That price is only normal in Argentina, where there are 100% import taxes, extra fees depending on the size of the package, customs and port fees, plus you have to pay at least a 20% bribe unless you are friends with a politician who gives you a discount on bribery

Also bought the R5 3600 for $107 worth of my currency and the total system would cost around $628 and would be a PS5 killer as it could also brows the web and play Xbox/Pc exclusive titles for e.g. Halo/Forza/CS GO/mobile games too and also has backwards compatibility with older games such as Gta IV and older Need for speed also to mention I don't need any PS Plus subscription so yeah I only paid $186 more then a PS5 and that would be easily recoverable as 1 and a half year PS5 membership costs $180 so yeah got a big deal well actually opposite to that guy.
Ryzen 5 3600 was released in July 2019, not 2021. A simply google search would tell you that. And in fairness, in 2021, the prices for the 3600 was stupid high. So $300, although unfortunate, seems quite right.
