He only has 1 British Military decoration and that's the standard medal that everyone who's served overseas gets. Harry l mean, if Pat Tillman served in a British Regiment, he'd probably have won the at least the Military Cross and very probably the Victoria Cross

Wounded Warriors, a credible American charity has been here since 2010, why not give the award to them and not to a British National that lifted the idea and made sure that it remains solely 'his' although the initial funding was from his family? No one ever said Harry was a hero during his military service. He never risked his own life to save the lives of others. It was reported he was never a pilot because he could not pass the test to become one.
Harry's claim to fame is he served in an unremarkable fashion in the military (for a year or two?). That deserves a "thank you for your service" from a stranger on the street, not an award during an event that will be televised.
*CORRECTION:*
After some online research, I found that Harry served for 10 years in the military from 2005 - 2015. During those 10 years, he was deployed 2 separate times to Afghanistan. He was deployed for 10 weeks from 2007 - 2008. His second deployment was for 20 weeks with the Army Air Corps from 2012 - 2013. He served as a co-pilot gunner. The rest of his military service was served in the UK.
I could not find anything that indicated he was heroic or served with distinction. What I read is that whenever there was a risk of danger to Harry, he was pulled back from that danger and protected due to his royal status.
Unlike his Uncle Prince Andrew who served for 22 years and did fly rescue and decoy missions .

If he had stayed in the Royal Family, and continued his work in service for Britain, he would not be ridiculed or disdained. He does have a strong in intelligence in intrapersonal interactions. Harry’s biggest problem is that he has been protected his entire life. Charles and Diana knew they had a son with mental health problems. He has ADHD (allegedly) and he fits the profile perfectly. He is also an entitled, stubborn, jealous individual. After Diana died, the Royal Family took over that protection. They covered up any of his indiscretions and pushed him out as the fun Prince. Then, Meghan took over this role, using love bombing and drugs to keep him in her control. I have no doubt he is stunned. She has gotten away with all her evil acts by his Royal association. But now America has finally woken up to both of them. This award and the treatment of Mary Tillman, will be the nail in the coffin for their PR and reputation.

He was not capable of getting through school so they had to change the requirements for him to get through at all. I don't think the Queen was surprised when he decided not to go to Uni and was probably relieved. All through his military career, he was playing a lot of video games and doing drugs while the real soldiers were on duty. You are correct that he was too ignorant to pass the pilot exam, which is necessarily hard. He was always a ride-along. I'm sure the REAL pilots groaned everytime they found out they had to babysit the baby.

However, the gunner is a co-pilot in an Apache helicopter so he wasn't the captain/main pilot, but co-pilot, so by default must be able to fly it..... 🤔

HRH Prince William also flew a helicopter as an air sea rescue pilot, this was potentially a very dangerous job, having to rescue people from all sorts of difficult weather conditions, he is much more a legend of aviation than hazbeen

I'm in Australia and knew all about Pat Tillman thanks to the excellent documentary The Tillman Story which I viewed many years ago. Fascinating and heart-breaking.
This has raised awareness and support for Pat Tilman's award. Harry should never have been nominated because 1. He us NOT American. 2. He is not a HERO. 3. His Charities benefit him more than those who need the support. Ban him and his toxic wife.
As the proud grandmother of a new US Marine, I can’t quite picture Harry surviving boot camp. If I’m wrong, apologize, but I simply can’t see a coddled prince getting through the crucible and the 12 grueling weeks leading up to it.

I am British and completely agree Hazbeen should never have been put forward for this award to honor Pat Tillman . Who is an American Hero . Have just read his wife and her now husband are CEO of the Pat Tillman fund and take huge salaries around 95% of the funds donated for themselves . Hope somebody in the US could look into this and see if by their accounts it’s true or not .
I think Invictus Games pays H and M too much salary along with her clothes allowance , expensive hotels , flights security etc etc . All the money should go to veterans on both side of the Atlantic .

My problem with the award is that it is an American award. Harry is a UK Prince with Invictus that was started by Royals. It should go to an American who is an unknown doing amazing things.

Prince Harry was known as ‘bunker Harry’ by the other troops, and famously couldn’t even pass his helicopter flying exams. He barely qualifies as having military duty in most people’s books. To be given an award that’s based on someone who gave up a lucrative sports career to serve his country after 911 is ridiculous. Harry left his country behind. He’s a joke. Don’t degrade the Tillman award. About the only thing honourable that Harry could do is turn the award down - which actually would elevate him a bit in my eyes.
He will never admit he did not merit any award he received. It's all he has, while he watches other royals being celebrated for actual achievements of their own.

H’s uncle Prince Andrew is more deserving of this award. He flew rescue and decoy missions during the Falklands war and when they wanted to pull him out Andrew refused and continued to serve. Andrew spent 22 years in the British Navy and was a real war hero who served his country with honour and didn’t have a security force protecting him like H did.
H still thinks he is that little boy who lost his mother when he isn’t and the wife is allowing that fantasy to continue instead of getting him the help he needs.

Harry has taken the "I AM" part of the Invictus motto to heart, thinking that HE is the Invictus Games. Not the wounded Veterans, not the families that support them on their journey nor the thousands of volunteers that turn up and help the games run smoothly at the venues. For this reason (and many others) Harry does NOT embody the Pat Tillman award and should be ashamed to think he deserves the honour associated with it.
Prince William is fully licensed to fly an Apache helicopter, Harry isn't. In fact, there is footage of Prince William taking an Apache for a spin by himself recently 😊

He never commanded a helicopter overseas. He always sat in the second gunners seat. He only trained on a military base in Arizona USA to fly Apache helicopters. But he never could pass the final test. There are no videos or pictures of him ever receiving his wings. After his training in Arizona, he went to Las Vegas, where pictures of him romping naked with escorts plastered all over the newspapers.

Harry was sent back to England on his first tour of duty. The press was notified of his return and showed up en-masse to see him being collected by Charles and William, barely 10 weeks after leaving. Photographs appeared in every newspaper. Harry was scowling at the press.
He stayed in for his 2nd tour, but was kept out of danger.
Meghan has applied for trade marks for dozens and dozens of products to be sold online. They have no idea how to run such a huge operation. Just storing the stock would need an enormous warehouse. It takes up to 18 months for trade marks to be given, and we all know that Meghan doesn't take advice well.
The divorce of the couple is making headlines now, with Harry wishing to return to Britain being the story. Meghan would never be welcome there and Harry will take a long time to convince the British that he can be trusted. I signed the petition to have ESPN drop the award presentation.
Actor Gary Sinise deserves the Pat Tillman Award more for his extensive humanitarian work and he's a supporter of various veterans' organizations.

My friends who did tours of Iraq and Afghanistan spent 12-18 months deployed. Harry was there for 10 weeks. He shouldn’t have even gotten the Afghanistan service medal! And he was never a pilot! For someone who hates “misinformation” so much he has no problem pushing plenty of his own! 😠
