Martin O'Connor, Seamie O'Dowd, Cathal Hayden, Jim Higgins - Trip to Inishturk, Cregg's Pipes Видеоклипы
I'd still need to hear / see Martin do some slow airs. For me, no one beats the derry lad. Eugene O'Donnell, Lord rest him. But Martin is in the ballpark, .
Amazing band, just saw them today play'n in Paris (minus the borhan), what a fantastic band, they blew the Parisiens away !! being a guitar player myself, Shamie must be one of Irelands great guitar players, I was mesmerised by his playing & the way the band bounced off each other musically, got your CD Shamie, time for me to practice now !!
I love it when fine musicians like this start to warm up! Fine box playing!
i have seen them play last sunday they are great
you are the best Martin!!!
I honestly think Cathal was sent from above to show us the way ....... There is something so spiritual about him and his fiddle, when I listen to him playing I'm in another place, no, I didn't hear the fiddle very well here
Bernadette Emett he’s a great man
@wrongwayup You've probably found out about all of them by now -but anyway -
Martin O'Connor - accordion .... Cathal Hayden - fiddle ... Jim Higgins - bodhran
Seamie O'Dowd - guitar
AWSOME Happy Paddy's day.
I listen i liked ! that will do for me well done guys.from david, liverpool,uk
Epic!
Yep... what Jim said...
@arraia78 Yeah. Ive always been taught that an Irish session is a group of musicians that just happen to be playing the same tune at the same time....dont think of it as a band....
Sounds tricky but nice!
Everyone keeps the time in Irish music.
Anyone know the actual tune titles for the first two tunes? No results for "Tip to Inishturk" anywhere but I know I've heard it. That second tune is MONEY :)
i hope i am like Máirtín O'Connor when i'm a grandad
Wow, that button accordion player is crazy. Who of the names listed is the one who plays it?
Dunno why the bodhran has a mic so bloody close, tempo isnt the forefront, its in the back holding balance!
these guys are jamming hard
@ForumForWorldMusic That's the interest : synergy !
Flying
@heikoran1975 Yeah, Séamie must have been busy elsewhere, but Tommy's no too bad!
I agree with what fiddle4u says...but I'm not complaining bcs. I'd rather just hear Mairtin play solo all day anyway. LOL!
That's no moron on the bodhran, fantastic stuff.. I can't tell you how many times I'd stop playing when some eejit starts banging away thinking they can play and keep rhythm. Frustrating.
Such a shame you can't hear the fiddle:/
This is correct but unfortunately not always the case....the music sets the pace and the bodhran follows and flows :-)
wot they said too!
Really good but can't hear the fiddler. Which is why I never like hearing the fiddle and box together, they just blend too much. Now the Border Pipes and Fiddle, theres a fittin' match.
I only hear the accordion and the bodhran. Just a hint of guitar. I don't hear the fiddle at all.
to me the bodhran slipps in and out of time with everything else and is not keeping the rhythm.
