You know 10 years ago actually even 5 years ago I wouldn't of considered any kind of modeling. But it's gotten so much better. And this ampero for the price I think is unbeatable. I still love a good tube amp but the sound is getting good and the price and convenience and versatility can't be over looked anymorem
Exactly ! When I started to record my own things 14 years ago, amp sims were clearly garbage. Now, I have great amps, preamps, EQ... but i'm really considering of selling my gear and get only 2 or 3 good guitars, 1 bass, a good interface and an Axe FX/Kemper or Helix.
Tones has not postproduction at all, what you hear is what you get. Obviously if you've got a totally different guitar and a totally different style of playing how they can be 100% identical?
stuffwithjon yes. It’s just like a helix, fractal, Kemper only smaller and cheaper. The tech is very very similar to Kemper in how it captures amp tone. It’s a badass little unit especially for the price
Both are different animals. In some cases, POD has better modulations but the amp modeling of the Ampero is way better. In overall, I prefer the Ampero
I just got this pack but I am disappointed. Even after setting up the input level to the recommended -14dB level and everything, it sounded extremely bassy, deep, dirty, fizzy, and far too overdriven. The so-called custom IRs are lackluster. It sounds very different from what is heard here and I've tried it on different PAs, different headphones, regular speakers. Not to kill your enthusiasm or your business but this is very insulting to Ampero as it is a very capable device. I had a Digitech GNX3000 back in the day and the factory metal tones were better. Sorry guys, I was really excited; especially for the lead tones but I am really disappointed. The best thing would be to offer your prospective customers a taste of what your patches can do in a "one free patch when you subscribe to our newsletter" deal so that people can see what they are really getting. I am going to go on a limp and agree with one of the posters who say that this video is post-processed. I don't want to say that you guys are lying but saying "it sounds different on different PAs and on different guitars" is like an excuse of a bad mixing engineer when they defend their mix by asking "You don't like it? What are you listening to it on?" Your product needs to function on a basic level so it would produce the final effect that you intend on by some individual tweaks (Of course, if your customer is trying these out on a 75$ guitar with terrible pickups, they are obviously outliers/trolls). And just so you know, "you have a different guitar/your PA is sh*tty/you suck as a guitar player" kind of responses is not good interaction. Stringjoy--a custom string company based in Nashville--answers all my emails personally and they offer tension guides and if you are not happy, they come to you saying "OK, so you weren't happy with the last batch, let's take a look what we can do about it," when you say you are not satisfied with your purchase and they are a much bigger company than you. To be totally fair, CT_Recto from this pack is not that bad. It can work on some level with some tweaks.
Dear Caner, thanks for your interest in our products and for your support. Also thanks for this big review. I'd just like to say that the tone you could hear in the demo is EXACTLY what you'll download. This video is not postprocessed in any way. We don't need to do this and we don't do anything. Patches must be loaded properly. You've published this comment about one hour after your purchase and in my opinion you spent at least 40 minutes writing this. I've got several doubt about your loading and testing procedure in about 15 minutes...
@@ChopTonesOfficial Thanks for the reply and making assumptions about my comment typing speed, my testing procedure, and my setup. But please, man, stop putting the blame on your unsatisfied customers and try to help them out. It's not a good look. But still, I hope you are successful as a business. Cheers!
I can't wait to get mine in May. This sounds amazing.
Such awesome tones! Can you please do a comparison with the Mooer GE200?
I got one Ampero now. WOW....! I love it.
Can you turn the cab sim on/off for each individual output?

@@kevrem984 I've been considering consolidating my gear for the last year or two but I can't bring myself to sell any of it, especially the guitars.
What you know about Theo Valeton GP100 or GP200??
Great tones!!
Como agrego estos patches?
Great stuff as always, waiting for preamp live patches or tone capture!!!!
The best one in That pricerange Killer
Can it use for Ampero stomp II?
No, but here you could find our Ampero II Stomp lineup: www.choptones.com/collections/ampero-ii
which pickups were used on the video?
Звук бомба за такие деньги : ) И весит мало! Не надо возить за собой огромные педалборды или большие, тяжёлые процессоры эффектов : )
ampero one в этом плане ещё лучше)

Does this sound good through a cab. I'm assuming this is recording di.
Is this done with the stock IRs? Sounds very pleasant
No, we used our Custom IRs. They're included with the pack.
@@ChopTonesOfficial Lovely lovely lovely!
I bought these presets and they sound differently and very dim in contrast to the video. I'm not happy!

Дмитрий Егоров I’m considering purchasing this pack. Were you able to EQ the tones to where you liked it better?
can go directly to mixer?
Yes!
Does it sound good through a cab?
Yeah I'm wondering this as well. That's how I'll be using it.
Does it work on Ampero One?
Yes!
Can you connect this to a speaker cab? How about a FRFR cab?
stuffwithjon yes. It’s just like a helix, fractal, Kemper only smaller and cheaper. The tech is very very similar to Kemper in how it captures amp tone. It’s a badass little unit especially for the price
