  • Ghana grants citizenship to African Americans & Caribbeans as part of beyond the return initiative. Ghana has granted citizenship to several African Americans and Afro Caribbeans as part of the country beyond the return initiative to attract resettlement of Africa descendants. In 2019, Ghana successfully hosted the Year of return with a raft of activities, at home and abroad, to encourage the descendants of those who were forcibly sent into slavery to return home to Africa.

Ethiopia has given a small land to these people long time ago(a hundred years ago) known as shashemene ,
But they have not invested there considering the historical aspect , anyways as ethiopians(Cushites) that's all we can do cus we aren't involved in the slave trade or related with their decendents ,
Ghana is doing a magnificent job granting citizenship and all , very inspiring and responsible , Nigeria n others should follow

They are considered African (rightly so) I am not. I wasn't born there, didn't grow up there and I acted westernized. I was extremely out of place. There will be people that will consider you an outsider. There will also be people that will welcome you with open arms. However, that shouldn't dissuade you from going. In general the people there are warm, welcoming and will receive you with open arms despite what you've been told. I understand if your hesitant to go though. I also want to say though there are some Africans that don't show love to people in the diaspora I will always love my brothers and sisters.

America its not a country America it's a continent. The United States government is actually using the name of a continent. We are U S citizens. Citizens of the United States. The United States is a country but America is not a country it's a continent. The whole entire continent was already named America 269 years before the United States of America became a nation or even existed. Everyone on the American continent is an American likewise Asia are Asians Africa are Africans and Europe are Europeans. I have 5 questions. 1: Where or how does the U.S government get the name America from? 2: What happened first? The United States of America or the American continent? 3: The United States of America is the only country in North America, Central America, South America the Americas the American continent is it? 4: What government divided the American continent? 5: What government added the North the Central and the South to the American continent?

It's more for their convenience, my friend AA.
Note Nana Akufo-Addo is requesting that African-Americans, who are US citizens by default, have dollars and some sort of specialty or skill.
He knows that no, young unemployed AA is going to Ghana. Those who will respond to the call are those who know themselves, are mostlyeducated, have carriers that allow travel, or are retired in the United States.
Jamaicans might meet that condition, but I believe that this is essentially a simulation meant to dissipate the criticism of primarily impoverished countries like Haiti.
Following the 2010 Haitian earthquake, Senegal proposed to other African nations to naturalize Haitians and give them a portion of land in order to alleviate the extreme poverty of the Haitian people. No other African country spoke up..

Or is it that some of u do not know the level Nigeria is compare to ghana?? Or is this hypocrisy or ignorance of development in nigeria or non appreciative of both natural, human and others in Nigeria???.....cmon it takes a low brainer to say nigeria is doing catch up with ghana.. CAPITAL NO! Nigeria is far ahead of ghana in so many areas only pple like u don't appreciate what u have belittled Nigeria greatness, this doesn't mean nigeria is sailing well or at a level of applaud but not below ghana. I also accept ghana doing better in few areas like governance but outside that nothin to copy from ghana i rather know they are the one looking up to nigeria to get on.

I loved Africa so much that I started dancing traditional African dances through the house all the time.💜😅 Then one day My mum comes in the house with the movie called Serafina.Changed My Life🤗 Why did she do that 😝That was My confirmation that this is where I belong. Once they started to sing & dance through all of the madness that was going on & tears just rolled down My cheeks. I knew, that I knew Africa is home b4 anybody taught Me. After the movie went off I told My mum I must go to Africa & fight for My people✊🏾👁👊🏾💥🔥. My mum went🤦🏾.. & the rest of My family thought I went crazy😅& they knew I was serious💁🏾.. I never gave up on going!!!!! I talked about from that day till now & I will never stop.. It's spiritual & magical to Me 💜 Last August I finally got a chance to come to Ghana it was an out of the body experience for Me. When the captain announced on the plane We are now about to enter & touch down in Ghana I burst out crying.💜😅😂My whole section of My plane just got silent🤦🏾I guess people could feel My spirit of what this means to Me bc once We landed & getting of the plane people was looking at Me like 😌 & 👀 who is she😝😂. I also had people out of no where just started to help Me with My things. When I got off the plane the vibration & libations I felt was overwhelming. I thought I was dreaming💜The 1st day it rained I went out side to danced in it.. I just danced & cried in the rain. Then My nieces came out. We just laughed & danced round the house in the rain. I can go on & on about My experience there. When I left months later I cried like a baby. I felt like I was leaving a big part of Me. I'm coming back soon & one day soon be living there. I don't see other African countries doing this anytime soon. They aren't going to do what ghana is doing anytime soon don't even waste your time hoping for it to happen. Ghana has been inviting the black diasporans to visit ghana or reside there since the 1950s. Kwame Nkrumah was the one who advocated for the blk disporans to come visit ghana or move there and its 2022 and these other African countries *still* hasn't even tried to do what ghana has done since then.

As "Africans" in the Americas 🌎 we never gave up our rights to citizenship in Africa 🌍. We were either taken or sold from the African continent.
Therefore, this is a good first step in the right direction of restoration and/or reparations.
