I saw and heard Hank Locklin sing in Arcadia Ballroom, Cork, ireland in the 60s, I always liked his voice and the songs he sang. In my opinion Hank was a Legend.
Talking of the 60s, I saw him at Toul Rossiers AB in 1966. And it seems like yesterday. It was such a pleasure to see these folks when you were stuck way out in the middle of nowhere doing your service for Uncle Sam.
My father really liked Hank, so his music was played quite often in our house. His favourites were Hank, Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline. Not a bad trio to be his favourites.
Used to go to your club at Toul Depot, that was a few years back but still seems like yesterday. I was at Chaumont AB in 1959 and Toul Rossier in 1966. DeGualle booted us out of France both times, Bless his heart for being grateful for us liberating France for him.
@dudeinala Hi Dude, I was an MP at Toul Depot the night he stopped at the MP Station to ask directions out to Toul Rossiers. We tried to talk him into just coming to our EM Club instead! I never saw him perform in person, but he sure was a nice guy that night.
Hank is one of my favourite and will always be for the balance of my Life. ❤

It's not a true CMHOF without Hank. He is as good as any singer in there and better than most. He also wrote "Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On".
brings back the years i spent in Texas
what country singers were meant to sound like - great
Gee, I don't know which rendition I like better, David Houston who did this song in the middle 1960's or Hank Locklin's. They're both great!
thanks Hank
I dedicate this song to my ex-husband who was Persuaded time and time again.
