This show was created for manufacturing pop stars. They couldn't handle Allison's awesomeness.
you are bang-on ! they were looking for someone who sang "pop" as it was the "in" music at that time and rock was "out." However, it backfired on them as Kris was not a popular sell at the box office. Allison is doing well and she has written some awesome songs.
Almost everything the judges said was bullsh*t. Guys, She is a Rockstar. I love her, and I love evrything she sings, she is grat
Allison was, without question, my favorite girl this season.
She had wicked awesome vocal chops - vocal maturity beyond her age.
Though I thought that this was her weakest performance that she gave on the show, she still outshined the females. I do agree that I found the outfit distracting though. And I also wondered what her purpose was in having the guitar on stage, if she was barely going to play it?
Thankfully, this performance was just a spot on the radar compared to her others, because she proved throughout the competition that she could sing slow and uptempo songs, yet still putting her own natural rock edge on them. Examples: Singing “Alone” to get into top 12, Give In To Me (top 13), Papa Was a Rolling Stone (top 10), I Can’t Make You Love Me (top 8), Someone to Watch Over Me (top 5), just to name the ones that stood out most to me.

I turned this off before the judges gave their critique. I read some comments below and knew I would get pissed. I love every single thing about this, her song, her look, her voice. One of the losers who's comment was especially rude has all One Direction videos on their channel, that explains why their opinion belongs in the toilet. Allison you're perfect.

I agree with this a great deal. I suspect that the reason they criticized her “ensemble” is because the way a star dresses and presents him/herself on stage can affect how audiences take in the music & the overall performance. Personally I found it distracting and harder to listen to her sing; perhaps the judges felt similarly and expected that audiences may feel the same. I also wondered if the guitar playing was distracting for her, as it wasn’t until after she stopped playing that she enunciated her words and delivered them clearly.
I said in my comment that this was her weakest performance on the show, yet she still outshone the females in spite of that. This performance was just a spot on the radar compared to so many that she put her unique twist on and succeeded with. When she landed in the bottom three after this, I have no doubt she was the “one” that Simon considered worth saving.
I'll say her "weakest" performance was her Aerosmith cover but like you say she never had a bad performance.

I think Alison looks fine, but with the great voice she has, she doesn't need it... She did not shout the song, it was great.

Her voice it's beautiful but I think she didn't shine and Simon was right she is to shy she doesn't speak English a hundred percent she said "i wanted to DO a risk " reason why she was shy it's because she wasn't confidente speaking English .
like you - English is her second language but she speaks it well
English isn't my first language, either, and from that perspective I'd say that she did well! Getting rid of a foreign accent isn't always the most important thing, avoiding mistakes comes first, imo, and I couldn't hear any!
