Whoever pushed for Harry to get the Pat Tillman Award is doing him a huge disservice. His not so glamorous past in the military keeps being dug up when people might have given it a pass or simply forgotten, had he kept a really low profile. Now he practically invites people to revisit old stories and headlines that shame and embarrass him to no end.

This is such a good point! And it's fascinating. We tend to think of dimwit Harry as just being Meghan's puppet, but he's actually ANYONE'S puppet. Anyone who wants a free slingshot into the limelight just has to sling him an award - and the more ridiculous the better! The more outrageous it is, the stupider and nastier it makes him look, the more viral news of the event goes. HIS reputation takes the hit, not theirs, and meanwhile THEIR brand recognition goes through the roof. He's the perfect patsy, too stupid to realise he's the butt of the joke. He'll keep taking the poisoned bait and letting the piranha's take their little bite of his royal carcass (what's left of it), showing zero ability to protect his own reputation, his own standing in the military community, or the sporting community, or the charitable community...wow. No wonder there's a pile-on with the awards!
You are saying that if harry apologizes and blames megan for everything that he will be forgiven by his family and the British people? I don't think so. He is a 40-year-old man (supposedly) and he can take responsibility for his own actions. Just my opinion.
Standing ovation!!!! I'm sick to death of hearing how he can be forgiven. NO -- this is ALL his fault. Someone gave him a little "special" attention (she love bombed him is what she did!!!) but he is an adult. Okay, he has the mentality of a 12 YO but others warned him. HE is responsible for bringing her into his family AND for "unleashing" all of this hatred and evil with her on his family and the world. His fault -- never forget, never forgive.
If he apologizes AND takes responsibility for his own behavior AND does not demand anything of his family. He might be forgiven. However that won't happen b/c he won't apologize and take ownership. He is in too deep.

What Harry did is not easy to get past. He betrayed his family and his country. They can't trust him and once trust is destroyed, it takes more than groveling to get it back. He has to earn it back. I think Harry may be forgiveness by his family if he seeks it and ask for it with all his heart. I think his father has already forgiven him. However, trust is gone and that will take a very long time to get back, if ever, and then only if he truly changes and show he deserves to be trusted. That won't happen overnight. It will take a very long time, if ever.
He has half a brain to know what he had before , and how he was treated by the royal family covering for his misdeeds.
I am an older American woman, a feminist, a retired attorney, a lifelong liberal Democrat and a true believer in American democracy. I am fully engaged, as a US citizen, in the democratic process of my country and consider it my duty, as a citizen, to be so engaged. I, like you Brittany, can't even contemplate the possibility of monarchy in the US. BUT, I am staunch supporter and admirer of the British monarchy. I don't understand why so many people think that it is inconsistent with being an American patriot to be a fan of the British royal family.
I too love the history, the drama, the fashion and the bling. I also find it intriguing to see how the royal family in GB has become like a mythical glue that holds the country together. Especially when I see the US so divided, it does come to mind that we could use something like Britain's royal family to bring us together as Americans. I watched the events of the last Jubilee and it was really heartwarming to see how people in the UK came together, merely as British not as Labor or Tory, to celebrate their country. Keep your monarchy Britain, I think it is an advantage to you for more than economic reasons.

While my family are more republican minded, I admire and appreciate the Royal family and British history for the same reasons you have described so eloquently. Even if they divorce and he comes back, he will never be accepted in the family. He'll get sent away somewhere...he's too damaged and broken.
I think they will give him a stipend to live off of and a small property in turn for keeping his mouth shut, and out of the limelight. Also, he will have to put all his titles in to abeyance to prevent his ex wife and Hollywood children from damaging the monarchy further.

1. I don't think the insults the family dunce heaped on William are reasonable (overseen by chefs and nannies, a bigger child needs more fuel) or forgetable (criticizing his hair loss and looks, things no one can control). His jealousy of his older brother has eaten away his soul. He really believes he is superior to William. 2. His disloyalty to Catherine, the sister he always wanted, was unwarrented and insultingly quick. 3. Finally, the comments made by both the dunce and the dunce's wife regarding the Wales family are traitorous, threatening, and disrespectful. How dare they threaten the children. Rather than him "being able to teach them a few things", I think those kids can never be left alone with him. These aren't things he can walk back. In light of all the above, why should they give him the opportunity to try. You can try to blame Megan but his lack of characteatr is what allowed it. What could the next person convince him to do to them? He has no love for or wish to protect his family. A very small stipend and a tiny cottage somewhere won't hold him. He will continue to push himself forward even without Megan. I think the Tower and/or beheading is the only solution that would work.
I feel so sorry for Mrs Mary Tillman. She raised a wonderful son and then lost him in terrible circumstances. Then had to fight the US government for the truth. Now she is seeing her son's legacy forever tarnished by association with a man who is the antihesis of her son. The only similarity between Harry and Pat is that went to Afghanistan. The similarity ends there.
Pat Tillman's legacy will never seem tarnished to the majority of Americans.

Americans often seem to say they wouldn't curtsey to royalty but would it be considered acceptable to go up to the President (Joe Biden for the sake of argument) and say 'Hi Joe, great to meet you' and give him a kiss. My point being you should respect other countries culture and traditions and avoid causing offence.

I find it rude and disrespectful to refuse to curtsy/bow to a member of our royal family, especially from someone who is supposed to be a historian and understands the historical significance of the royal family. Also considering you make your living from commenting on the royal family

I am also a history buff and my daughter & i have followed the BRF.( We have arguments about whether they are going to dig up Edward the Confessor.. for the 4th time).
The Oprah interview was horrible. I know enough to know they were lying from the very beginning. I am plenty old enough to remember the Diana years.
I also noted that it was very odd that a nobody would be featured first for at least half an hour.

I saw some highlights of this stupid interview on RUclips. Oprah looked like an idiot with her "whaaatt". She never challenged Meghan's obvious big lies. Meghan was so dramatic in a similar dress of Wallis Simpson. Couldn't stand when she said in a whispering way "how dark his skin could be.." and emphasized on the D of dark and she wasn't even there. It was Harry's story to tell and be challenged as well. Meghan is not a strong and resilient woman. She has tantrum, cries over a dress, really??? With her new status as a HRH, she could have done so much for people (not for her).She could have been so loved by the public especially now with the King and the Princess of Wales recovering from their treatment. Harry and her could have had the spotlight for themselves by doing the right things. They were impatients and now all they get is bad press.
I guess Meghan has never hear of Napa Valley or Sonoma, California. The wine business is very serious and is not to be used as a stepping stone for fame. WINE? In California? Cheap Ripple will not be happy with the competition.

The Montecito/Santa Barbara area has many established orchards, farms and vineyards. Many of these have their own product line or contracts and clientele. This market is saturated with established buyers and vendors. She will have a hard time sourcing her product in that area.

I am an American patriot. My father was a USAF pilot in the 50's and he was stationed in England, and he loved it. So we have that connection. We respect the culture and traditions of other countries. I love my country and the royals, too! They are our closest allies and cultural cousins in many ways. But I respect all countries, my friends grandparents are from all over the world. I would curtsey, because I don't officially represent the USA, and I would do it out of respect.

It’s common to not remember what happens before a trauma. Almost seven years later, I still have no memory of what happened just before my car was hit. Princess Anne may never remember what happened.
Concussion would have given her memory loss of what happened, it may never come clear how or what happened. My cousin had a terrible fall from a horse, she can remember falling, that's it, but she was dragged, and trampled!! Broken arm, collar bone, ribs and jaw, cracked skull and severe concussion!

There is no recognition of being poor when everyone within your sphere lives the same way. Poverty is recognized when people move into new places and can see how others live and realize that some people have more wealth than others and live different lives.
If they are keeping the kids hidden to protect their privacy, well, why have children to begin with if they are going to cloister them for their entire lives. When H was a kid, he went on many family vacations which by all accounts would have made him appreciative of his family and would have resulted in a well developed child/person. Well, that didn’t work. Their kids will grow up severely underdeveloped socially imo.

@jmoore - the citizens of the UK would have to take part in a referendum to get rid of the monarchy first. If they did vote to end the monarchy then parliament could pass an act to abolish it. It’s not something the prime minister would decide on his own😊

My Uncle was Royal Chaplain at the Tower of London. His home was next to the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincular. There’s a full community in the Tower.
The traffic in LA is horrible, and you move slowly. So the commute would be more like 4 hours!

When your voice reaches the higher registers, your vocals tend to screech. Another way to correct this would be to speak an octave lower than normal. I do love your content.

Even as an American, if I was ever to be presented to a king, queen or a working member of any RF & esp. if I was in their country, I would bow out of respect for their customs. Just as when I was at a sporting event in another country, I stood when their national anthem was played even though it was not my own. We won our war against being governed by a monarchy system but manners and civility cost us nothing when we are guests in other countries. Edited to add - many RUclipsrs are reporting or hearing from their watchers that their subscribers are being somehow unsubscribed or not being notified - many of them are pro royals too.

Balmoral is north of Edinburgh, inland from Aberdeen, it's 100 miles and would take about 2.5 hours to drive, or longer in a bus. Stirling Castle would be much more interesting, and there's tons to see in Stirling, similar to Edinburgh but much less crowded.
