ♠️ her Ace up her sleeve which would mean that she'd know that somehow there is a way to win to have the ability to stop monarch by knowing the future I think it's extremely smart showing that this protect the timeline and protects everyone her sacrifice being the rabbit means that there's no way monarch could ever truly win
