Neither Pinotage or Alicante Bouschet fit the bill, so it had to be Marselan. Great seeing the winemaker introducing his vineyard and wine. Fun video and educational. Cheers!
We loved that he took the time to share his wine!
Sounds delicious!
Master class from start to finish. Olive note had me leaning to 🇪🇸 or 🇵🇹 , but I don’t really know either varietal to have conviction! Great job on this one! 🍷
Oh I guessed correctly! I think I would like this wine!
Love it! I'm hoping you'll some day pick a French/American hybrid. There's not much knowledge about them on the part of consumers yet, but a disproportionately high number of conversations among winemakers online are about hybrids, because people are starting to realize they are the way forward in a changing climate. I'd love to see you feature a modern hybrid like Petite Pearl, Valvin Muscat, Marquette, etc. Some of them will knock your socks off.
Love this mention of hybrids! I think people are starting to come around to the potential.
Very interesting… Awesome..
Glad you enjoyed it
❤
Had me with this one, couldn't find it in the wine folly master guide.
It's a great resource none the less
indeed. a rare one for sure!
A man-made white wine grape that might be worth looking into is Symphony; I really enjoy it, but it's not common nor easy to find.
where did you find that growing?
@Winefolly I believe that almost all is grown in California. It was hybridized at UC/Davis by Harold Olmo. Think of a cross of Muscat and Viognier, and you have an idea of it's flavor profile.
lol u girls are cute and amazinnnn
