as good as it may sound, it resembles the uyi and that's it. i'm obsessed with this tone and IMO it's much better and crunchier than the AFD tone. not to be missunderstood, i like this mod alot but you cannot get too close to the original because from what i read on the forums slash used two amps to create the tone and feed back. thumbs up for playing and everything
@joshua0226 pres 6 bass 5 mid 7 trbl 6, preamp master and gain as i wrote in the description... for that sound you need the #34 mod, guitar and amp only!
Giacomo??!!! Do you like the way the amp sounds with the THD Hotplate, or would you buy a different attenuator if you had to buy another attenuator??? Thanks in advance!!
Can you take some photos for us of the inside of your amp chasis? We'd love to see whats going on in your amp. Also, was this recorded at high volumes?
@AlexDeMars123 I think the only way is to send the head here in Italy if you want the mod... However write an e-mail at BRBS, you should receive all the infos you want in english...
Jay Linton Hi! At the time I had Tad 12ax7 in the preamp and C logo in the power amp section. I don't remember the exat settings but once you have done the mod it's 90% of the sound. The eq is not so important because it doesn't change so much... You have to dial gain and volume in the right way and for this video the volume of the power amp is set on 8 and preamp on 3. Hope it helps!
Hi G! Thanks for the reply!! Can you elaborate on the tube manufacturer? I've never heard if these tubes before...what does "Tad" and "C" mean?? Also, any chance of getting a photo of the inside of your amp? I could make it worth your while?? (-; You can email me direct if you'd like. Here's my email address: bmwfreq64@gmail.com. -Jay
Jay Linton C logo are Svetlana, Russian made and TAD are Tube Amp Doctor, they selects tubes, basically those that I have are chinese made. For the photos I'm sorry but I don't have this mod anymore because I returned to the '69 era specs but I think you can find the #34 #36 mods very easily on the Internet!
ROCK!!
i wonder how it sounds clean, slash had a very nice clean sound on use your illusion, i wonder if you can get them out of this as well....the gain setting sounds amazing, really nice tone....and youre playing was good also :)
+Giacomo Ghezzi Thanks for the reply. Was your amp really loud when you recorded this? Or did you use an attenuator? What amp do you have? JMP?? Whay year? Also, what were your settings on the EQ of the amp?
That's dead on. Can you message me with info about the #34 mod? It's the tone that got me into guitar back at the age of 11. I'd really love to have a Marshall modded to that exact spec, but I can't find the info. :(
Wow, you are the first one i have heard here on youtube who really nailed the UYI sound. Great job, great playing!
Man..... that intro sounded toooooooo good! Love the tone!
that's pretty badass bro...wow. speechless!

@Jagermaster13
I'm sorry I'm not a technician, the head is modified by BRBS amp as I wrote in the description...
i dont why ppl think slashs spakers are v30... Greenbacks all the way! love your tonee!
This is awesome!
@joshua0226
less gain and different tone shape... it's a stock plexi than you have to turn into jcm800 then hot rodded...
Amazing
the cabinet was a 1960 with celestion v30`s GT12M or Celestion G12T- 75 W, tried kind a more brighter
Dude, this sounds EXACTLY the same... Congrats and wish I could play on it ;)
Idolo!!
the cabinet was a 1960 with celestion v30`s or Celestion G12 - 75 W, tried kind a more brighter
...still waiting for photos!(?)
@Neylus I'm sorry man, i don't have the schems, the mod is not made by myself... if you search the internet you can find it somewhere, I think...
Very very nice man
Porta qualche altra full cover GnR dai,sound/playing assurdi !

ouuu very nice
Can you please make a Kemper profile for this? I will pay you!! (You should get a Kemper, profile this and keep this amp safe and play your kemper)
what are your settings, what tubes are using and can you achieve this sound with a jcm 800 4104?
I forgot to ask...what speakers are you using??? Greenbacks or Vintage 30's???
@Nellysman1
yes, 6550 sed winged C
Original or reissue plexi? Original or reissue cab? Burstbuckers alnico 2 pickups?
Hey G!!! I'd love to know what tubes you use, and what settings on the amp were for this recording. Thanks!!!

Thank you, G! Were your power tubes EL-34s or 6550's???
Jay Linton I used to have el34 but Slash uses 6550...
@NicoGreenDay95 di gain ce n'ha tanto sul video è settato a 3!
Does this amplifier have 65/50s output tubes?
@PredaDrake
ROCK!!
What power and pre-amp tubes did you use in the video?
That is amazing. I got an AFD 100 and this sounds better than that!
What greenbacks are you using?
Amazing UYI tone! What were the amp settings when you recorded this, Giacomo? I'm gonna take a guess...P0-B8-M4-T0-MV8-PA2...am I close??? (-:
7 years later and still no response 😭
please, can i have the schematics of the mod? i have a JCM 800 2203
Fucking killer, love it
how different is this without the mod?
i wonder how it sounds clean, slash had a very nice clean sound on use your illusion, i wonder if you can get them out of this as well....the gain setting sounds amazing, really nice tone....and youre playing was good also :)
He used a Roland jc120 for cleans ;)
how do you record? can you give me some tips?
Suona altrettanto simile all'originale anche col pickup al manico?
@drino5150
where can I get this mod done in my amp?
Did you use a delay pedal for this recording? Or does your amp have a reverb tank???
+Jay Linton The reverb is from the recording software!
+Giacomo Ghezzi Thanks for the reply. Was your amp really loud when you recorded this? Or did you use an attenuator? What amp do you have? JMP?? Whay year? Also, what were your settings on the EQ of the amp?

Buy the AFD 100. It's does exactly that.
Doesn't Slash us a Cocked Wah for a lot of the songs on UYI
No its the mod of the amp
settings please
