Juan Gabriel is one of the most prolific Mexican composers ever, he wrote....well over 100 songs or more. He was, because he did sadly pass away, one of the most powerful voices in Mexico and some kids would definitely had grown up with his music.

Every time u feature his music u share him with an audience that might otherwise never hear of him. Don't pay attention to negative comments. People forget that they also had a FIRST time hearing of Juan Gabriel (JuanGa). Juan "batted for the other team" if u get my drift but yeah pregnancies happened n those moments, im quite sure.

Juan Gabriel (Gāh-bree-elle) is (was!) a Mexican Superstar Icon, singer, songwriter and mentor, and although he never "came out" it was largely speculated he was gay. His fans and the public alike didn't focus on that, they focused on his mega talent. He passed away in 2016 after a concert, but his legacy will live forever. His songs continue to be performed by many, superstars and unknowns alike. He IS Loved by many worldwide! Look up his discography and take a listen.

Interesting tid bit. Juan Gabriel was actually first discovered by an American man, who wanted to be the one to launch him into stardom. He found him in Mexico, drove him into the States-illegally. (It was easier to do back in the early 70s) He placed Juan Gabriel with a family and arranged for him to learn English. As it turned out, Juan Gabriel couldn't adapt. He wanted to sing in his own language, so he returned to Mexico and became a star his own way.

so the relevant thing about Juan Gabriel and the reson many people respect him is because he was such a incredible artist with more than 40 studio albums and 1800+ songs that he composed, basically every artist on the 80´s-90´s had at least one big hit that Juan Gabriel composed, he was very versatile. He also Composed, porduced and interpret his songs. It is really the pride of Mexico and is very well known in all america latina even the US, so many people here think that your reaction was actually kind of disrespectful and totally get why, me personally i understand you couldn´t be less bothered by this kind of music and even less to try to understand what the lyrics are about, that, and also that you tried to take this the "comedic" way and it came out as disrespectful in general but specially because this song it´s legendary and so relevant in his career.
