I popped in your shop this morning, purchased the Dominique pattern and material (lovely helpful lady Hayley talked me through things) never made clothing before (fairly new to sewing), completed it and it didnt take very long, would never have thought about making clothing so pleased I saw this video it gave me confidence so thank you Sewisfaction 🙂

Love all of your choices for patterns and fabrics. I have several of these patterns and want to make so many! I think a beginner would be so excited and encouraged to use any of the patterns you’ve suggested and have some really cute me made outfits.
I love how thoughtful you are about picking out “the right” fabric to go with each pattern. When I sewed as a child and teenager, I don’t think I put the right thought into finding fabric that really matched the pattern I was making. I ended up rarely wearing the clothes I made and looking back on it now at 31 years old, I think this why. I’m just now getting back into sewing for the first time in over a decade and am being much choosier about what patterns and fabrics I buy, making sure they are ones I will actually wear.
Not just for beginners! So love it when patterns are matched with fabric type takes alot of the angst out of things - I find anyway. Lovely pattern choices and fabric matches

I started my sewing journey with using knit fabric and I prefer to use it than anything else, I’m not worried about any fabrics now which I think it helped me.
Great pattern and fabric ideas. You’re right about viscose jersey. I used this fabric for the first time last week and it was difficult to manage. It was also quite heavy and kept falling off my sewing table. I’ll try it again when I gain some more confidence with my sewing. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas. X
That was great I've got a simple top pattern and I've promised myself once I've made that I can then tackle a dress love both your suggestions.I want some new clothes and I was so disappointed with shop bought I am convinced I need to make my own .
The Art Gallery fabrics are lovely I was enthused to restart sewing by watching your vlog in which you wore a top made in a floral AG fabric. My favourite current one is West End Gathers - floral without being over the top. Best wishes to you and your whole enterprise.
