Gaia and Uranus, both parents of Alexia who is a new 21 st century Titan, ... well done. Julia said it was her inspiration 3 years ago before starting writing the script. The birth of a new humanity. I like her explanation with the Christian parallel, it makes sens. ''Once upon a time it was life'' was an influence in the movie ? I know both Julia parents are doctors. Her mother is a gynaecologist, Julia is fasciated by mutants. Her parents kept talking about babies born with genetic modifications.

I honestly borderline hated this film but I still love her passion and enjoyed the interview. Also a big reason this film evoked such a strong negative reaction from me was due to how competently made it was. Beautifully shot scored and acted, but emotionally it did not connect or resonate with me at all. If it was fundamentally incompetent or technically terrible I'd just turn it off right away lol. I couldn't pull my eyes away despite not liking it. Regardless, I like to hear perspectives from visionary and unique filmmakers.

You're entitled to your opinion, but if you genuinely think this is the "worst movie ever made", odds are you've not seen many films and your opinion is wildly unfounded. I mean, I can understand not liking it, but given that it won the Palme d'Or and has high critical acclaim, I highly doubt it's the "worst movie ever made".
