    Sir , if we have not given any dead load then in that case , will we calculate span moment with maximum load at one span only and the load on other span will be zero ?

    Thank you for this great Video
    My question is as per graph you show in start of video for fixed beam When the beam fail ? When the both ma and mc in collpase zone or when ma in collapse and mc in dectile zone?

    • @ajitkurey5225
      @ajitkurey5225 4 года назад

      And if answer is ma in collapse and mc in dectile zone is this ma not increase more and wait to mc come in collapse zone

    • @e-techengg2965
      @e-techengg2965  4 года назад +1

      Ma in collapse zone with full plasification and centre section Mc just reached to end of ductile range. This will cause three sections fully plastified leading to collapse

    Thank you sir for the good explanation. Can I know in what condition can a beam be classified as “under reinforced”. Do we have a quantitative limit like the percentage of reinforcement in order for the beam to be “under reinforced”. Thanks and I just subscribed your channel.

    • @e-techengg2965
      @e-techengg2965  4 года назад

      Thanks. The percentage of tension steel is influencing the type. Depends on type of steel, the limiting percentage of tention steel can be found for beam to be under reinforced. Pt.lim =(0.36fck/0.87fy)×(1100/(0.87fy+700))
